2025 Fit Expo was awesome! Lots of well known fitness brands and lots of free samples. It was cool to see so many exhibits have interactive aspects -- like a jump rope contest, a pull up competition, or a bball goal to shoot on etc! Would recommend if you're into fitness and products around it

The 2024 Fit Expo at the Convention Center celebrated its 20th year and it was the largest and best to date. I attend this event every year and it gets bigger and better each time. The event draws a large crowd over the 2 days. There are exhibits from product vendors, fitness and strength challenges, merchandise, panelist, obstacles coarse, yoga, cooking presentations and more. This year I received the 2-Day Weekend Package as a Christmas gift.I met some great athletes, sampled really great nutrition products, networked with a few of the top execs in the business and learned a few tips on healthy meal recipes. I had an awesome time, as usual.

First off, The Fit Expo is also hosted in Anaheim, San Jose, and San Diego. Please refer to their website when they are hosting it in those locations, but this is a review specifically for the Los Angeles location. Alright, let's being...went for the very first time the beginning of January this year and I was amazed by the event and what it was all about. It was definitely not what I expected and so happy I had the opportunity to go. Thank you my friend Lainy and fellow Yelp Elite for inviting me to this expo. At the beginning of each year, like most people, I try to set goals and hit them. This year was to be more fit, take more classes, and just all-around be more active. So when Lainy has mentioned she was going to The Fit Expo, it was only fitting for me to join her. I didn't really look up any information about this event, I just knew that I had to meet her at the Convention Center in my workout gear. Personally, I imagined this giant convention center hosting many workout classes and you just jump into one fitness class after another. They had that and so much more. When I walked in, I was completely shocked. People were holding endless number of bags of lots of goodies and drinks. Lots of freebies from many vendors trying to get their product out there and giving them away by the handful. I remember there was a booth for a lot of different healthy granola bars, chips that were vegan friendly, and a protein pop-tart catered towards those to build muscle but want to try something different aside from protein shakes. They also had a lot of interesting competitions for arm wrestling, and I remember seeing a group of people planking in a line in hopes to win a grand prize. There was a section where people were wrestling on the ground and like what I expect, they had group classes in the Group Training Zone area. There were a variety of classes in 30 minute increments so my friends and I took two classes back-to-back: The Pussycat Dolls-inspired dance clss with Marissa Heart and Robin Antin as well as H24 Fit and Flexy class with Denise Cervantes! The Pussycat Doll-inspired one was cute and flirty while the H24 kicked you into gear and had friendly competitions where you can win prizes which was very nice of them to do. It was neat to see all of the different products the vendors were selling. They had a few booths with CBD-infused products, there were a few military (army, law enforcement, marines, etc.) recruitments there, famous bodybuilders, and even companies trying to give away vacations in return for your time. This is a perfect event for anyone who loves fitness for sure. This is something well worth coming to year-after-year in my opinion just because of all free stuff the vendors are giving away to promote their items. Admission is $30 and I've heard you can get coupons online for a discounted rate. There plenty of street parking around the neighborhoods near Convention Center but because there was a game at the Staples Center at that time, it might be best to just park in the parking lots/garages so you don't have to walk too far. Pro tip: Bring your own big bag. Although some vendors give away bags for you fill up, it's better if you bring your own duffle bag or back pack to carry the stuff. As you can see from my photos, I was able to take a good amount of stuff back home and the only thing I brought was my purse. This is definitely one of those events I plan to go year after year just because I had so much fun with my friends and love trying to new drinks and energy bars they have out there that I can start purchasing for my household! Thank you to everyone who contributed to The Fit Expo and making my experience amazing! Can't wait to see you next year!

People watching these beasts. So strong

We got there around 1:20pm on Saturday since I had tickets from Goldstar. The expo looked huge, but it really didn't have as much as previous years. Understandable with Covid and all. Oh well. We went to watch some of my husband's friends compete. Total beasts! Insane how strong some people are. There looked like so many people inside that it was busier than Disneyland (I went last weekend) in some areas. After we watched some of the Pro 2022 Drug Tested American Cup, we walked around to see what they had. They had free snacks from Ralph's to try there and had some for you to take home and try. The line was longggg, but it moved alone nicely. We got a good amount of samples everywhere. We bought a few items for sale. Overall, it was a good 2 hours there, and we found some new brands we really liked. I would recommend (as long as you get a discount on the tickets). It's not worth the normal price.

Had an awesome time! Tickets were $30; however there were plenty of opportunity to get discounted tickets early from various websites. Parking: I knew was going to be difficult , so I opted to Uber versus paying for parking which I noticed was anywhere from $15-$30. Inside there were several rows of different vendors, and athletes; as well workshops/seminars. I never realized how many different types of protein bars there are out there. I really enjoyed all the samples, and gaining inspiration from the many athletes that were on hand and very willing to give advice. Plan to spend at least 2-3 hours if you visit multiple booths. I highly recommend for everyone, even if you don't consider yourself a major athlete.

