I attended a League Cup as a player on December 7th, 2025. During one of the rounds, I witnessed the following incident between two players, I will refer to here as Player 1 and Player 2. Player 1, who was new to completive play, shuffled his deck after a deck search, but did not offer it to Player to for a cut before drawing from a card effect. Player 2 called a judge after this happened. After reviewing the situation, the judge issued Player 1 a warning for failing to present the deck for a cut. Following this ruling, Player 2 became visibly upset and began using profanity and getting very angry, where I was feeling unsafe. Player 1 attempting to deescalate the situation responded, "you don't have to rule shark me over it." Player 2 then escalated the situation by saying, " meet me outside and see what F***ing happens" along with other curses and violent threats. The head judge, Alan, attempted to disqualify both players, despite Player 1 being the target of the threats. Player 2 left the venue. Player 1 stated he would contact the police regarding the threats if he was disqualified, the judges allowed Player 1 to stay and finish the tournament, where he placed second. During the tournament, Judge Alan proceeded to act unprofessionally towards Player 1, and threw prize packs aggressively at him at the end of the rounds. After the event concluded, the judges informed Player 1 that he was banned from future tournaments at that store. Based on what I witnessed, and as an active member in the community and pokemon professor, I believe this decision was unfair, as Player 1 did not instigate the confrontation and was subjected to direct threats from Player 2. This store and the judges have a very bad reputation in the area, being unfair to new players and unsafe for women to play. The judges have also made fun of the community calling them "autistics". I strongly believe that they should not be in good standings with the Pokemon Play Community and should not be a sanctioned store. read more

This gaming store is located on Main Street in downtown East Stroudsberg. With Spider-Man and a smiling Pikachu beckoning from the main window display, it's hard not to walk in and check it out. Inside the store, the first area to greet you is board games, with options for different game styles and interests available. Pretty ok selection for reasonable prices. Towards the middle of the store is the cash register area on the right with collectors' "weapons" displays overhead for safe keeping and display. To the left is a section with American DC/Marvel comics and a small shelf of manga. Further back is a smaller, more specific modeling and other comic related section, followed by open tables in the back for Magic and other card games. Terrific idea to incorporate tables for player interaction and provide a space for gamers to enjoy games in person. In the very back is an e-sports area with consoles and computers set up. When I visited, these weren't in use, but good idea for non-covid times. I also noticed signs posted up for special game nights on certain days a week, for example one sign listed a Pokémon weekly game night. Covid-related: staff wore masks as did most of the patrons. There is a sign on the door requesting customers to wear face coverings. There did not seem to be a limit on # of people in the store, and when I was there on a Saturday early afternoon there was probably around 10 people in the front section of the store and about a dozen seated in the game-play area in the back. read more

The Gamer's Edge Comics and Games is in downtown Stroudsburg, a town with plenty of street parking. Shop is big and has lots of room. Gamer's Edge has a problem though, in that it lacks direction. They are trying to do too many things in one space and selection seems to be suffering. There is a fair selection of board games at the stores entrance. Further back in the store is a fair selection of video games. Comic selection could be much better, with a limited graphic novel and new pull selection. Has some longboxes and wall books. Tabletop gaming supplies were limited. I found it hard to determine the quantity of card gaming supplies. Collectible's selection was hit or miss. Back of the shop is open and dedicated to card and video gaming, with many tables' setup. Overall, if this is your local store and depending on your interest it could be good. I would like to see them at least improve the selection of comics. read more

This place literally saved the day! We were stranded in the Poconos with a booster box of Dominaria and no lands, so we couldn't draft as planned. They had all the lands we needed and plenty of other great stuff. I wish this was my local store! I was really impressed with their selection of not just hobby games and CCGs, but comics and vintage video games as well. The staff was super knowledgeable and friendly and went well above and beyond to make sure we left with everything we needed. They even let us print out character sheets so we could run a Monster of The Week session. The. Best. read more

Love comics and this place has them. I hear it's also THE place for Magic in NEPA. Wish they had a bigger selection of hardcover and trade paperbacks. Wonderful selection of classic games with prices that you won't find at chain stores. read more

I absolutely love this store. The staff has always been really great when I come in there (usually with my husband and our little one). They have a great selection of classic and new board games, along with some great table top selections (we are big Pathfinder and World of Darkness fans). Their comic selection is also pretty good. As another reviewer said, they really do seem to have a little bit of everything! I visit at least once a month -- more often when I have the cash to spend :) read more

I was surprised to see that this store had recived a one star review. The individual singled out a single incident which upon reading appears greatly over inflated. To bash a store with such a paltry subjective issue is irresponsible and not worthy of the effort. On the other hand the moment I stepped into the store I knew I was in gaming heaven. Lots of choices, tables and a generally good atmosphere. I talked to some of the employees and felt at home. This a nice clean hobby game and comic store. They have a good selection of latest comics and the hobby games. There is a huge Munchkin selection in the front display racks. The tables in the store are your standard 8x2 and are set up for mostly Magic tourneys,but some tables are set aside for open gaming as well. The staff is friendly and inviting always saying hello to you when you enter the door. The bathroom is a bit small ,but it is clean. They have let me run demos of games there for the last 2 months and made sure there was a table set aside just for me. read more

Pros: Lots of broad games, comics in weekly, figurines, vintage video games, and trading card games including magic, pokemon, kijudo, my little pony, and weis shwartz. Mostly friendly atmosphere and knowledgeable staff. Cons: Most of the owners and employees are friendly and knowledgeable except for Jared Acosta. He is an asshole and a bigot. He knew little about anything other than magic cards and actually had other non-employee people who I guess he knew knew more about the subject help me instead of learning about other products. He was rude to me and the employees. I was very dissatisfied in my visit and will NEVER go there again despite being an avid magic player and board game player. I had had previous positive experiences there but Jared's attitude toward his staff and the customers outraged me and I refuse to give my hard earned money to him. If he was bought out I would consider returning but as far as I am concerned and as far as my friends are concerned we are fed up with him and his attitude. read more

Hands down the best comic book store in the area. Offers daily tournaments with more than fair prizes. Staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They offer support for variety of hobbies, from various trading card games, board games, comics, miniatures to role playing. read more
