Thankfully the weather cooperated for a Nebraska April wedding. The fountain in the front of the main door was a lovely addition. Parking was good, but somewhat limited. Indoor, it had vibes of a quaint Italian village. The decor was set up to look like a little Italian spot, a vineyard, something along those lines. The curved staircase from the top to lower floors made the entrances dramatic. There was a great space to set up food and an open bar. The bartenders were fabulous. The table arrangement worked so well with the dance floor, I was impressed!

For my wedding day before I even got dressed they set up and decorated the entire reception hall. I had leftover flowers they arranged and set out that really completed the space. Throughout the night they kept the event on track, helped with the ceremony rehearsal, and packed up at the end. Guests raved about the views and rustic decor. There is not one critique I could find. Cannot recommend this place enough.

The owners John and Ray were absolutely fantastic to work with, they were extremely detailed and attentive, which was super helpful since we live in a different state. They were never annoyed with our questions and provided great details, not to mention their package was very competitive given it comes with the food (available for upgrade) and an awesome DJ! We ended up booking our photographer, videographer and the photobooth from the DJ's company and they had the special pricing for castle unicorn as well! It was raining on our wedding day which was not how I would've preferred, but John and Ray immediately switched to the indoor plan B and all of our guests ended up having a blast, and everyone thought the misty view made the ceremony even dreamier! One of our guests was in a wheelchair at the time and called for assistance and the owners arranged it for her right away. If you want a hassle free wedding with a complete package and a super attentive venue to work with, I recommend castle unicorn 200%!

But the room is so loud that you can't hear the other people speak at your own table. The space is like a warehouse and any noise just bounces off the walls, ceiling, and floor. Carpet would help with this, but even noise-reducing panels on the ceiling would be so helpful. They could even be white to blend in with the ceiling. The sound may not be a problem with a smaller crowd, but my husband and I are still talking about how damn loud it was inside the building. Thank goodness the weather was perfect that evening because the only respite we had from the noise was the outdoor area.

We knew within five minutes of walking in that this was the right venue for our wedding. The space was charming, full of personality (even cat art, which we loved), and perfect for our 120 guests. Mary was absolutely fantastic. She was responsive, more than helpful, and genuinely invested in making sure we had the perfect wedding day. She worked closely with our caterer and helped with so much behind the scenes, including the setup, logistics, and bar service. Words don't do justice to just how incredible this place and the people who work here are. We highly, highly recommend this space for any special event!

There are lots of little touches here and there that are very unique and a nod to the past. I love the creaky wood floors and they've done an excellent job of keeping as much of the original architecture and building intact. You definitely feel like you're stepping into a bygone era. They had a full bar and very decent drink prices. I would definitely rent out this venue if I needed a space in the future.

The contract includes the reception and caterer, and the venue itself was beautiful. Unfortunately, the caterer (Mangia Italiana) really let us down, and they are the main reason I'm giving this a one-star review. The food was bad: the pasta was overcooked, the salad was terrible, and the dinner rolls were hard. The servers also had attitudes. Much of the food was left uneaten by the guests. While guests were still eating, the servers had already started clearing tables, making it feel like people were being rushed to finish food that wasn't even edible. I promised my daughter I wouldn't say anything, but we recently ate at Mangia Italiana, and it was another disappointment.

Their in house caterer (Mangia) is to die for!! I'm forever grateful for this venue and making our day so perfect!!

I've been a photographer at 2 weddings here over the last year. One had about 80 guests, the other…read morearound 200. I must say they do a great job with backdrops for the head table and first dance. My only note is that the group that was around 200, was still not at capacity and walking around in the room was a total nightmare. I could barely get around as the photographer, and the guests were dealing with the same. The round tables were cramped as well. I would highly suggest less than 150 people in this venue if you want to be able to move at all! Overall though, great experience. Never met anyone besides servers that worked there, no wedding planner or anything, which worked out but would have been good to have a contact person with the venue incase something was needed as the photographer.

There's a small outdoor patio area for a ceremony, it was a pretty set up with white chairs and some shading, but not much. It rained the morning of the wedding, and there was an area where the bridesmaids stood that was a bit flooded, so that was a bummer. Inside the set up was beautiful, lots of table space and a dance floor. The food was set up in an adjoining room, a huge area with lots of room for food tables. There was another adjoining room that looked like the bridal getting ready area. Right next door is a convenience store with snacks and drinks while you wait, if you need it!
