To make a long story short, the medications I was given haven't done a damn thing, and here I am now on my way to the ER for a proper diagnosis since these uneducated FOOLS at MD NOW don't have a single clue what they are doing. Absolute waste of $200, and pending a phone call back from them tomorrow they damn well oughta refund me in full for their incompetence, and the absolute hell I've had to endure in the process. Do NOT come here, you're better suited just going to the ER and dealing with REAL doctors. UPDATE: they misdiagnosed me entirely, and had no business giving me the medications that they gave me, including an antibiotic (my infection was never bacterial). The nurses and doctors at the hospital scratched their heads in confusion when I told them how I was treated, they also said "this isn't uncommon for MD NOW" which was rather maddening. Imagine having that sort of reputation from a hospital's POV! They also told me, and I quote "MD NOW basically just puts everybody on the same medications". How pathetic is that!!! The hospital ultimately gave me a steroid, and it began working on DAY 1!!! If you're reading this review, consider yourself warned. It's like choosing between a motel 6 and the breakers hotel. She made the entire check-in and scanning process smooth and stress-free, which meant so much to us as new parents. Our therapist, Ashley, was absolutely amazing. She was patient, knowledgeable, and so gentle with our baby. She explained everything clearly during the evaluation and truly put us at ease. While our son does have a bit of unevenness in the back of his head, Ashley did not recommend treatment -- and I appreciated her honesty more than anything. It was such a relief to hear, and it reassured me that they only recommend what's truly necessary. As a parent, knowing that I wouldn't be pushed into unnecessary treatment means the world. If Ashley had said we needed a helmet, I would have done it without hesitation -- so having such an honest, trustworthy assessment mattered even more. Knowing that my local doctor wouldn't have the vaccine, I contacted Passport Health by computer, filled out a lengthy and detailed health history and set up an appointment. When I arrived, I was warmly greeted but told I was considered immune compromised as I was over age 60 and hence shouldn't be given a live viral vaccine. However they did provide me with a health exception pass so that I would be allowed to disembark and provided me with several prescriptions for antibiotic just in case of other infection problems. They also gave me other good counseling advice about insect repellants and not venturing ashore at night. All of that wasn't cheap, nearly $200, but I think worth it. Since I had lived in Manaus for nearly a year in 1971, I knew the information they were giving me was correct.
