After 30 minutes of treating me, He talked about how the toe became possibly infected and all the medical science behind what causes all the problems with my toe, even recommending to get rid of any cheap leather shoes I have and spend money on good quality shoes that will allow my foot to breathe, thus preventing issues in the future again. In regards to pain medicine, I'm happy he said I didn't need any and I could take aspirin or ibuprofen if I really needed to....that's a good sign in my opinion of a good, caring doctor. He's got a lot of experience from what I can tell and is a swell guy. He too...will be my "Podiatrist of choice in the future." (quoting another Yelper).

She said that was fine. When I arrived, it was 2:56 (after parking and navigating to the 2nd floor). The receptionist asks if I am here for my 2:45pm appointment, I said yes. She looks at her watch, pointing out the time and lets me know that the doctor may not be able to see me. "It has barely been 10 minutes" I said. She tells me to hold on and she will speak with the doctor. The doctor is just steps away in another room, I can hear their conversation. The doctor says "Just put her in a room and I will look at it real quick" with an annoyed attitude. I politely left. I will not allow a doctor with that lack of care in her voice to perform any kind of care and treatment on me. The vibes of this place and that doctor were not good at all!

But she was incredibly unprofessional, would bad talk her staff in front of me, would blame them for her forgetting things and then the two big things were 1) she prescribed an ointment for me and when I told her at the next visit I wasn't using it she said "why would you have that medicine?" And 2) she was incredibly hostile toward me when I calmly asked her to clarify a bill that I received and she claimed I was trying to "get a free treatment" I had to calmly say to her "I don't know why you are getting so angry, I am just trying to understand my bill, which is my right" she the later apologized and then proceeded to throw her staff under the bus for misbilling me. Net/net I would not recommend her to anyone , which is a shame because she came highly recommended, but I think things have changed in the last few years.

I was really afraid Dr. Locke was going to try to convince me otherwise, but he was totally supportive of the surgery decision. The podiatrist barely even looked at me before saying "it's a sprain, you'll be fine by Monday." I angrily told him it was NOT a sprain, that I knew my body and something was wrong. That night had me back in ER for excruciating pain. Enter Dr. Friedberg the following week who, after some manipulation of my foot, and some questions concluded that I had a fascia tear that would probably take a few months to heal. Man was I glad I went to Dr. Friedberg! My foot did take a few months to heal, but he was nothing but kind, gentle, and professional through the entire process. He offered tips and tricks on how to regain strength and reduce pain, showed me my MRI images, and explained things in very simple and detailed ways.
