Wonderful experience !!! Highly recommend. This was such a fun place to spend time and I walked away with a bunch of stuff. One woman there (seemed like the owner) was so sweet and personable, and helped me find some items to try on and that I was looking for. She told me this is a multi generational woman owned store and it shows. There is some amazing thrift and vintage in these racks at all different price ranges (a bunch more accessible stuff and then some higher priced vintage dresses and pieces). If you enjoy the hunt this is a great spot for it! I walked away with an incredible pair of leather pants, a cashmere zip up hoodie, a macrame vintage bag and two mid century modern gorgeous coupe type glasses for like $80! Any one of these individual trendy/timeless items could've been in a high end shop for $80. I like this spot a lot and glad that it has survived so many years in Tallahassee. The staff is very kind and one woman went the extra mile to help point out some blazers that I was looking for. Unfortunately there was nothing that fit the style I was attempting to achieve. Because these items are vintage and I believe many are priced by individual sellers you will have a myriad prices, but I saw several people that had picked up items. This "thrift" store is near campus and is walkable and has a ton of stuff however. The prices are not thrifty at all. We are talking $45+ dollars for a tshirt. Way too expensive and non of it is cute. Like I said lots of selections but at the end of the day I rather spend $7 at Ross than at this thrift store that just threw the word vintage on it and made the prices ridiculous. The price gives American inflation but the clothes give made in china. Shein quality products for the price of an arm and a leg. This is my go-to especially on rainy days. You could spend hours sifting through all of the things they have. I found a $5 semi formal cocktail dress in a size 0 which never happens!! I've also gotten some furniture but I wish they wouldn't paint all of the furniture those tacky pastel colors. Those colors work for some things but when it comes to quality and name brand solid wood furniture I'd rather get the natural color. I spent maybe $100 on a name brand table and spent another $60 for paint remover. I didn't even bother getting the paint off of the legs because I had already been to the store twice for paint remover. I legit walked away from a chest of drawers because it was painted weird. The sprawling space definitely holds the largest selection of prized junk in all of Tallahassee. As a few of you may have picked up on, I am a vinyl-obsessed mad men of sorts. Searching though stacks of records is how I enjoy spending my free time. The Other Side has thousands, more like tens of thousands of used wax taking up the latter area of their store. In the past, I've scored Clapton, Fleetwood Mac and a few obscurities that smack a smile on this guy. Prepared to spend HOURS digging. And you think I'm joking. But if you're looking for a record hot off the press, you're out of luck. Although the selection is deep, some of the vinyl are in bad shape. The Other Side prides itself on being the thrift store where anyone can stroll in and find something neat. Threads, vinyl, trinkets, and thrift store staples are scattered like buried treasure throughout the warehouse. Located at the forefront of Railroad Square, you'll make it a point to spend a solid chunk of your weekend here. A true antique treat for us locals. read more

They have a great finds but in the summer, it is unbearable to be in this store. They do not have AC which is insane for a store in Florida. Wish they would invest in AC. I'm sure they would get more sales because people leave due to the uncomfortable temperature in the store. read more

