They where, understandably some of the best I've ever tasted thanks to coffin bay being so close by. ($24) For a main I ordered the tuna ($32). The flavors where ok and I would have been satisfied however the meal was stone cold. I was going to say something but after a quick ask around the table it seemed like a common problem so we just ate and got out of there. For the record there was a mix of dishes on our table ranging from pizza to steak but nothing out of the ordinary to justify cold meals. (I will also day the whole place was fairly busy) It's won a heap of local awards and the prices are very high,. It doesn't live up to its hype and I think someone else needs to open something really nice and give it a run for its money. ****FYI, I also heard the coffee was nice so we went back the next morning for some takeaways. We loved our diving experience with Adventure Bay Charters swimming and snorkeling with sea lions…read more Our family of five (2 adults and 3 kids) had the pleasure of joining the half-day sea lion snorkeling tour departing from Port Lincoln. We departed around 8am and returned by 1230pm, and enjoyed about an hour in the water (about a 90 minute beautiful boat ride out to the sea lion bay). We snorkeled in a very safe, private area off an island in about 6 feet of water and were joined by almost 30 playful sea lions and pups. They were engaging, funny, playful and so much fun to be in the water with! The crew were friendly, charming, engaging, interesting and very helpful. They took care of all the work, made sure we were well fed and were all around spectacular. An amazing day...and our kids loved it...one of the highlights of our trip to Australia! Adventure Bay Charters is a 5-Star provider and the Sea Lion Snorkeling Tour is a must do in Port Lincoln and truly a 5-star experience!

Ah, the Tumby Bay Hotel!…read more Icy cold beer, snapping fresh seafood, crisp salads, great service and, should you require a bed for the night, a range of ultra-reasonably priced bedrooms. People don't seem to stay in pubs any more. preferring the anodyne ambience of motels. Who knows why - the rooms at the Tumby pub are big, the beds soft and comfortable, and, ok, the bathrooms are down the hall. Wear a towel and take your door key. But the rooms open via french doors onto a wide balcony overlooking the sea - how good is that? There are a few chairs and tables around on the balcony, and it's just the spot to sit back with a coffee in the morning, or with a decent bottle of wine or a beer as the sun sets. Just say no to the tacky plastic wood and noisy toilets of 'motel world'. Vote with your feet and taste buds. If you're anywhere near the Tumby pub, definitely plan a stop. Fill up on fresh local fish and salad and book a room for the night. The best room is the big corner one nearest the beach.
