Wonderful little vintage store that is somehow packed with treasures but not overwhelming! They have everything from great dresses, shoes, tees... you name it. I walked out with a great little silk scarf I've been tying around my bags and weaving through my pony tail since I left the store. They have changing rooms so no need to do the awkward over the clothes try ons. Check their hours before making the trip! They close early (around 5 I think) and are closed on Tuesdays and Wednesday. We were staying just a block away but almost didn't make it because we kept leaving the area too early and getting back too late. Worth the trip! I'm gonna be honest here, I would've never gone into this place unless my friend Sherri talked me into it. However it was really fun quirky and odd and I had a great time browsing hard but fun clothing. Such a gem! The staff was so inviting, and kind. At first, i was greeted by a staff member that wanted to see if I wanted to start a dressing room. I have to admit, I buy a lot of vintage and wish I tried it on. At first I politely declined. Soon, I was in the dressing room (such an adorable dressing room). I bought two pieces that I absolutely love. A lot of the dresses here are from $25-30. A little steep for what is offered back home for vintage finds but definitely worth it. My boyfriend and I ran into this spot when we were walking around Forsyth Park and could not believe it! This place is such a hidden gem! There aren't a lot of great vintage stores out there but this place has so much to offer for both men and women. They also have a pretty big jewelry, hat, sunglasses, shoes and beach collection. Anyone who visits should definitely stop in! They also have a very cute dressing room with great backgrounds so you can take pics. It's well decorated with old games and things. They're very accommodating if you come with your dog as well. read more

I stumbled upon this place when it was first opening and almost had a style-gasm. I love vintage and eclectic clothing. This place is definitely full of pieces that will make you Instagram famous. The first great thing about The Future is their credit system. If you have some gently used items that you've grown bored with, they'll exchange them for store credit. I traded in some earrings and a jean dress and got enough to buy some adorable sunnies and a vintage tee. They're super fair. If it's worth it, they'll pay it. The Future has shoes, hats, coats, dresses, accessories, jumpers: everything to make your wallet dance out your pocket and into the register. The prices have gone up a tad since they first opened, but if you know you're fabulous, why not charge a little more. You can still get a nice outfit for around $25. The even sell Member's Only jackets way cheaper than you'll get them online. If you're a hipster and you know it, head down to The Future. I was in vintage paradise! I could spend the day there browsing and discovering all of the hidden treasures of days gone by! Prices were reasonable and easy to see. Five Reasons for my Five Stars: *The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The Future is clean, well organized, and the selection is ever changing! I stop in The Future on a regular basis and there is always something new to admire and I rarely make it out without finding something I "absolutely cannot live without." The prices are VERY REASONABLE. I have purchased everything from an antique cotton slip dress from the 1920s to a cool 1960s era pillbox hat, vintage beaded cardigans, jumpsuits- you name it- there's something for everyone especially if you have an ever changing sense of style. *The staff is courteous and attentive. Not overbearing but definitely helpful and make you feel appreciated as a customer supporting a local business. *LOCATION AND PARKING!!!!!- okay that's two things- but seriously- skip Broughton Street and the insanity that comes along with it- ride your bike and lock up right in front of the store at the conveniently located bike rack or drive- parking is never a problem. *Great place to buy a one of a kind gift- The Future also has amazing bags, sunglasses, jewelry, scarves, and an awesome selection of enamel pins and patches *They buy by appointment- meaning- you don't have to wait for the staff to go through 500 other bags of other people's stuff! I was not actually that impressed with The Future. I had high hopes but everything is made out of polyester and nothing is really fresh or interesting. I did like their jewelry though. Unfortunately some things were cute... But in humid georgia they were completely impractical. read more