This was my first time coming in here I had just left one thrift shop and I was right down the road from this one so I decide to give it a try. I was amazed by the gyms that they had in their store everything looks so antique and so beautiful and Will kept it made me want to purchase everything. The staff was very helpful and friendly I would not mind coming back with my mom and some family because I know they love thrift stores and I know they would fall in love with this one they have everything and even stuff you're not even looking for that's the beauty about thrifty. When I go into thrift stores me touching stuff is a way of me connecting to that item but this place was so amazing that I didn't want to touch anything because like I said before everything was so well-kept and so antique that I was afraid that I was going to break something or leave my greasy print behind and I did not want to mess anything up. It's not super cheap, but it is affordable and you will find unique treasures here. One of my fav places to shop in Railroad Square's Art District even before the hotels and new shops came in. It's here, it's real..its the Room of Requirement from Harry Potter! Seriously though, this is a very fun space crammed full (yet tastefully arranged) to spend hours here. You can find a little of something for everyone here, for example there's a lot of clothes..things like furs, boots, and cut off jean shorts. So, imagine the possibilities there! Besides that there's a good handful (more like two or three handfuls) of furniture pieces like school desks and several dining room tables. Sooooo many records, I think the spectrum ranges are Jane Fonda's Workout Record to some Fonz to the Beatles. That should give you a good understanding of the variety and sheer volume available. over priced, especially for stained shirts. not only that i was walking around with a shirt and decided to put it back on a rack. i walked around a little while longer, (everything is unorganized). as i was leaving (i am carrying a small purse, that holds my phone and wallet) and the manager accused me of stealing a shirt. i opened my purse and said "it's on the rack" and he proceeded to have me wait until he could find it. very unprofessional, even if i were to steal why would i steal a shirt they got for free with stains on it? read more

This is a great family owned business located in the famous Railroad Square Art District. So shopping here is very convenient for most of the college students and a great way to spend your Saturday. The owner also supports the arts and DIY craftspeople in the area. Some of the items in the shop are handmade, if not that hand selected vintage and one-of-a-kind items. The staff is always friendly and personable, willing to take the time to say hello and help you with questions. The store is quite large with many different rooms, like; apparel, house wares, accessories, and even furniture. The prices are right and you can really find some great items. They accept credit cards as well. If you see something you want, make sure to buy it right away because it may not be there the following day. read more

I can spend a whole day at The Other Side Vintage rummaging through all of their goodies. They have everything from clothes to furniture and housewares to vinyl and typewriters. To start with clothes, they have a ton of vintage clothes. There are always many dresses, jackets, and shirts that I have bought to wear on a daily basis, as well as really cool stuff to design a Halloween costume. On my last visit, I kept thinking of how great everything would be for a costume, so I will definitely be returning before the holiday to design something awesome. They have an extensive collection of vinyl. You will spend a vast amount of time looking through the boxes since there really is thousands, it is outstanding. I have found some pretty wonderful stuff here, and am always so excited to get home and listen to my new tunes. Make sure to check the condition before you buy, as I have bought a few with scratches. Whether is be some unique home decor or that stunning fur coat, anything you find here will be very unique. You will be the only one to have it, and people will compliment you on how cool you are for having such a rare piece. While you can walk through the store pretty fast, I have definitely spent hours here looking through everything. Also they had an insane selection of vinyl, sewing patterns and board games. So many random board games. Honestly, Other Side is the ultimate place to find a gift for that person you can't buy for. This is really just an antique mall, but somehow it feels different; more fun, less structured, sort of Bohemian. In short, it's a great place to spend a weekend hour or two browsing all sorts of vintage wares. The Other Side has a large collection of vintage furniture, clothing, records, and many random household items. This would be a great place to go when decorating a room in a vintage motif or especially if you are looking for old tennis rackets, posters, or Western stuff to hang on the wall. Again, the collection of vinyl records and eight-tracks is the most extensive seen in Tallahassee. The only other I know of that comes close is the Goodwill Boutique on NE Capital Circle, and it pales in comparison. Everything in the store seems to be reasonably priced. Perhaps that what makes it feel different from a normal antique mall. The prices are affordable and more on par with a thrift store than an antique mall. I've yet to explore this area in much detail, but The Other Side is located in an area called "Railroad Square" which has a cool, hipster vibe and hosts weekend activities. I have a feeling more reviews of other businesses in the area will be forthcoming. read more

Railroad Square is a really fun place to wander around in anyways, but The Other Side is hands down my favorite place in there. The store is HUGE, and full of amazing finds just waiting for someone to discover them. I have gotten many presents there for my friends and family, and I found a vintage Dooney and Bourke wallet there for $7! Jackpot! My sister just recently got a gorgeous pair of cowboy boots there, and I've also gotten several decorations for my house.
