Breakfast buffet @ the Pimlico Pantry

Awesome location within walking distance to Victoria Station (less than ten minute walk) and great Pimlico neighborhood. The hotel consist of several townhouse structures with multiple stories. Think of multi-story townhouses or B&B, with updated décor. We stayed in a Belgravia boutique room which had a double bed, hardwood floors, modern appointments, small but luxury bathroom, flat screen TV, writing desk, and a comfy sofa with lie flat option. There are nice touches such as fresh brew coffee, teas, bottled water, and shortbread biscuits. The rooms are exceptionally neat with clean lines & modern décor. My only complaint regarding my room was inadequate lighting throughout the space. Breakfast downstairs at the Pimlico Pantry located in the main structure is delicious. Great way to start your day. Fresh fruit, juices, pastries, muffins, cereals, yogurts, cheeses, and made to order hot items are scrumptious. The hosts and servers are all efficient and polite. Entire staff at the Georgian House is extra helpful. The cleaning staff is exceptional! ** Note- Our building, which was a short block away from the main structure, did not have lifts or elevators...Lots of stair climbing at this hotel. If you do book a room, ask about access if you have trouble getting up and down stairs. Our nice room was located in the basement level of the structure which was slightly a steep stair-climb down. **Location-**Location....Awesomely convenient to everything London.

Enchanted Chamber vibes. Comfortable four poster bed, though the pillow was a bit flat for our liking.

Have you ever wanted to stay at Hogwarts? Join the club. While it's not exactly possible to stay at the actual castle, the Georgian House Hotel is one of the best alternatives I've found. Even though it's only a few minutes' walk to Victoria Station, in the heart of bustling London, the Georgian House Hotel transports you to Hogwarts in their secret chambers. The front desk was very attentive and they took our bags to our room before guiding us there, which was very helpful since there was a secret entrance to our wing. We stayed in the Enchanted Chambers, which book up really fast, by the way. The room was incredible. The ambience was exactly what these Harry Potter fans wanted. Although it was a bit tight, it had enough room for the two of us. The bathroom fit the necessities, and fit the theme really well, though the toilet didn't really have a reliable flush. There's no elevator to get around the hotel - only stairs, which was fine for us, but worthy to note. We did need to go down one flight to get to our room from the main floor (and vice versa, of course, when leaving each day). To get to the included breakfast at their restaurant, Pimlico Pantry, we needed to: - Go up one flight to the main floor - Go outside - Go inside next door - Go through the correct corridor - Go down one flight to Pimlico Pantry We went the wrong way a couple times, but the staff was very willing to point us in the right direction, so we weren't too bothered by it. The food was definitely worth it, too! The Wi-Fi was serviceable but the cherry on top was truly the Handy phone that came with the room. It's a cell phone that you can take with you out on the town and use for whatever you need - unlimited data, phone calls, what have you. This was perfect for us since we were visiting from out of country - it allowed us to make calls without worrying, we were able to comfortably video chat with family back home, and we used the maps to get around the tube. Not to mention we were able to put our own social media accounts on there since it was wiped at the end of our stay. This phone saved us a bit of money since we didn't have to turn on our international roaming for the time we stayed at the hotel. *thumbs up*

    The ENTIRE bathroom.

AVOID THIS PLACE!! Let me start by saying that I am usually not a complainer. I was raised by a person of military background. I was taught to tolerate in silence. But... This place does not live up to its reviews. I paid about £180 per night and I think the hotel pulled what I would call a "bait and switch". I had seen and booked a nice-looking room online before the trip but feel I was given their worst room when I actually arrived. Our room was not even in the same building as the hotel and required walking a block (including crossing a street). The room looked like part of a renovated old basement or utility room. It was located down a very narrow stairway with a right angle turn at its top. The room was so small it barely had enough floor space for our luggage (two bags) even when they were standing upright - and then there was no place left to walk. There was no ventilation system. In addition, there was a 2' x 3' HOLE IN THE FLOOR covered with a flimsy piece of wood that actually bowed downward and creaked loudly when I stepped on it. I was worried that it might not support my weight. The bathroom was beyond tiny - about the size of two old-style phone booths. There was a single hook on the wall but not enough space to hang a towel. The sink was about 12 inches square - smaller than the size you'd expect in the toilet on a railroad car. There was absolutely NO counter space on which to lay grooming articles. The shower was minuscule. It was difficult to turn around while its door was closed. The sink drain was clogged and wouldn't. On the plus side the room was clean, the toilet flushed, and the bed was comfortable. But these are what I would minimally expect from any room.