I love fitness and so does my Godson..it was a perfect bday present for him..webleft with bags full of goodies..cant wait for the next one

The full price of admission is not worth it($30) considering what you are getting pretty much energy drinks and 1 serving protein powder. It's low cost to the vendors. To get your money's worth you have to haul 15+ cans. I went to this event 3 times and in the past, a lot of them gave out cool sports bottles, tshirts, towels etc. This year there were no protein bars, either! Just cans mostly from everyone. I paid $16 Groupon for the 1 day and 8 dollar parking 2 blocks away. That's $24 and took half day

Awesome motivational speech from the current Mr. O

What a fantastic event! So much to do and see. The crossfit competitions were awesome, especially between the LA team and the team from Redlands on Sunday. The Olympic lifting was unreal. I try not to miss this event not because of the freebies (they are nice) but I need the motivation and pump I get from attending these expos. The seminars were awesome, the highlight, of course, was Phil Heath's talk on success. Go, Phil! Keep on winning, man! Folks who are into fitness, body building, and clean living will find this event fun. Yes, it's packed and it's loud and some folks act immature, but ignore the distractions and focus on why you are there and you'll do fine.

To avoid online dating I've decide to start going to places I can find my future husband. First up...The Fitness Expo...I think several of them were there! Are you into fitness? Do you love to see the newest supplements, equipment, and workout gear? If so this place will be your heaven. I love to workout. I did Crossfit for years until I tore my rotator cuff. Then I tore my meniscus spinning and hurt my back lifting weights. Needless to say I have tried almost every different kind of workout and I'm not afraid to get hurt. I'm always excited to see the newest products in hopes that I'll find a new fun workout or a way to recover faster. At the fitness expo you can expect to see all the new pre/post workout supplements, protein shakes/bars, and fitness equipment for individuals or gym owners. There are fitness competitions, shows, and demonstrating going on throughout the day to keep you entertained. If you are only into one particular kind of fitness, they will most likely have plenty of booths for you. They have lots of stuff for Crossfitters but also tons of stuff for all the Gym junkies. They definitely catered mostly to bodybuilders and had lots of bodybuilding stars signing autographs. People were there in line to take pictures with them but I didn't have the time even thought they were hot! Don't cry guys, there were a lot of pretty models for you too! I was super excited about the exercise clothes I got. They had so many funny shirts with funny logos and sayings on them that were hilarious. They catered equally to men and for women which was nice. You can't forget about us ladies! One of my favorite thing was all the free samples that you can get, I tried not to be greedy. The vendors gave out almost everything you can think of. There are samples you can take home or ones that you can try right on the spot. They provide bags throughout the expo encouraging you to fill it up with samples so it's really not my fault! The expo will cost you $30 to enter for the day, no matter what time you go in. I got there a few hours before closing and still paid full price. However it was totally worth the money. I guess there were coupons at Ralph's to save money on admission but I must have missed the memo. The expo has long hours and even though I had a short period there I got a lot done. When I was leaving on Sunday all the vendors were packing up so they gave me a lot of free items because they didn't want to carry all their products home. I scored big-time! That was honestly one of the biggest bonuses of leaving when they were closing on Sunday. I can't wait to go back next year but hopefully with a coupon! I paid $25 to park across the street but I hear you can park farther away for $10. Next time I will be on the lookout for that other parking lot.

    Joseph Y.

I love the LA Fitness Expo and look forward to attending each year. The event is on Saturday's and Sunday's, but if you want to avoid being packed like sardines then I recommend going on Sunday. You can park across the street for $30 or down a few blocks for $10. Entry is $25 per day or you can find coupons in select vitamin stores use your Ralph's Club card and receive $10 off per admission. Located at the Convention Center, the vendors, competitions and shows are all located in one room. Plenty of companies giving out free product samples and selling products at discounted prices so be sure to come with a backpack to carry all of the stuff. If you are into fitness, bodybuilding or general athletics than this is the event you want to attend to learn about all of the new product and technology breakthroughs happening today. Big upside, you get to meet plenty of famous bodybuilders, physique models, MMA fighters, boxers, strongmen, models etc. Sure some of them have long wait lines for an autograph, but it's well worth it. 5 Stars all the way.

**** Should had called The Muscle Expo *** The Fit Expo was established in 2003 sponsor by Bodybuilding.com be held in Los Angeles Convention Center ever since. It uses only one hall in the center. There's a lot to see from Arm Wrestling to Sumo Wrestling. Thumbs Up: + 26 events (6 added this year) + Many food samples (mostly protein bars and energy drinks..) + Chance to meet some very famous bodybuilder like Ronnie Coleman for this year (2013) Thumbs Down: - Poor website, the schedule of the event did not release till lasts minute. - No event schedule was giving in the show, no information booth. - $20 retail admission is a bit high. Note: * Sumo wrestling are actually very popular here only second to the Iron Man competition. * They gave you wrist band so you can come back. * Check with coupon and promotion from sponsor, you could save a lot. My 2 Cents: The Fit Expo is pretty good expo, if you are body builder your self is worth to check it, but for people that aren't fit, this will not be a good place, is more like people who wanted to gain muscle and six packs... I still think is worthy of 4 instead of 3 stars, consider this is a unique event and does gave me some new eye candy.

