Recently Vape City has made changes to their loyalty program. After being reassured from staff that the points would be transferred over and 4 visits into the shop over the last 3 months leaving my information each time to inquire about it, today I was finally able to get the staff to try to speak to whoever is over them at a corporate level and was told to shove it about my original point balance. The in store staff is great and this review is not meant towards them, their customer service is a 5/5, however the lack of follow up and general lack of care towards customer service on a corporate level is atrocious. I highly recommend shopping elsewhere.

It was my first time at ACL and well I wanted to be cool. I had heard about these e-cigs/vapors. It reminded me very much of a hookah, but portable. I love all the different flavors so I was very intrigued. My hotel was just down the street from this particular shop and they were going to have their soft opening Saturday morning. I figured I'd check it out and see what they had to offer. If I saw something I liked I'd have myself some fun at ACL!!! I stepped in a little before they were officially ready to open, but the owners/employees were nice enough to let me in and preview the joint. I ended up trying out a wide variety of flavors at their tasting station. They have tips so you can take it off and try as many flavors as you like before purchasing. I fell in love with the Space Jam - Astro. So I decided to go ahead and purchase one of their basic intro packages. They were having all kinds of specials the first day so I ended up getting another flavor too. The build out is very sleek. I could see myself just chilling in the back and studying while puffing on some Vapor.

Sadly, under constant management changes, this place has completely lost its identity and its respect for loyal customers. **The Good Old Days:** Years ago, the original team was incredible. I remember the guy with the gauges in his ears who knew my face and my roommate's face the second we walked in. It felt like a community, and they actually knew their products. My roommate and I on any given day would dump sometimes hundreds of dollars into the store. **The Decline:** Then came the pivot to CBD and Kratom, the gutting of the vape juice selection, and the arrival of completely clueless staff. A while back, I went in with a technical question about my mod. The new staff was so untrained they literally told me to go to *Vape City on Guad* because they couldn't help me. Imagine a business sending its own customers to the competition! **The Breaking Point:** To top it off, they recently upgraded their account system and completely wiped out the old database. That means years of accumulated loyalty points? Gone. But yesterday was the final straw. I had a chaotic 48 hours and ended up needing to use my legally valid temporary paper ID (the official printout you use with your expired license while waiting for the new one in the mail... if cops accept it as valid why can't the vape store?!?). The new clerk refused to sell to me because she "didn't recognize me" and couldn't find my phone number in their wiped system. Here is the kicker: **The police accepted my ID as 100% valid two nights ago, but this vape shop wouldn't.** I explained the law to her, but she refused to budge or show any critical thinking. Has no one working here ever renewed a Texas license online before? Unless the ownership sees this, reaches out with an apology, and promises to actually train their staff to be less ill-witted, I will never spend another dime here.
