This is the first time I have stepped foot in this place, after living in the Plantation area for a few years now and I am so glad I did! The location was so easy to find from the street and they have a nice amount of parking so I didn't struggle to find a spot while I made my visit here. I got to try one of their "blind bags" for ten dollars through the bakery and the stuff in it was wonderful and still super fresh! I loved the rosemary sourdough rolls and the rosemary was heavenly! The location was nicely spaced out and everything is labeled and in big words above the sections in the store so it was very easy to navigate. I would have spent more time here walking around if I wasn't on a time crunch. The staff here was also super friendly and got me to where I needed to go to get my stuff very quickly! Prices are pretty reasonable for items and I will be coming back here again as soon as I need more groceries and fresh baked goods! read more

This was a really nice Fresh Market. It nice and clean and the shelves and display cases were nicely stocked. They always have such fresh produce here and great specials such as $5.00 12 inch pizzas on Tuesdays and $6.00 rotisserie chickens on Thursdays. I'm also a big fan of their Little Big Meal deal, a dinner for four for only $25! Their chicken salad is some of the best I've ever had and they always offer 4 free croissants with the purchase of a pound of the chicken salad. If you join the loyalty program you'll get great discounts throughout the year and a coupon for birthday cake on your birthday. UPDATED REVIEW: Took advantage of the Coffee Bar at the Fresh Market. Every few days a new flavor of coffee beans are grinded down and placed out for complementary tasting. The Brazilian coffee was smooth with no odd after taste. They also provide a decaf house blend. The self-serve barrel of fresh coffee beans of numerous flavors are available for coffee enthusiasts to purchase by weight. The Tomahawk and Ribeye steaks would look amazing on my grill but at a prime price. The Strawberry Chantilly Cake at $29.99 was a great value. Very surprised at Fresh Market. Some of their bakery items are ok, however, I am continually surprised at how bland and just plain blah so many of their food items taste. Prepared chicken, whether teriyaki or just grilled plain,etc are always tough and tasteless. I recently had potato salad there and it was called "loaded"..it literally had no taste. Just plain tasting potato pieces with no flavor whatsoever. I have tried numerous items from Fresh Market and find the same experience..just tasteless and bland. read more

I mostly go here for the bakery and the meat department. I have found that their cakes are excellent. They have been consistent over the years to the point that it's a birthday go to spot for cake. The chocolate ganache is my son's favorite. I'm sure that I've written a review several times over the years but maybe I never posted it. Fresh Market is worth it when you want some of the best quality food. Their flowers last super long and they have specials of roses often. The produce is very fresh with plenty of organic options to choose from. I always get their heirloom tomatoes when they have them. Most recently I picked up two strawberry pillows from the bakery and a bottle of wine for dessert. They put pastry cream inside of a croissant and layer it with sliced fresh strawberries and drizzle it with chocolate then top with powdered sugar. I had not visited this location before. It wasn't busy at all. Everything was immaculate, well surplussed, and the store associates were a notch above those who work in the most popular grocery store we all know and love here in Florida--you know the one--"where shopping is a pleasure." I bought a delicious rotisserie chicken, twice baked potatoes, and tiramisu. Plus some other goodies. I bought ritzy crackers for my hummus, found sangria with no alcohol, and found lavender & vanilla laundry detergent packs. We'll have to see how well they clean. I really liked their hot food section, deli, and their bakery. The prices are competitive with another large and popular "organic" store. It felt better at The Fresh Market though--can't really explain it but just a better vibe. The one thing that struck me was that the paper products section for TP, paper towels and napkins, was the tiniest I have ever encountered in any grocery store. I mean, it's as big as the section found in any gas station convenience store. I actually passed by it twice and ended up asking for assistance because it was tucked between other unrelated products. In this case, the truckers and the lack of workers are not to blame. It appears the store regularly carries a very limited selection of paper products. I had to stop at the pleasurable store just for TP and water. I wasn't happy but soon "sobered" up as I waited behind a red light and saw a homeless couple pushing a grocery cart with the only things they owned or could carry. :( All in all, I liked it there and I'm thankful! read more

