We booked online but you can book the same day. Remember that after the license is issued that a couple in Texas has to wait 72 hours to be married. The owner seems to have a special calling for this. My parents and their two friends had a really great time as well as us. We felt special and privileged and honored and even though it didn't cost a million dollars didn't mean we didn't feel like a million.

She worked with us, answered questions, re-answered questions and had so much patience with me (a very picky MOB- not bridelizza, but just detail oriented) Judith Shaw became Miss Judith to us and the biggest help ever!! All the amenities that she offers saved us tons! The vendor list she offers (but doesn't require) was SO helpful!! At rehearsal, Miss Judith shewelcomed all the family, and was there for any of our request - On the BIG DAY- she double checked every detail and her staff took care everything and left us with nothing to worry about! the Chapel and Reception hall were perfect, the sunset photos were breath taking, and the horse drawn carriage that she arranged was PERFECT!!! It had all the charm you'd hope for (the vintage feel, the clawfoot tub, even the most creative little touches like the sink), while still being incredibly comfortable with modern amenities. You can tell a lot of care went into making it both beautiful and livable. What really makes this place stand out, though, is the setting. Waking up to open fields, wildflowers, and animals nearby, and then winding down under a sky full of stars--it felt peaceful in a way that's hard to find. It was the kind of place that gently pushes you out of your comfort zone in a safe and meaningful way, and those are the experiences that stick. There were also a few thoughtful touches and moments during our stay that made it feel even more special and memorable. It created some true core memories for my kids--those little unexpected experiences that you don't forget. The caretakers were absolutely wonderful. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel welcome and took extra time to make sure we were comfortable. You can feel how much they care about the space, the animals, and the people who visit. The "inn" is really a 40 acre farm (bed and breakfast) with animals for kids to look at, various buildings to view, and a community fire pit. Ordinarily, there is a breakfast bar that was not functioning during the pandemic. The bucolic environment was very relaxing and we appreciated the time away from the hustle and bustle. There were some problems with our Airstream. The inside smelled musty and the sheets had some weird odor. We were there in October and it got cold at night but there was no heat so we froze during the night. There were no blankets. The "kitchen" was not very well equipped, lacking even a bottle opener. So, we enjoyed our time but it would have been better if the Airstream had been better maintained and equipped.

There's something about being out in nature that just feels good. Recently, I had the chance to stay at Moon River Ranch, and it was a great experience. The ranch is located near Waco, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. One of my favorite things about the ranch was getting to help with the animals. I've always loved animals, and it was great to get to spend some time working with them. The 3bedroom house was very clean and the rustic log cabin look made us feel like we were truly on a ranch. The safari ride was so fun and the animals were out and several came Up to the hummer we were riding in..the hayride was an experience as we soaked in the gorgeous sunset! The kids loved the pool overlooking the water.. The Overall, it was a great experience, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit. Thanks for everything!

I was unaware of this until after the deadline for free cancelation. Upon learning this two weeks before my stay, I tried to contact them via phone and e-mail, never a response. I guess they never intended to make it right. We did not go!! They ruined my 35th Wedding Anniversary!! DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE, GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY THEY WILL SCAM YOU WITHOUT EVEN TRYING TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE. Inside the reception building they have comfortable seating in one area they have an area an inside that can be set up for you to have a meal area also there is a bar section. One downfall is there is only ONE bathroom which to me is an issue. When you have 50-150 people there an there is one bathroom an people have to wait for it that's no go for me. Second downfall for me is that I'm disabled an trying to walk from parking lot to the sidewalk is rough, all the little stones makes walking with a cane difficult. Beside that the staff is polite an are accommodating. Sorry I missed getting pictures of the actual chapel it's super cute.

My daughter had her wedding at this beautiful venue in China Spring, TX. When we went to visit the…read morevenue we were told it could fit up to 300 people but it would be tight. We had approx 240 guests and we felt it was a tight fit. Their kitchen is small and made for a very tight situation with the caterer and all the supplies needed for the reception. It also has a small commercial fridge which had some of the owners drinks in it but we managed to fill it up with some of our drinks. They do provide ice but we also brought in two huge coolers of ice to pack drinks in, that didn't fit in the kitchen fridge. If you have a large bridal party the bridal suite will be very tight ( we had bride, MOB, 7 bridesmaids, MOG, makeup artist and hairstylist) and no room for all to sit especially with everyone's bags and dresses. Due to the size of the wedding we were required to hire two bartenders and two security guards. One bartender showed up and the second security guard was pulled away due to a family matter. The owners of the venue did step in as bartender and security guard. Our wedding party was the first to use their silo accommodations. They are beautiful rooms and a great outdoor area set up with fire pit and games. If you live in the Waco and surrounding area this is a great place for a wedding. For our out of town guests they either stayed at Airbnbs or at hotels in Waco. We did advise them all to be prepared for a 35-40 minute drive to the venue.
