I know times are tough right now but why not support our local businesses! I got a large milk tea with no ice and tapioca. It hit the spot! I actually ubereats so it was pricier than usual but worth it. Milk tea was a bit bitter than what im use to but a closer representation of hong kong style milk tea and im here for it! Grab yourself a drink from here when you're in the area!

Rows and rows of loose leaf and such. Enjoy a whiff of you please!

It is a strange sight to see the transformation starting along Main Street- boarded up shops and the landscape being encroached upon by boarded up shops- the hangers on include a number of restos- and this little gem on the corner open a bit later than much on that stretch. Friendly servers who explain the process of how the tea is made, and showing the process is a bit of an added touch. The wide open space and the upper loft for the younglings to study is a throwback and a welcoming addition the the community. While a bit on the pricing side for a steaming cup of Chai, not to mention this Elephant milky thing for over $6,00, one can see that quite a bit of care is taken into its preparation.aube it's when we came, bit the dlswrets were a hit on the pricey side but looks like a tasty 2 biter for the cheesecake. Really a nice option for the younger crowds and for a nice steamy cup on a cold day!?

Went to the tea shop with my girlfriend and I wasn't planning on getting anything. The cashier kinda explained what I should get and recommended a mango tea ice tea with mango pearls. When I tried it I instantly smiled. I LOVED IT!! Definitely would come here again right in the corner of Main Street and across ferry lake in Newmarket and across Cachet restaurant

Found this nice gem when I was walking on NewMarket main street with a friend prior to our axe throwing yelp event around the area. On a Thursday evening at around 6pm, Main Street NewMarket is VERY quiet, but because the event does not start until 7pm, we had to find a place to sit down for a bit and I am glad I found this place! This place is pretty large, with lots of seating just up the stairs and very cozy decorations. They serve a lot of variety of teas (cold and hot) and also regular coffee and specialty coffee such as latte. To top it off, they also have pastries such as cakes and cookies if you want a bit too. I ordered a Thai Green Tea Lemonade and my friend ordered the Blueberries Royal. Both drinks were served in cold and both were delicious and refreshing for a hot summer day! Between the two, I would prefer the lemonade more because it is not as fruity as the Blueberries Royal and if you know me, I'm old school and prefer regular teas! This place also has chess (yes just like the elementary school days!) for their guests to enjoy and most importantly, WiFi that works with decent speed! This is key because I was getting pretty weak receptions on main street Newmarket! Next time I am around, I will for sure drop by and try other drinks.

I was invited to a business meeting at The Fresh Tea Shop and I LOVED it! Beautiful pictures of local artists on the walls, fireplace, modern ambiance, friendly service, soft pleasant music... Now about tea. Big selection of hot teas! Loved my Japanese green. They also have a lot of cold tea drinks. The selection of pastry is not big but my friend had muffin and loved it. Highly recommend for tea lovers or anyone who needs a place to meet with friends.

    Disappointing matcha

Ordered a few drinks today, the matcha latte was disappointing, the under filled cup was littered with bitter lumps of matcha powder hidden under a sad froth. I also had what was supposed to be passion fruit green tea with tapioca pearls. The drink tasted absolutely nothing like passion fruit and I couldn't peg what it tasted like, maybe peach or mango or possibly something citrus? Then there's the tapioca pearls, I've been to this place a few times they never get them right, they're tough and gritty, clearly not cooked correctly. It speaks volumes about an establishment when there's such a lack of quality and attention to detail. I won't be going back, fortunately Ice Babo isn't that far.

Looking for a place other then the usual coffee houses, then you should try The Fresh Tea House on Main St. Newmarket. I love bubble tea. While there's are not the authentic Asian Bubble tea. It was very good. I had the mango fresh tea with tapioca balls. Nice atmosphere to sit and chat with friends. I previously thought seating was limited but was pleasantly surprised to see how much seating there was upstairs. Store is bright and has a nice energy flow. Would recommend to my friends.