I come to this Fresh Market from time to time. I like the spread out format of the store. You are not bumping into other customers like another Fresh Market in the area. I was really impressed with their dinner for 4. They had the items already put in a bag for the customers. How much easier can life get? Tivol in the produce department is so helpful and pleasant. I enjoyed chatting with him. I like browsing and picking out candies from the bins. They have such a great selection. You pay by the pound and I feel they are pretty reasonably priced. I have seen some old-time candies that I forgot about. It is fun to browse the store. I try to come here when I have extra time so I can really enjoy the experience. I love the music and their food is always fresh from this location. I have never had any serious issues with their food. It is usually pretty great.Their bakery items are scrumptious. Great place to restock on nuts! My wife and daughter are both trying to improve their health, so they've been coming together finding different mixes to try together. My daughter loves getting the Ferris Nut tubs and the Lush Gourment ones from the bulk section since the store stopped selling Lush Gourment in a branded packaging. Visited this Fresh Market in Plantation over the weekend and I was really impressed. I live in Miami and the Fresh Markets in Miami are not as aesthetically beautiful and spacious in size. I first got into Fresh Market when one opened in my hometown in NY, I used to come for the coffee beans. I've since been in this one a few times, it's usually pretty quiet and easy to get through the aisles. Fresh Market is a nice contrast to other markets in this genre like Trader Joe's which is usually a mad house. Parking here is also ample! As you walk in the store, there is an impressive produce section. I love how they sell items like a stir fry kit with fresh veggies, that is great for those of us that are lazy in the kitchen, but still want to eat healthy. One of my favorite parts of the store is the bakery. If you need a nice dessert to bring to someone's house, this is your place, they have many lovely looking cakes and tarts. I personally love the breakfast items like their chocolate croissants, so delicious. They also have a nice array of pre-made and fresh meals available. I spotted salads, wraps and soooo much more! They did not have the particular item I wanted, but I ended up in the beer aisle. They have a nice selection of local brews like Funky Buddha, as well as other ones from Florida. I like that they had a make your own 6 pack for $9.99. I was able to pick up a couple of new beers like a seasonal Pumpkin Blue Moon and others. The biggest drawback to this chain is it can be pricey! Some of the items were similarly priced to what you might pay at Target, but others were quite a bit more. read more

11/1/2017 - My favorite shopping trip is a trip to the grocery store. But, can you believe I've never been to a Fresh Market before? I especially love flowers and upon entering this store I was encountered by an array of beautiful bouquets of roses, bundles of spring and fall color flowers and of my favorite....pale blue hydrangeas! The store is very neat, nothing out of place. The dim lighting gives you a cool relax feel as you shop through the store. The prices were a bit pricey than I expected. I was not impressed by the pre-cooked section or the seafood/ meats area. I didn't see anything I was interested in, nothing looked particularly appetizing. Now, the baked good section looked incredible, even though I'm not a pastry/cakes person, if I was, I would be in sweets heaven. My favorite part of the store was the wine section and the area where you can bag your own candies. But I can always get that at Lucky's and for a better price. I'll pass. read more

This was my first time ever visiting a Fresh Market. I received a gift card last year and never had the opportunity to use it. I had my haircut in the same plaza so I decided to check it out. I assumed it was like a Whole Foods, where the food is mostly organic. I honestly have never heard anything about this place from friends so I really did not know what to expect. I walked in and probably looked like such a tourist in awe and overwhelmed. The produce and fruit are immediately after you walk in the entrance. Since this was my first time here, I felt lost because I did not know where everything was located. I did not need anything particular; I was just browsing. Right across from the produce was the deli counter. There were several customers waiting so I skipped that. Then there was an employee providing samples of burgers. That was good. I made my way through the aisles and departments. Everything was fresh and good looking. I will say I was impressed with the quality of everything. The prices and variety is not impressive at all. I didn't realize until I arrived home that I paid $7 for a loaf of brioche bread! That is stupid! You can get the same thing at Walmart or Trader Joe's for under $5. Almost every time I go shopping, I buy cheese. Their variety was minimal so hence, I did not get cheese. Oh yeah, and that was overpriced as well. If I receive another gift card, I will visit again. I used to love going here. USED to. Several months ago, their quality began to go down the toilet. How so, you ask? Well let me list SEVERAL examples over the last 12 months for you (how I wish I would've saved the pics to show but I deleted them after getting my money back): 1. Tried their meal deals, where the charge $20 for the ingredients to make a weekly changing meal for 4. The kabobs were the last one I tried. Why? I got home and the cut up veggies were MOLDED on the bottom side, so of course I couldn't see it when I was picking my package. So gross. How long did it sit??!?!? Do they not know what temperature control is!??! Brought it right back and was given a refund. No "hey we are really sorry we ruined your dinner" or anything. Just here's your $20. 2. Bought some chicken breast when they have it on sale for $2.99 on Tuesdays. Important to note here that the butcher guy has to get it for you from the glass case displaying all their "fine" products. Got home. Guess what?? IT WAS ROTTEN! Like gag a maggot rotten. How the hell the butcher didn't notice it when he was picking it out to package is beyond me. More likely scenario: he just did not give a fuq. Again, returned it. The poor young cashier boy gagged when he opened the package. Again, no apologies from the manager, just here's your money. 3. Ran by to grab some fresh produce. Grabbed an apple, my finger went thru a giant mold spot on it. Picked through the rest of the honeycrisp apples and all were banged up like someone used them for softball practice. Decided to go look at some berries. Wouldn't you know they had mold on them too. So off putting. How the hell can the produce stocker not see this crap??? For what they charge, I EXPECT FRESH products from a place called Fresh Market. I take my money now to Aldi right across the street from Fresh Market. If I happen to go here, it is usually only to get specific things that I do not want to travel all the way to Whole Foods for. read more