The welcome sign for the expo!
    Dorothy G.

What a wonderful Event! This is my 1st #LAFitExpo that I have been to and it was great! I know a lot of body builders personally... but this was insane when it came to the lines. I didn't stand in the lines.. just one for my husband. Other than that I just went to watch and do the competitions they had and to meet new people! I'm definitely going again next year! A lot of motivational people there for sure! Obviously it's not for everyone! But if you're definitely into being fit and like to try the competitions they have then come join and have fun! :-) It may be crowded but at least you're not home on your butts! ;-) Less crowded was on Sunday! They definitely had lots of samples and some giveaways! Looking forward to the next Expo! :-)

But Saturday was cool, Clover's grass was green, and the atmosphere was indeed festive. There were several options for free or metered parking in supervised lots within walking distance, making at least our vehicular arrival and departure quick and painless. After leaving the car, we made a beeline for the park's restrooms, where, as it typically happens whenever we step out to a fairground, we spent a considerable chunk of our visit waiting our turns in slow-moving lines. Plenty of music filled our ears while we waited, especially the notes coming from center stage, where a featured group, The Lions, sounded particularly captivating. We quietly joined standing watchers later on, just in time to see The Lions wrap up their soulful and energetic gig. Festival treats were also close at hand, so we couldn't miss tasting Linde's old-fashioned sugar roasted almonds. We followed our noses to her popular table where I impulsively grabbed us a couple of warm paper cones in a sweet twofer deal. Linde jokingly asked if we were unable to share, to which I honestly replied, "yes." It was a fair-tastic time. The usual apparel gifts and arts-and-craftsy things were available for passers-by to browse and purchase, and interactive activities engaged families, kids, and kids-at-heart. It seemed apparent to us after one walk-through that the city government was out to connect with and educate visitors in exchange for cheap swag and fun, with a number of public service kiosks that let you spin wheels and answer questions for prizes. We didn't get around to checking everything out (see Tess M.'s yelp here: http://bit.ly/11hmlqO for some neat things we missed), but all in all, the Festival was pleasant and low-key, which is pretty much Santa Monica in a nutshell.

I didn't really know what to expect, so I decided not to expect too much. There were a lot of mixed reviews on Yelp (complaints were mostly about the cost) so I kept an open mind. THE VERDICT: Totally WORTH IT. This whole production was well put-together. It was beautifully created with a lot of imagination. The engineering and construction alone were astonishing, how long did it take them to put it all up! And I really liked that they coordinated all the lights' movements with the music coming off the assigned radio station (107.9.) And those souls braving the cold as they entertained us with their dance moves... KUDOS! (I didn't get to see what's in the VIP box but going by how each of my passengers went through it like the Tasmanian Devil, I'm gonna assume whatever was in there was fun!) If this is your thing, here are a few tips: 1) Entry is at Holly and Huntington NOT at the main entrance. If you do end up at the main entrance, they'll reroute you. No worries. 2) You can come through as early as 30 minutes before your scheduled time, but try to be there within that window just for the sake of being considerate. The whole thing is about 45 minutes to an hour, all depending on how slow or fast you go. 3) CLEAN YOUR WINDSHIELDS! I meant to, but I completely forgot. But even with the semi-dirty glass, it was still pretty good. 4) Sunroofs are great! I didn't have one (wouldn't have mattered if I did since I was the one behind the wheel) but I was sorta jealous of the peeps who made full use of it. I imagine that's the best way to experience it. 5) You are allowed to open your windows. Just watch out for fog machines... 6) Take your time and let it all sink in. If you can afford it, I highly recommend it, something cool to do social distancing style. It's an event for all ages and a great excuse to get out of the house more especially during these challenging times.

For just $15 you can have access to incredible vendors, music, food, art and overall a wonderful group of people. Everyone is so kind and cool and makes you feel at home. Each year the founder and her team (yes HER) work to curate a wide variety of vendors with something for everyone. If you're shopping for a fathers day present or something for yourself you'll find all that and more. I cannot recommend coming enough. They have shows in Portland, DC, Phoenix and LA. If you can, definitely splurge for the $45 VIP bag. Thanks unique markets!

Some sticker shock at the entry ($15), but includes a tote bag I keep in the trunk for Erewon runs for a single bottled water (also $15, so a good deal in comparison). About 100 booths of "shop small" businesses, largely handmade stuff including jewelry, soaps, clothing, cards and gifts, tarot, and food. The booths are run by the artists/sellers themselves which is a great way to connect with these super talented entrepreneurs. Hard to make the rounds without picking up a few items and supporting local artists at the same time, most of whom work out of their apartments. There are some foodie freebie samples and a freebie photo booth too. Meters all around downtown but as of this writing (5/23), self-parking in the building was a flat $8. I ended up with a giant chicken named Bella along with cards, stickers and iron-on patches. Yelpers, you will run into people you know, so the 'no sweatpants' rule applies. See you there.
