Kaisa the owner makes it a welcoming, motivating and fun time to come and grind it out every time. HIIT group classes with multiple stations consisting of 4-5 movements/reps that you try to do as many times as possible. There may be some more arm or leg work than the other on some days, but it's always a go-hard full body workout. Warmup typically includes some running outside down the front of the other studios in the complex, but there are stationary bikes for anyone who doesn't want to run. I love that they make time for abs, a cool down and stretching at the end. My main classes are: Tune Up - a different HIIT workout every time, multiple tools and equipment Supercharge - a combination of HIIT and kickboxing The Racetrack - 9-10 different stations ("miles") of HIIT They have boxing gloves for rental, and of course bring your own if you have, since you'll need them for Supercharge and Burn Out (mainly kickboxing). My only qualm is boxing on the movable bags; they tend to inch away from you after each punch, so you have to either punch from the opposite side or drag the bag back. They are always changing their workout formats so it's worth checking the schedule and seeing what's happening; I think Kaisa is adding a yoga class on Sundays. Loved every second of the workout. It was nine stations and each station was different and challenging. You get an amazing sweat session in an hour and won't get bored at all. The facility is amazing and they even got a rehab station which includes cryotherapy. Kaisa loves what she does and very personal. They pay attention to everyone in the class and very approachable. Also, what I noticed that right after the workout they clean the facility and like they swiped the floors which is rare for the garage like facility to be so clean and well taken care of. I found The Fit Shop through ClassPass and am so glad I did! They have a phenomenal location, located in a warehouse district just off West Dixie Hwy. It took me a second to find it once in the area, there were a number of other businesses in various warehouses, but just drive around and you'll see the fitness equipment :) I took the Supercharge class today with Mishy Duchman, and loved her greeting. I showed up about 10 minutes before class and she gave me an introduction on what to expect and a tour of the facility. I would recommend bringing a towel and water because you will be working your butt off in the class! I've tried a couple of fitness classes and this by far is one of my favorites (one because of the service and the actual session, and two I really love supporting local businesses). Also, I went to the 1 PM session, and there was a low amount of people who signed up, so it was very personal and it felt like a family working together for a common goal to get fit. I have been looking for a gym with classes where I feel it works. I am not good doing exercise by myself, and I tend to get bored soon. The Fit Room is a great option for many readers. 1. You have always good and effective classes where you burn calories and also strengthen your muscles 2. You don't need to be stress to get on time. Because classes are circuits (80% of the time) you can get there every 15 min and you will get the full experience. 3. The owner and personal in general are amazing. They remember my name, make my life easy in a way that even I feel I wasn't on time or I can't do a workout they find a solution. Started going to this place about a week and a half ago. At this point, I've taken about six classes (first one was free and the rest have been through class pass) and I am OBSESSED. Every class is different so you're never bored and it's always challenging. You won't find snobby attitudes here! Kaisa and the other trainers are so nice-- they made sure to introduce themselves to me on my first days taking their classes because they knew I was new. Additionally, they're always checking on everyone making sure that you're doing the exercises properly and offering modifications if you have any injuries or anything. I've have been to a lot of gyms and fitness classes and they always get boring! My boss actually goes here and convinced me to try it and now I'm obsessed! I played college basketball so I didn't think it would get me into shape but they have classes of all skill levels and difficulty! All of the instructors are amazing but my favorite is Kaisa! I just started ClassPass to change up my routine and I have to say Fit Shop is so far number one on the must try list. Saturday morning 9:45 Tune Up class was full of energy. Immediately the instructor noticed me as a first timer and introduced herself. The workout was challenging and well rounded. If needed quick adaptations were made with the help of the instructor. The class is great for someone that is in amazing shape or just beginning. I would say I am above average when it comes to fitness and I still got my booty handed to me. I checked out Fit Shop this past Sunday. I work out on a regular basis and like to be challenged. I loved the class. You move from one station to another so the time flies by. I especially liked the kick boxing session at the end of the class. The gym has a lot of light and everything was impeccably clean. Definitely a plus. Our instructor Angie was great. Holy crap! What a great workout! I tried The Fit Shop through class pass and have been hooked ever since. So far, I've only done The Burnout workout. It's challenging but really really fun. The class is a mix of kickboxing and high intensity training. I've had a few different instructors and they all have really great energy and are very motivating. They always play really fun music, too. The gym itself is a warehouse but it's nice and spacious. From the moment you walk in you are greeted with such excitement by the best manager Nicole. The kickboxing is hard core and total body work out with Kaisa and Angie your in good hands! Adriane does the Tune Up and you have lower body and upper body and than Saturday's are her favorite class for total body work outs. I love Fit Shop! I discovered it through Classpass and ended up leaving Classpass and joining Fit Shop. It's such a great gym - every workout is different and the classes go by quick because you're working hard every minute and they have you switch up what you're doing frequently. The classes are organized really well and the trainers are really welcoming and get to know you by name. The workouts incorporate HIIT, boxing/kickboxing, cardio, strength training, and they utilize a wide range of different equipment. This gym really has it all and I always leave drenched in sweat. I took my first free class and LOVED it!! I don't live in NMB but drove over 30 mins at 6:30 AM just to go since it wasn't that far from my job. I thought the membership price was at little steep for an unlimited month and was a bit hesitant. I then found a Groupon for $60 for 10 classes and thought this is perfect if I can make it to these 10 classes fully committed I will sign up as a full member. I show up this morning with my co-worker who was on the same page as me to only be turned away at 7AM. We were told that since we took the FREE class we are active members.. and the groupon is not for active members... why would taking a free class make me a member? I was very taken back by the owners tone and lack of effort to help resolve this issue. She proceeded to inform me that they have this issues a lot?? Red flag - why don't you fix it or make it very clear that if you take a free class you are considered an active member. I was very turned off that the owner of this establishment would just allow 2 potential clients to walk out. She essentially already had our money!!! It was really disappointing especially since my job is starting a health and fitness program and was looking to work out a corporate membership for over 35+ employees... I have never felt so belittled or unworthy of a workout class. ALSO we clearly needed to shower before work but were told that they do not allow strangers off the street to shower in their gym...but didn't you just label me as an active member? Very very poor customer service. read more
