This gym is generally very quiet and everybody minds their own business. It's 24/7 so it's very convenient. It's not staffed at night, but they have the security tags and 911 phone. Even when the staff are here, they don't keep bothering you like goodlife goes with the "no bags allowed, no heavy lifting" etc. Anytime is the most chill gym. I've been to the other ones but this one is particularly immaculate. Lots of functional fitness on the turf (sleds, battle ropes, boxing bag etc) with areas for heavy lifting - no seriously, they have an olympic lifting area complete with bumper plates. The free weights area is quite small - can't fit more than 2-4 people comfortably and I found myself avoiding this area unless it was empty. Also, they only have 1 power rack, 1 squat rack and 1 smith machine. Which means you have to bench after adjusting the power rack and it doesn't cause a smooth bench session as just actually having a bench. Given that's a smaller gym, I can understand why there aren't as many machines but for my full workouts, I wouldn't be able to get it done here. Great cardio session, complete with stairmasters though. They also have individual bathrooms/showers! I think the prices here are very mediocre. I know ATF has a lot of deals/promos all the time but I had a membership @ woodbine/16 and it was around $60/month + you had to pay an extra $50 every year to update the equipment. If it's anything around the same now, this would definitely not be my gym of choice.

The interaction centered on the flag patch on my backpack (my national flag) and comments about my background, and it continued while I was trying to complete my workout. For context, I have worn the same backpack at this gym for over a year with no prior issues. Because I did not feel safe, I escalated the situation directly to management. The way it was handled left me feeling like I was treated as the problem for reporting it, rather than having the concern reviewed and addressed. My membership was revoked verbally. I was told it would be temporary and that the gym would follow up, but I have not heard from management since, and the revocation did not appear to be temporary. I'm sharing this as my firsthand experience so others can make an informed decision. Based on how this was handled, I would not recommend this gym to anyone who expects a respectful, professional, and safety-focused environment.

For what a yearly membership gets you, there is no question to the value. From access to a wide assortment of equipment for every need and fitness level, classes (which I'm a bit shy to try, but look great and engaging), to over washed towels, this is a great option for any one at any age range. Nautilus type machines are replaced and upgraded every so often, with countless free weights and items. You can also sign up for personal training sessions, which I am sure is also good value. I have been a member for a number of years, and appreciate the value, cost and no hassle of doing what you want. Some of the feedback I would graciously forward is the benches and the air. Personally, it would be great to either have a few treadmills with a blowing air option or stand up fans as with limited air circulation it can get stuffy very quickly (could be just me). My biggest gripe, which I may have suggested before, is adding an extra bench or two to the change rooms. It is a race to get changed, and the last thing we want is a ding dong and other miscellaneous items clogging the periphery. Service: 3.5/5 Gym can get really busy at times, because there's a billiards table in the lobby there's usually a lot of men gathered around there just to play pool after their workout. It is hard to find a time where the table doesn't have a lineup which is expected. There's a lot of administration staff on site and there is a snack in a smoothie bar inside as well. In the summer months and after New Year's, you may see more teenagers hanging out there which can become a distraction to your workout as some do just chat and sit around machines. This morning they refused me entry because they did not have the right number on file. REFUSED me like a criminal!! I will never recommend this place to anyone. They never clean their facilities properly and they do not care about client service. Only that they get your money. Let me repeat, there is no head-office to call or a complaint manager to look after issues like CLEANING THE FLOORS once in a while.
