I visited this local frame shop hoping to create a meaningful shadow box for my 10-year-old daughter, who recently earned her black belt. I brought in a gold leaf certificate, a signed board she broke during testing, and her embroidered belt--items that clearly carry significant personal value. I was looking for guidance from someone presenting themselves as a framing expert. Unfortunately, the interaction fell well short of that expectation. From the outset, the level of engagement was minimal. A single sample was placed on the counter with the comment, "this is what you get," without any effort to explore design options or understand the significance of the project. When I asked for input on matting, the recommendation was simply "white," without any discussion of contrast or presentation. When I raised a reasonable concern about the certificate being washed out, the response was dismissive rather than collaborative. Basic elements of the project--such as layout of the belt--were initially described as not feasible, until I suggested alternatives myself. At that point, it was acknowledged as possible, which raised further concerns about the depth of expertise being applied. More concerning was the lack of attention to fundamental details. There was no discussion of glass options, pricing, or timeline during the initial consultation. When I returned shortly after to clarify these essential points and expressed my disappointment in the lack of guidance, the conversation was abruptly ended with, "we're done," and I was told to take the project elsewhere. For a business positioning itself as a professional framing service, this level of communication and customer interaction is difficult to reconcile. I ultimately took the project to Hobby Lobby, where the experience was markedly different--thoughtful recommendations were offered, options were clearly explained, and pricing and timeline were provided upfront. The owner can take the most ordinary picture and with the right materials. colors and frame make it outstanding. I have had many pictures framed here and am very pleased with what he can do. I will not be going back. I needed a canvas painting framed behind glass. His price was $20 less than Michaels and he promised it two weeks faster. He was 6 days late. Unfortunately there was a bubble in the canvas after he mounted it. I didn't notice this til I got home. The next day when I took it back to be fixed he said "Sorry, that's the best I can do." Now I have to take it to someone else and pay to correct his mistake. I will definitely not go back again. read more

So, this was a fun experience. I had read the reviews, and picked this business because the reviews were so good. I brought an irreplaceable painting that meant the world to me, and I wanted it done right. I guess it was the owner (Mark)? who waited on me. He was a man of few words, with what I would describe as a very different, but hilarious sense of humor. I LOVE the frame he helped me pick out. I found the frame shop after doing extensive research of local framers. We are collectors of an artist from San Diego and had recently purchased another original to add to our collection. When I first arrived Marc was in the back and seemed frazzled saying how he was so busy and was rushing me with my choice of frame, I've been there I get it but this is a $10,000 piece of art, I want it perfect. I left a little hesitant of what I would get out of his services but let me tell you what was I surprised when I came back the following week! Fantastic framing!! Great price!! And he had a totally different quirky personality. This place would be amazing if they would accept American Express, which is a huge negative for me. But I would still return for my expensive unframed pieces. read more

I stopped in here the other day to check out this frame shop and I was blown away by all the other stuff that he has in there. They have all sorts of different art objects and mirrors and really cool things. They do fantastic work on frames and they have an excellent eye for art.
