It's large, and well organized and the employees are knowledgeable and helpful. The prices may be a bit high, but the selection and quality seem to also be very high. We definitely found everything we were looking for and more that we didn't know we were looking for. We were happy with everything we bought and did find some real deals. I had been looking for a scindapsus pictus (often called a satin pothos, but I learned while I was here that it's not actually a pothos). The nurseries I'd been to never had one and so I was pleasantly surprised they had quite a few to pick from! Laura was super helpful and kind! They have a really pretty setup. They sell adorable decor and plant pots as well. As someone who is new to plants, I appreciated Laura's expertise and advice. She answered all my questions thoroughly. I was advised that I could buy soil for my plants from them in the future whenever I need to repot. She gave me a plant card with information on how to care for my plant at checkout. I also joined the plant points program. I live kind of far but will drive out here again to buy another plant, soil, or anything else I may need in the future! They have a good mix of common and more rare plants, and prices are reasonable for the most part. Their $5 Saturday in store and online plant special is always a good deal (the day I went it was a 4" peperomia frost in store and a 4" lipstick plant online). Their new store has more homewares, jewelry, and gifts/trinkets than their previous location, since this one has more space. They had some cute things. Definitely a fun place to browse, and for plant-lovers like myself it's extremely hard to walk out empty-handed.

The lady in charge was outside watering the giant hydrangeas, but immediately came to help my wife with her new plant scavenger hunt. Like most times when my wife gets the hunter glare in her eyes, I wisely stay back, and only provide arms for bag holding. Except here at Johnson's Statuary! They make some of their own concrete statuary and can order almost anything for you. They sold one of two of their buildings so their inventory is contained in a smaller courtyard and shed. But they are still open with a decent selection of statuary, urns and birdbaths. They have 5 or 6 models of fox and can give you the St Charles history of each. Charlemagne, Royal Fox, Pride of the Fox are a few of their well known models. Prices are very decent, policies/care stated on sales receipt. No exchange or returns so be sure your selection fits. They have cherubs, military/service memorials, saints, fantasy creatures, animals and even 2 unique depictions of President Lincoln. I tried to exchange an item for a larger more expensive one and was given a very hard time. They don't want to have to lift the heavy items into you car again - excuse me- that is the business you are in. Don't complain, hire someone young and strong and get it done. They do not care if their customer is happy. I was told "If you don't like it, don't come here no more." In the end, the exchange was made, but grudgingly.
