The HVAC wasn't working, so there were clear plastic vents run along the ceiling to provide air conditioning using a propane generator (as the clerk explained). I find very good deals at Ollie's on: sheets, towels, kitchen baking pans and pots, coffee pods, and toiletries.

While the situation was very frustrating, he is doing everything he can to fix it. Ordered a bed frame on Nov 21st. Didn't come in until January 13th. (They told me it would take three weeks tops.) Was told I could pick it up Saturday at 11 and they had it in the delivery truck, which we never asked for or paid for. ( I guess they were going to charge that later. We took it.) Finally got it home, and it's the color I SPECIFICALLY stated I didn't like. I wanted brown, it was white. Took it back and they flat out refused to give me my money back. Saying they will deliver the scuffed up floor model. (I originally offered to take that in November instead of waiting but I found out the drawers were broken. I could deal with scuffs but I'm not paying for broken) They claimed the brown color was discontinued and that's what took so long. But then why did you order a white one? You have to know what you ordered right? You said you ordered brown drawers for the floor model. I thought you couldn't order the brown color? So at this point I don't even want to do business with them and tell them as much and they refuse. After all of these screw ups, they are still refusing to give me my money back. So they are delivering the scuffed floor model (It was like one scuff when I saw it in November but still) with supposedly new brown drawers that were discontinued and supposedly can't be ordered. ( I honestly don't believe they will be new when they get here) I will never come back here. A business who refuses to give you your money back when they screw up is outrageous, and when I looked up if they were a BBB member I was unsurprised to find out they weren't. So this is the most I can do to express my disappointment. Them forcing my business with them to continue after all of this is absolutely wild( I told them as much) No, free delivery and installation on the floor model doesn't make me happy about it, like they decided it would.

I was really excited to finally visit the Superman Museum in Metropolis, but the experience left me…read morefeeling pretty let down. In their defense, it was a Sunday afternoon and most things in town were closed -- which is understandable -- but the museum itself was open. I stepped into the gift shop first and immediately felt overwhelmed by the sheer volume of Superman merchandise. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big Superman fan, but most of it felt like stuff I could easily find online. After wandering around the shop for a bit, I honestly lost interest and never even bought a ticket to see the actual museum exhibits. The town itself does have some nice touches -- there are several cool murals and statues scattered around, which were highlights. Unfortunately, the place felt like a bit of a ghost town that day, which made the whole experience fall flat. I'll probably give it another shot during their annual fair or on a weekday when more is open, but it'll be a while before I make the trip back. If you're a huge Superman fan, it might still be worth checking out, but manage your expectations -- especially if visiting on a Sunday afternoon. ----UPDATE---- After the staff reached out, I decided to bump up my review. Their passion for the museum really came through and I appreciated the response. As a huge Superman fan who grew up watching the original Christopher Reeve movies in theaters and collecting the classic TV shows, I expected something a little different. I'll definitely visit again on a weekday -- I'm sure the experience will be much better when I skip the gift shop and go straight into the museum. The gift shop was well stocked, but I personally wasn't looking to add more items to my collection. I mainly wanted to see old props, costumes, and classic collectible from the shows/movies and old toys.
