Expect shenanigans when coming to any Walmart, doesn't matter where you are which state you're in which fancy town you live in. This Walmart is conveniently located in the Sawgrass neighborhood of Sunrise, Florida.. just a few minutes away from where I live so coming here sometimes can be convenient. It's dreadful coming here because it's always chaotic. When you walk into the store you'll notice they have snacks and produce right at the front. The front entrance is where the carts are usually parked, but on this particular day, there were only two carts in the cart parking area, both of which had wobbly wheels. When parking in their very large parking lot, I did notice that carts were spread out throughout all the rows of the parking lot. The store is always packed. There's always a lot of customers and there's always many store associates walking around however, they don't always seem happy. The one thing that I must say is it doesn't matter which associate you run into they're always restocking a shelf, helping a customer or moving things around to make space for new items. If you're here to shop, get what you need and get.. You'll always find it and for a great prices that you can't get at ordinary grocery store. Right now they do have a lot of holiday items, decor, food, clothing, and many other things. I feel like Walmart is a staple store in many neighborhoods throughout the US. Ordered food for delivery, when it came I had ordered 29 items and 21 items were not delivered. The Omg really? How does this happen? Cannot get a manager on the phone cannot have a manager call me back I was told they are busy . And what about me? Never will I get a delivery again . So upset so frustrating! read more

Avoid buying food from Walmart, it's bad! The store has gone downhill as most people know, and the customer service is lousy now, completely sucks, it's useless and almost nonexistent, but I never knew they scammed people on the food until I started looking into it. Rather than name a bunch of examples here is one so you understand why I am posting this, i purchased 4 of the same items, soup, just a month ago. Last night I opened and saw expired 1 year ago in 2025. It wouldn't be so bad if it was December, but it was February! That's a year old already! And the crooks did nothing about it; even know I have receipt showing purchase and picture of box and item. I don't even care about the money, it was 4 boxes of Lipton soup, it's the principle had i eaten and got sick or what if i was on a budget and NEEDED this item. That place is just terrible now. Poor service, terrible food department, overall, just going downhill. I would avoid buying food because you can't always return food. In my case it's not worth the gas to drive back to the store for 10 bucks. But the fact they do NOTHING when you inform them of a health situation by selling food that is expired is really what is concerning. I'm not thrilled with how they have down sized the cashiers and up-sized the darn self check out, but they still have someone checking receipts at the door. How are they going to basically force me to scan and bag my own items, but have someone at the doors checking that the items in my cart match the receipt. I hate this one!!! Yes I used the word hate It's dirty when you first walk in all the isles no matter what time of day or what day you go on. Produce is 80% old or rotten or just about to be spoiled. The only thing I can say is that this location should be a lot better especially for their produce if they claim to be a grocery store. Paper goods, plates, and any dry goods are ok here. If you pick pantry items please double check expiration dates. This location should be better and clearly need to be better. read more

It seems most of the employees don't speak English so when you ask for help finding some thing you'll get six different answers and then finally someone will say oh no we don't have that and send you on your way. The cashiers are so slow on top of not being able to find what you're looking for that, I don't go to the store unless I absolutely have to and usually just the garden center. Surprised by the low rating at this location as you are coming to Walmart and should know what to expect. For me I needed a Super center compared to their Neighborhood Market by me. The difference hard to find items. Hubby likes Lever 2000 soap our store doesn't have and I really don't want to order online so I came here instead to pickup in person. Also they have a nice magazine selection. Again as you can see I like to get items you can touch and see. Online shopping is great but I miss the human touch from being locked up during the pandemic. While there I also picked up a couple grocery items on my never ending list. When it is time to leave you have a choice self check out. Why not if you only have a couple of items. Thankful for stores like these that are truly one stop shopping. If it is made they carry it. Also you know it is the lowest prices this the extra star. read more

This location needs some attention. They put workers in departments that they know nothing about. The check out girls chit chat with the customers like it is their break time, as a result the lines move very slow. Lines at the registers could be out the door and they won't open up new ones. This Walmart is super! Located off of Sunrise Boulevard in the Purple Parrot entrance of the Simon Sawgrass Mills Mall, it is easily accessible with plenty of parking. They are just what you'd expect from the chain with the added food bonus. Everything is fresh and replenished throughout the day, and I love that they carry culture-specific items that I have come to incorporate into some of my dishes and accompany some of my meals, such as Cotija cheese, Crema Salvadorena, Naan flatbread & hummus, Malta, Pulpa de Maracuyá, Bissy tea, and others. As I worked through my little home improvement project, I recently shopped in the area, and allotted the time to where this store would be last. This way, I was assured that I could pick up some goodies for the house, including electronics, but also buy my food for dinner that night, without having to stop at another grocery store on the way home. It is well known that the prices are unbeatable and with a great number of self-checkout stations, I was out in the time it took to grill my fresh Alaskan Sockeye Salmon. read more

