This store was advertising 10-14 days dispatch and delivery times for Body Solid rubber grip olympic plates I am interested in. I placed the order with them on January 4, 2021 and patiently waited for over a month, before asking about my order status for the first time. John Brunner, who manages the store and handles the phone/email was audibly displeased for even being contacted, when I called in after waiting for over a month, after he did not respond to my email inquiry about order status for a week. He suggested I keep checking his online blog for product updates, instead of contacting him. Long story short, I kept waiting for my order to be shipped month after month (it is also worth mentioning The Fitness Store does charge you the full order amount right away, after you place an order, despite product availability not being in sight), checking his blog religiously on regular basis, like it's a bible, as if I had nothing better to do. I also would email the store, no more frequently than once a month, to ask specific product availability and order related questions, which weren't covered in their blog. At some point in late March, after having already waited for 3 months for an order, which was supposed to be dispatched in 10-14 days from January 4, 2021 and for which I was already charged for since January, John replied saying, they've received a word from Body Solid the store is getting stock of the plates I ordered in June. He offered to refund me if I didn't want to wait, for a third time, after I've already told him twice on previous occasions I do NOT wish to cancel the order. While I was terribly disappointed having to wait yet another 3 months in a time of COVID, when the only place to work out is at home, after having already waited 3 months for a product, which was supposed to be dispatched in 10-14 days. I re-iterated to John I did NOT wish to cancel, and explained to him, for the 3rd time, I would lose my place in line and if I had to order these plates at another store they would put me at the end of their queue to drop-ship from Body Solid, since no stores have stock. I told him that would be very harmful to me, as I need the plates to exercise and the only thing such cancellation would do is double my wait time for the product, comparing to other people. Finally, June came along, and I was expecting to receive order shipment notification any minute. First week of June has gone by, then 10 days passed- nothing was happening. Completely frustrated, I contacted The Fitness Store again (after not reaching out to them for at least 2 months prior), asked about the product status, and suggested they reach out to Body Solid to let them know some of the store's customers have been waited for OVER HALF A YEAR for their Body Solid order fulfillment. John Brunner didn't even bother replying - he went ahead and cancelled my order... After falsely advertising 10-14 days dispatch since beginning of January, after charging full order amount right away with no product in sight, he made me wait for over 6 months, ignored and did not respond to most of my email inquiries, was rude on more than 1 occasion when he did reply, he screwed me over and cancelled the order completely out of spite, after I previously declined his suggestion to cancel 3 times in the past... He left me with no options to get this product, after more than 6 months wait... This was by far and away, the absolute worst shopping experience of my life read more
