Sad times for us. ~ When a menu says tosti with cheese, ham, sun dried tomatoes and salad, we expect a tosti with the first three items on it and the salad on the side. We don't expect a ham and cheese tosti with a side "salad" of iceberg(!!!!) lettuce and sun dried tomatoes. So, for now, three stars but I'll be back for round two!

We went back today for an anniversary coffee and treat to celebrate and the service was abysmal. We called over the server and ordered coffee, tea and a treat. He was friendly at first. We ordered in Dutch and English. He understood and went quickly to take another order from another table and seemed to chat with them for a long time. Then he disappeared. Then came back and went speaking with every table. Other tables were getting their drinks although they had come after us. I just thought our order took longer. Besides, on their menu it says not to rush and they aren't pushy. We waited and looked at the book collection they had. After a long time, I decided to check one of the pictures I took of the menu to see what time I took it. 30 minutes had past since I took a picture. We sat and sat then finally said let's go home and make our own tea and coffee. We left and on our way out we let them know we weren't happy. The server said, "oops I forgot to put it in the computer." he was too busy walking around chatting to others to not have a clue we were sitting and waiting. The lunch menu was extremely standard - the usual run of Dutch sandwiches and salads. We had a nice bottle of Sauvignon Blanc although the waitress passed some serious judgement about our lunchtime drinking. The interior looked a bit shabby during the day but I can imagine at night with the lights low you wouldn't notice the chipped paint and dirty floors. Sad to say, at least during the day, this place is nothing special.