Great drinks either hot or cold. Fast Wi-Fi. Only thing I would suggest is putting a few more tables on the second level.

Last Saturday, I was in my car, parked steps away from Zoup! I had placed a dinner order. I looked across the plaza and noticed Paris Baguette (PB). I had visited COBS Bread a couple of hours earlier. Did I need another bakery visit? Yes! I had some time to kill before picking up my dinner. It was raining. I drove over to PB and parked relatively close to the store. I walked in. I felt like I was in heaven. Carb heaven. Where should I start? I got a tray. There were instructions to grab a small piece of paper and lay it on the tray. I got tongs and went to work. I saw palmiers. My mom loves them. I grabbed one with my tongs and broke off a curved section. It was probably a first for me. I ate the broken part and placed the imperfect palmier on my tray. The broken piece was yummy and was perfection. I finally understood why my mom loves palmiers. I hit the croissant section. I got a pain au chocolat, which is probably my favourite type of croissant. I also got a chocolate croissant. A nice, older woman started chatting with me. She was so sweet. She let me know that she frequents this bakery often and loves it. I asked her what items she hasn't had. It was two items, which floored me. She noticed the chausson aux pommes that I had on my tray and said that it was yummy. I got the following items: - Chausson aux pommes - Chocolate croissant - Pineapple brûlée pastry - Palmier - Pastel de nata - Pain au chocolat - Curry croquette The nice woman let me know that Mia, who was the staffer behind the counter, let her know that this bakery has Korean owners. Really? It made sense seeing mochi donuts. We both hit the checkout counter. Mia got her order and said to grab a seat. She'd bring everything to her. This nice woman said that she was shy of being 90 years old. What?! She looked great! I wouldn't have guessed that I was talking to an 89-year-old woman during my entire time here. I hope that when I am her age, I am savouring pastry as often as my new friend. Mia was great. She put all my pastries in a box. She singled out my savoury curry croquette in a paper bag. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and was good. I got my receipt, thanked her, grabbed my goodies, wished my new friend a wonderful day, and left. There was a Wild game that night. I had a pastry each period. Three pastries in three hours. They were delicious! I will say that the ones with fresh fruit were the most expensive, just over $6. They were worth it. The chausson aux pommes had the best apple filling. It was flaky and delicious. I absolutely devoured the pineapple brûlée pastry. The pineapple chunks were set in custard and were so naturally sweet. This pastry was superb. The pain au chocolat continues to be my favourite croissant. It was flaky and had the best chocolate in every bite. So good! I had the chocolate croissant and loved it. It was fresh, flaky, and soft. The chocolate drizzle had the right amount of chocolate with the buttery croissant. I was extremely happy with my pastel de nata. The custard had a hint of sweetness. The base of flaky. It could have been torched on top more, but I'd get half a dozen next time. I didn't know what to expect with the curry croquette. It was delicious. It had a crispy exterior, crusted with a mix of white and black sesame seeds. The curry filling was full of good flavour. It had veggies in it. The corn and carrot combination worked nicely. I raved about this place to my friend at work today. There's one at Heartland in Mississauga, which is perfect for us to do a run after work. I had an excellent experience. It was nice meeting a passionate pastry lover while getting her take on what she loves. Everything that I consumed was excellent. I hope to get a drink next time and perhaps sit down to enjoy it. I'll be back. (117)

I wanted to try a little bit of everything, so I went for their red velvet cookie, pistachio croissant, and cappuccino. The croissant was my favourite - flaky, buttery, and had just the right amount of pistachio filling. The cappuccino paired nicely with these pastries, though it was pretty standard. While the red velvet cookie was also tasty, I wish it was slightly chewier, but I loved that there was cream cheese frosting in the middle. This is one of those cafes that while the interior decor looks a bit basic (and there's nothing wrong with that in my books!), I think their pastries stand out and make it worth the visit :)
