The main room is more of a carefully curated shop, while the other is a small art gallery. Very interesting place of which I wandered for a fair amount of time. She uses mainly Acrylic Paint and a knife to paint and has a gift for perspective, color, and balance. I was especially impressed by her subtle use of blue in a small painting of birches, which really pops out at you almost like 3D. I know too how difficult painting water can be and she tackled that nicely in a recent boat painting. Again I was both surprised and pleased by her use of color here. Because I work with mixed media, I haven't found anyone else who can accurately capture my work- it has so many different areas of shiny/reflective graphite, magazine papers, and gold leaf, combined with deeply flat charcoal etc. It involves a high level of expertise and she always finds a way to use lights and technology to give me an excellent image. She's even been able to add in design elements after the fact. She's also quite flexible and routinely makes herself available to work with my crazy schedule and multiple changes. And, she's quick! I'm really lucky to have found her.
