Stopped in for a treat after lunch. Grabbed an ultimate green with a suggested orange base to make it a little sweeter to offset my heavier lunch. Ordered a meal replacement size as I know I'll be enjoying it on my travels. The drink was light and easy to drink. Did fill me up well and kept me refreshed while I continued on my travels. Pretty basic smoothie spot that offers a wide selection of smoothie options that come in multiple sizes. The space is decorated pretty well to give off a ~tropical-vibe~, however they don't have a ton of seats. I thought that my smoothie, a "Lime-Green Mango Smoothie" was solid (and it was prepared very quickly), however I am not very particular when it comes to smoothies. This is a really nice place with even nicer employees. I was greeted soon as I walked in and was recommended a few drinks based on my likes. Today I wanted something with blueberries and this drink didn't disappoint. Blueberry Pie has 1 % milk, vanilla protein , low-fat graham cracker, spices, blueberries and vanilla added. You get nice pieces of the berries from the bottom ,yum. The prices are okay (7 small) and they are located in a plaza ,so plenty of parking. First ever experience at Fresh Monkee was amazing -I'm already planning when I can bring my husband back to try it! I was greeted by a friendly smile and when I said it was my first time there I got the run down on who and what Fresh Monkee is. It was great because pregnancy has really thrown my taste buds and tolerance for certain things for a spin so bananas have really been bothering me lately but fruit like mango, baby loves! Southington needed a fresh smoothie place, and this place is the bomb! So many different drinks and combinations, it's hard to choose. For someone who is indecisive, it is tough to choose, but I usually go with PB Jelly Time, because peanut butter is life. I get it with vanilla protein. You can choose the size of your smoothie, so I usually get the meal size which is humongous and I drink some of it that day, and save the rest for breakfast the next morning. Works out pretty good. Decently priced too for basically 2 smoothies. If you have no idea what to get, don't worry, they are very friendly inside, and will help you get the right smoothie for you. Lots of non-dairy options as well, protein and milk. I even heard one of the workers helping a man figure out his drink order in regards to his daily macros. I've been wanting to try the shakes here for awhile and I'm so glad I finally did!! I've gotten two different flavors of shakes from here so far (the chocolate dipped strawberry moon and the chocolate buzz) and both have been amazing. The chocolate dipped strawberry moon tastes like a chocolate covered strawberry and the coffee buzz tastes just like a coffee coolata! The meal sized (32 ounce) options are definitely enough to keep you full for a few hours! I like that the shakes have real fruit blended in instead of just using flavored protein powders like other protein shake establishments. I Iove their smoothies, but 3 stars for the mediocre service. I'll stick to the Berlin location where the staff is much friendlier. So I don't want to say I had a negative experience at the Southington location, but it wasn't the most pleasant either. There were 2 young women working (today, Sunday, August 20th, 2023). I placed my order online for pick-up. When I walk in, I was the only customer aside from 2 female employees, no-one says anything other than looking at me. Shortly after, 7 people walk in (some are in different groups), but not one person is acknowledged as we all stand there looking at each other. Shortly after my order was ready. Needless to say, I will not return to this awkward location. The staff at Berlin are great. read more

I have never physically been in this establishment, I couldn't even tell you how to get there, but I often order their 2 green smoothies through DoorDash when I am too busy to make my own juice at home and am more than Pleased with the quality and quantity. I feel like the cups would more than hold the 32 oz from a Powerade bottle (just to give a size representation). The juice is ALWAYS made with fresh, juicy produce (as opposed to old and dried out) and doesn't have any added sugar. You definitely can't get fresh smoothies like that from any chain restaurants. So apparently, the owner, Tammy, left a career in education, took a leap of faith and opened The Fresh Monkee in Southington. Assisted by a crack staff including TAYLOR (she said she was important), Isabella and Niko, this monkee delivers. I've taken a liking to the place so I'm writing a glowing review. Every morning I have been greeted by pleasant and bright staff who attend to the smoothie making with care and deliberation. I have also noticed that when some regulars come through the door, their standing order is underway before they reach the register. I wish TFM much success and, under the leadership of someone who really loves their business, I think Tammy's Monkee will do well.