Typical Super Walmart experience, nothing special jumps out at me. The store is not as dirty as some I have seen, it is fairly clean. It's handy that this is open 24/7. I mostly come here for groceries and household supplies. It takes a while to learn the layout of the store. Produce is kind of hit or miss, sometimes it's good and other times it is so so. Be sure to check the dates on what you buy. My husband likes the single serving salads for work, but I always notice that the expiration dates have quite a wide range. I've been coming here for about 5 months now. Lines can sometimes be bad because they are not enough cashiers on duty. I was very pleased to see that the self checkout system (for 20 items or less) is now open, this should cut down on the wait time a lot. There were many self checkout registers open today, so I was very happy to see this. I typically only spend $30-50 on my visits, so this new set up should expedite my shopping trips. Keep in mind, you can't buy beer or wine at the self checkouts. read more

Typical supercenter. We have been multiple times, often crowded which is expected. More often than not, items on my list go unfulfilled due to stock shortages. The fresh vegetables section could be improved for quality control (some bruised, or rotten items). I also bought salad dressing recently, which was expired. They were able to return it, but associates on the sales floor should be checking such items before they stock the shelf, not pushing old merchandise behind new merchandise might prevent this issue. Associates could be more friendly, but considering the pandemic, I could let it slide for a few more months...I guess (imagine the eyeroll emoji). Overall, the store is average. Doesn't always have what I need/ want. Parking is always fun at the particular location. read more

Being going on this wall mart since I moved to Sunrise back on the year 2000, it used to be much smaller and they didn't have as many things as they have it now! It's always packed, and trust me don't bother going at nights on weekends or you will be there for a longggg time, they close the express lines on weekends at night time, so if you are in a rush... don't even think about coming over! Overall, I always find what im looking for, shelves always have plenty of products, and since is really close to my house, I do work really close by so it's always one of my options to get the groceries for the house! They do have a huge garden section as well, which you can find alot of plants, and must have things for you to keep your garden up to date! 4 stars because of the huge lines on weekends nights, since express lines are close it makes almost impossible to shop there! read more

Truly a superstore. I find that they may have a smaller garden selection than the big orange store next door but they have great prices and a pretty good selection. Their bath and beauty area is great. Prices on their own private Equate brands are just as good as the big brands just not as high of prices. I rarely do any grocery shopping but for convenience, I can stop in for paper towels, a pair of socks, an 8 pack of powerade zero and a pint of icecream all under 1 roof. Life doesn't get much more convenient than that. Parking can get a little tricky during peak shopping days and hours but I never mind parking closer to the garden area and picking up my shopping card from outside and entering from that part of the store. Overall, there are days I run in for a few things and hit the self check out and then other days, it is a good place to sight see interesting people in the cool air conditioning. read more

Today I ordered a Walmart exclusive Marvel Legends Black Panther which was priced at $19.97 if you order and pick up at the store. It was marked down from $29.97 as long as it was picked up at the store. This specific Walmart location was listed as the item was in stock and would be available for pick up today. Waiting on email notification to pick up I instead received a notification that my order was cancelled because the item was no longer in stock. Now , the only way to buy it is by paying the $29.97 and picking it up in the store in two days. That is not fair business practice. Shame on you Walmart. I had just made a purchase and as I was walking out I saw that I was overcharged for an item, I went back to customer service where I explained to her that the price was incorrect and I gave her the correct price, she then said "so do you want to return it?" I told her "no" and told her again that it rang up the wrong price. She then handed me my refund. ZERO customer service skills. It's time to do better or move over so someone who can do better can have the position. read more

I come here regularly. And even at this hour. First of all, I don't know why people are being allowed to use handicap motor karts when they're not even handicapped or disabled?! I noticed a couple and at first she was the only one in the motorized cart even though she was getting up and walking around when she was shopping. Shortly after that, her husband was riding a second cart. And he was walking the whole time before that! Therefore they were using 2 carts between the 2 of them!! I have a hurt back and I'm wearing a back brace and yet I don't occupy a handicap cart in case someone else needs it more then me! These carts are to be used by disabled and physically challenged people, not for the convenience of being lazy!! Walmart management should be enforcing this! The 2nd thing that happened this evening was at checkout there were only two cashier lines open. None of the Scan & Go registers were open and there was a huge line of people wanting to check out! This Walmart is known for always being busy because it's right by the Sawgrass Mall. What manager would put only two cashier's open in the store makes absolutely no sense!!! Most of my experience here is with the photo center which has always been positive. Normally I order everything online and pick it up. As soon as it's ready they notify you and you pick it up. Simple. The employees have always been friendly and courteous. The Walmart itself is nice, you know, for a walmart. The best times to go are of course at night when there are less people out. Somehow it's still busy, but not as busy. One thing I always check is the produce which is always fresh. If shopping at night keep your receipt handy because they usually check them before you leave. read more
