Pizza Parlor: Garlic Knots with Fresh Marinara | Instagram: @telephonesmoothie

We had a great time doing the Pizza Parlor cooking class here. Everything we made was absolutely delicious. My favorite things were the garlic knots and caprese pizza. One thing I was surprised by compared to other cooking classes is that there was a lot of it where we just watched the chef cook something and then some parts where we did stuff as a group. I thought we would make it all ourselves, but I'm guessing they don't have time for that with the menu they picked. I also wish they had options that start earlier since it takes a while to cook everything. We ended pretty late and I'd prefer to have an option that starts at 4-5 and ends by 7.

Had a fabulous time here on NYE! Dont forget its byob, so bring your favorite bevy and an empty stomach. My husband loved this place because he isnt well versed in the kitchen. Everyone was spaced and masked. Temps were taken and gloves were worn with ready to eat food prep. Please try this place out!

I've tried a few cooking schools, but I always keep coming back to this one. I love the vibe, the energy and not to mention all the amazing food. We did the spring fling class. Lamb chops, risotto, asparagus and lemon pie. Everything was delish! It's so much fun, hands on learning with the chef. After each dish is made, you get to sit down and enjoy it while it's hot, then get back up to make the next course. They do classes year round so there is something for everyone's tastebuds. I have done abt 4 or 6 classes so far here and will keep doing more. Highly recommend it for a date night, girls night or if you just want to go solo and make new friends, it's something for everyone.

Today myself & my mother who attended as my plus one was Cooking up a French Brasserie with Chef Mara & we had an absolute blast! I took part in the latest cooking class by Chef Mara & loved the whole experience. So many people were able to get involved & it was so refreshing to cook in real time with everyone else. They allowed you to ask questions as we moved along which was a plus as well . Below you will find the theme of the class we took along with the meals we prepared . Date Night Menu : Mussels /in White Wine Salad w/ Fine Herbs & Poached Egg Steak Frites - with Cognac Cream Profiteroles - with Ice Cream and Ganache If you're looking for a way to learn some new cooking skills or to develop your cooking from the comfort of your own home , these classes would be lovely to try out . Head on over to find out more about joining in on her up & coming classes . Also it's byob (bring your own bottle).

I've always wanted to take a cooking class. This week my friend and I attended the "Rockin' Ramen" cooking class hosted by Chef Mara Norris. Everyone wore a mask and stayed at a safe distance. Temperatures were checked during each arrival. The class size was small - only 4 groups of two in the class. This was a very hands on cooking class - lots of hand washing. I would recommend taking classes with someone you feel safe around. Due to COVID-19 guest were asked to keep their masks on while in the kitchen area, and removed when eating in the dining area only. We learned the art of making fresh Homemade Ramen noodles, Traditional Gyoza, Sweet Soy Glazed Brussels Sprouts, and Green Tea Ice Cream! Each guest received the recipes from the Ramen Class.

Come out for the experience of cooking! From beginners to chefs themselves you'll learn in a perfect pace and enjoy your work! Chef Mara, Chef Aleks & Chef Michael are skilled but also able to transfer those to their students! I consider myself a decent cook but I never leave without having learned a new technique, meal idea, or knowledge. The menus are ever changing with wonderful themes! Perfect for date night, girls night out, Mother/child event, team building etx COVID protocols are also in place for safety!

Stuffed french toast w/strawberry compote presentation by Chef Maria

I had a Fabulous Mother's Day Brunch at The Foodie School!!! This was my first time taking a cooking class and I throughly enjoyed the entire experience. Chef Maria made it simple and easy to following the instructions and measure the ingredients. My Foodie mates were helpful and attentive. MENU: Mimosa Salad; Smoked Salmon Frittata with Savory Herb Scones; Mascarpone Stuffed French Toast with Strawberry Compote I'm definitely going back for another class this summer.

The Foodie School is perfect to give a gift to parents or friends, people that have everything, you know how you never know what to give them? It is also a great group activity, so for a girl's night out, bachelorette party or something of that nature. Even if you know how to cook and cooking classes aren't you thing, look at their lineup, there are some interesting days. The classes are the perfect amount of structure and free time. The best piece of advice is that it is BYOB so bring some beer or a bottle of wine. Hands on activities, everything is ready for cooking, so it is fast paced if your ADHD kicks in. Oh just me? It's located just over the line in Fort Mill super easy and quick drive. Sign up on their email list right now. I'll wait.

Our creations for the Homemade Sauce & Pasta night. Ricotta Gnocchi, Black Pepper Fettuccine, Nutmeg Cream Sauce, and Bolgonese Sauce
    Lauren K.

We attended the Homemade Pasta and Sauce class and absolutely loved it! We made Ricotta Gnocchi w/Nutmeg Cream Sauce, Black Pepper Fettuccine w/Bolgonese Sauce, Caesar Salad, and Canolis (my favorite). All things that I would never think of doing on my own. Chef Mara and Aleks were fantastic teachers! I actually felt like I learned a lot about cooking. The ratio of learning:cooking was perfect. We were hands-on for the fun parts but the more complicated parts were guided and demonstrated for us. The food was absolutely amazing. Only the freshest ingredients and the smells... They are BYOB so we got to enjoy our meal with my favorite bottle of vino. We got all the recipes after the class so you can make at home. The only thing I wish was different was that we didn't get to take home leftovers.

    Having fun!

My brother and I absolutely love to cook and we were looking forward to learning more about Indian cuisine. Santhoshi was so very kind and a wonderful teacher throughout the lesson. I really enjoyed the details she included about Indian culture and the history behind the recipes. Whether you're super handy in the kitchen or have never cooked before, the class will adjust to your needs. We received a copy of the recipes after so we could make again at home. I enjoyed being able to bring a bottle of wine if you want a drink during the cooking class. Everything was very clean and sanitary throughout the visit. I had a nontraditional vision -- different groups cooking a variety of dishes and coming together for a shared meal -- and even though this wasn't her usual format, she made it happen with so much grace, organization, and joy. We cooked everything from roti and butter chicken to samosas, kebabs, pad thai, and more -- all while learning not just about technique, but also about Indian culture and Santhoshi's personal story. She is warm, patient, incredibly organized, and just a phenomenal teacher. She also added thoughtful touches like candles, music, aprons, and a photo booth setup -- and accommodated a last-minute change without missing a beat. Our team left feeling connected, inspired, and completely full (in every way!). Highly recommend this for teams, friend groups, or anyone looking for something a little different and a lot meaningful. I'm already planning to return for a traditional class on my own.
