My Audi broke down on westbound PA Turnpike, west of Carlisle. We managed to get to the Blue…read moreMountain rest stop, where I called AAA for help. Three hours later AAA called me back and told me they can't service the Turnpike and to call the Turnpike Authority for help. So I did that and the PA Turnpike Authority took my call, told me AAA was lying (there is no prohibition on AAA servicing the Turnpike, they just don't like paying the tolls) and would call me a AAA-certified toe truck. A non-AAA tow truck came and I had to pay out of pocket for the tow. Just a really bad experience for AAA, who promised me separately they would look into the situation but so far nothing. Just leaving a note from my experience.
