We called to order a bouquet of flowers for my mother-in-law, for her birthday. They were told our budget was $80, same as last year. What she received for $80, last year, was really nice. They said they had the perfect thing and that they could offer us a 25% discount to bring the cost down to our budget amount, making our total $70. She received a potted hydrangea that looks like it came from the grocery store, with a bow stuck on it. These cost $12-$13 in the store! We will not be using this business again and feel grossly taken advantage of. read more

Although only half the store was open due to some remodeling, I stopped in to check out the home decor part of the business, not the florist shop. And though there was a small amount of women's clothing available, it will move to the remodeled section, along with the tuxedo shop, once completed. The florist shop is located toward the rear of the space. The home decor occupies the front of the shop and had some really nice items. This is the 2nd bouquet I've received in 5 weeks from this florist and both have looked bad by day 2 and 3. This shop recently changed hands 3 yrs ago from locally owned for 45 yrs to an Indianapolis owner. I used the shop 43 yrs ago for a wedding and for the next 40+ yrs with full satisfaction. I think I'm done with the new owner. There's always an excuse for late deliveries and outrageous delivery fees to local funeral homes when they're already delivering there for others. They're making a haul there which is very disappointing the past couple years. I call that sticking it to the customers! read more

I think this is the only Flower Shop in town and it is a very nice one. Everyone uses it. They have lovely displays. Next door, with an archway between, is the Tuxedo Shoppe, owned by the same person. It's nice they have both services in one location. They also have statues and figurines and nice cards. Worst. I was in a wedding in October and the flowers were awful. They did not match the direction given at all and the attitude about how to handle the situation was atrocious. The woman at the shop was incredibly rude when I went to in to try to find replacement blooms for the bouquets and altar pieces- which were tropical funeral sprays, and she tried to advise me that dahlias were not in season and hadn't been for months. This review may sound harsh but for what the bride paid I cannot believe what was delivered or the treatment. I wound up at Marsh buying every bouquet of mums and alstroemeria to backfill the carnations (which were placed with orchids for $26 a stem and near dead hydrangeas). It was almost as if they took what random stuff they had and mixed it with the most expensive blooms humanly possible and then were complete jerks when we asked that they make improvements. Which- day of on a Saturday in October, I understand is difficult. But it's the attitude was really uncalled for and a disappointment in addition to the terrible design. read more

I really hate to speak negatively about a local business, but will NEVER use this business again. My son has his first homecoming dance tonight and ordered a corsage for his date THREE WEEKS AGO and had a wonderful consultation with a woman that helped him pick out the types of flowers/color of ribbon and he paid the $20 cost himself. Just picked it up and it is three tiny mini roses all crammed together with a ribbon so small you can't even see it. i even showed the receipt and questioned if this was correct (because it appears that we received a boutonniere) and even told the lady I thought it was quite skimpy for $20. Her reply was "They like them small." Also just spoke to a good friend that picked up a similar "corsage" using only TWO tiny flowers and was charged $26! Will NOT be using this business again. I feel they are taking advantage of the fact that teenage boys wouldn't have any idea what they're spending their money on and that is WRONG. ***Even worse...all three of the flowers completely fell OUT of the corsage while at the dance. My son had to keep what he could find of them in his pocket for her. read more

The Flower Cart is amazing! A friend's mother had passed away and on the funeral home's website there was a link to send flowers (it had the funeral home's address). I thought it would be an easy way to get flowers and no mistakes. The service was 7 pm however, people were arriving at 5 pm up to 7 pm. I received an email from the floral show saying the order could not be delivered (this was at 5:03 pm) and they were asking for an alternate date. I could not believe it, they waited until AFTER the service had started to notify me? I looked up local florists, saw the Flower Cart of Pendleton and thankfully they saved me. I am overjoyed with their friendly service, understanding, quick response, and the ability to deliver something perfect for the occasion. Literally saved the day! The Flower cart has never failed to impress the many folks I have send flowers to! The flowers are truly gorgeous and arranged beautifully. The folks who work there are the very best too!! These guys always are happy to go above and beyond. They always have suggestions for arrangements AND messages for the card. That's the hard part for me. I sent flowers to my sister last week and it literally took them less than an hour to deliver them. Not that impressive if she lives 2 blocks from the store, but it's a good 20 minute drive to her house! Now THAT'S impressive! I feel like I always get special treatment when I call the Flower Cart. I needed to send some flowers to honor my sweet sis-in-law's brother who just passed. I wanted to send some type of plant to be enjoyed past this sorrowful time. I'm not sure of the gentleman's man who helped me but he did GREAT! He suggested a hardy mum. We settled on a yellow mum. It was definitely priced within reason.