Nice place to shop and never crowded in the morning. Partially because everything is so expensive in my opinion and they have to compete with a lot of grocery stores in the neighborhood for patrons. The seafood dept is pretty good and they have a large produce dept with both organic and farmed items. The favorite part for me is the bulk section for snacks. We usually frequent Fresh Market on Tuesday's for the $2.99 chicken breast deal like most people. We stopped in with the kiddos recently and a gentleman named Craig assisted us and went above and beyond. The kids were curious about a wing style none of us had never seen or had before as the wings they normally get weren't available. Without hesitation, he asked if they wanted to try one, and the kids got so excited. We were perplexed about what we were going to order, and he really helped us by telling us about a few combo deals they had. For $10.99, you could get 12 wings and one of their homemade pizzas. This was a great deal since 12 wings come to about $9.99 a lb. on it's own. He also helped give us guidance on the chicken rotisserie we were buying. By purchasing the family deal he told us about, not only did we get the rotisserie ($8.99), but we were able to choose two large sides and get six corn bread muffins ($5.99). The side prices vary with weight, but if you've ever shopped here you know getting all of that for $12.99 was a steal. Craig was so helpful and kind. He made our Fresh Market experience the best we have ever had at any location. He was patient and kind, and we hope to see him again in our future visits. The kids talked about how nice he was for the rest of the day. Our family highly recommends the chocolate chip banana bread as well as the zucchini bread. SO DELICIOUS! read more

BUT, I can count on two hands the amount of times I get home and notice an item I purchased is well past it's expiration or best by date. This is a huge NO for me. Crazy. How can you be called The FRESH Market and allow this to happen. It's sad because the employees are always super nice. It's always clean inside and smells great. I like the Fresh Market even though some items are a bit pricey. They have a more exotic collection of items than Whole Foods in my opinion. I really enjoy their bakery items, I'm not too wild about the bread options here. Prefer Broward locations over the Dade stores. They seem to have friendlier, more knowledgable staff in Broward. Love the Thai curry cashews and have only been able to find them in this chain. Their product looks top notch. Chocolate selection is also very good. Yay Bulk bins & olive bar. Looked nice. Produce dept.: I didn't see too many options for organic. If that's not your thing you should have a huge selection to choose from. It was definitely well stocked & presented beautifully! Organic or not I get so excited walking around the produce section. It's so colorful and happy! What's not to love about rainbow foods that are so healthy!! Prepared foods: again, for non vegans great selection! They just need to recognize not everyone is a dairy meat loving fan! Otherwise, it's all beautifully showcased & ready to be served up with a smile! Dry aisles you have to shop for sales as its pricey like "whole foods".... They offer a HUGE assortment of uncommon items. Nothing that reached out to me personally at this time, but check them out for sure! Love this market! Dangerously addicting, I'd say it's an elevated Trader Joe's, with literally the highest quality of ingredients and food. Yes it is slightly overpriced but the quality in the selections they offer aren't comparable to other stores. I've discovered so many different spices, plant milks, baked goods and wines from this store. This Fresh Market is a pleasure to shop at .They always have a sale going on and the staff is friendly . Manny who is one of the Managers is a hard working and friendly to his customers . They have one of the top Sushi Chefs in town . The produce is fresh and well presented. The meat and fish department is excellent as is the deli area. The City of Plantation needs to place a red light at the entrance on Sunrise Blvd. as it is a scary left turn leaving . This review is only about the my cutover service experience. The food is great, the ambiance is very nice and luxurious. Jaqueline checked me out- I felt like I was an inconvenience to her. Apparently I was such a nuisance she didn't even bother to say hello or give me some kind of greeting. She was very rude and if I wanted to be treated like a nuisance than I would have gone to Walmart. She also failed to ID me when I was buying my wine.