Cutest hotel ever!! First night in London and this is where I am staying! So this is what I have everything else to compare to! Haha! Super helpful, friendly staff. No problems checking in. Offered to help with bags. Room is clean and has towels, soap, coffee, hairdryer etc. There's a tv, and a cell phone type that supposedly you can take out with you to get a hold of people. I'll try that out tomorrow! Breakfast is tomorrow morning (Update to come) So far so good!! Easy access from Victoria station.

After having lunch at the nearby Hoop & Toy (please reference my review if interested), my wife and…read moreI proceeded to the hotel to check into our room. We were greeted and assisted by an employee who observed us bringing multiple baggages up the entryway stairs. He wished us a Happy Anniversary, informed us that we were being upgraded to a suite on the fifth floor (room 503 yay yay!), shared the many amenities of the hotel, and handed us our keycards. Prior to our arrival in Kensington, we had been staying in smaller boutique hotels during our visits in Amsterdam and Paris. Therefore, the abundance of space in our suite almost made us feel like we were at home. Entering the room, we were greeted by a couch (with a TV mounted nearby) positioned in front of a sliding glass door that lead to a patio with two chairs and a table (not to mention a decent of the city). The kitchen area was complete with a microwave, utensils, plates, bowls, tea cups, coffee mugs, drinking glasses, and champagne flutes. On the counter was an expresso machine, expresso pods, a nifty device for boiling water, and a tasty assortment of chocolates with a message saying "Happy Anniversary!" Below the counter was not one, but two refrigerators (perfect for folks like us who like to purchase small grocery items - including champagne). The bedroom was a decent size with a mounted television (with the ability to access streaming services via Chromecast), snazzy Bluetooth speaker (I made good use of it!), a desk, and bed. I believe in saving the best for last...in my opinion...that would be the bathroom. The bathroom was complete with heated floors (unfortunately we did not get a chance to use them), a HUGE two person (depending on the size of said persons) sitting tub, and an open shower area with a shower head slightly extended from the ceiling (not ideal for folks that do not want to get their hair wet). Also, I forgot to mention that both the shower and hot tub have extensions. Since we were only at the hotel for three days and two nights, we did not have the time to utilize their many amenities. However, we were able to visit Apero, the bar located in the basement. We both ordered drinks from the cocktails menu, which we would later regret. Although flavorful, both drinks were loaded with so much ice that there was obviously little room for the drink itself. For both breakfast and dinner we enjoyed the convenience of room service. For breakfast we ordered the eggs, bacon, and wheat bread...which met our satisfaction's. For dinner we ordered the Chicken Ceasar salad with a side of fries with truffle mayonnaise...delicious! Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Ampersand Hotel. If you're looking for a hotel in which you can truly relax and enjoy the comfort and serenity of your room, I highly recommend staying here!

We were looking for something fun and different from a traditional afternoon tea, and this definitely leaned more interactive than expected. Arrival and First Impressions Reservations are important, and when we arrived the space was already filled with families. The setting feels polished but still very welcoming for kids, which is not always the case with afternoon tea in London. Service was excellent from the start, organized without feeling too formal, and the overall atmosphere had a fun, lively energy. The Highlights The experience is built around science themed trays filled with a mix of sweet and savory items. The kids immediately locked into the interactive elements, especially the build your own strawberry lemonade with different colored syrups, which turned into more of a mini experiment than just a drink. They also had cake pops, scones, and small PB and J sandwiches, all very approachable and fun. One of the better touches was a small take home item, a dinosaur themed tin, which the kids treated like a prize from the experience. It added to the overall feeling that this was designed with kids in mind. The adult trays had a similar variety with finger sandwiches, pastries, custards, and scones. Everything was solid and there was plenty to try. Being able to request more of anything you liked helped balance things out a bit and made it feel less restrictive for the price. The Challenges The biggest drawback is the cost. For a family of four it came out to around 350 USD, which is a significant spend for what is essentially afternoon tea. It leans more toward a themed experience than a traditional tea service, so if you are expecting something quiet and refined, this may not be the right fit. Final Thoughts This is one of those experiences that works really well if you go in with the right expectations. It is interactive, a little chaotic in a good way, and clearly designed for families more than traditional tea purists. We would not rush back and I removed a star due to the price, but we are glad we did it once because the kids genuinely loved it and still talk about it. If you are looking for something unique and are comfortable with the cost, it is worth it for the experience, though the value depends on how much you lean into the interactive side.

My two girlfriends and I rented a triple room and it was roomy enough for us, all of our luggage and towers of shopping bags. We were only given one key, and you have to be buzzed in for safety reasons after 10 or 11 pm, but that was fine for us. The staff was so accommodating. The bathroom had a towel warmer which came in handy- it is freezing in London right now. We had the perfect view of The Buttery's garden from our huge window. There is an adorable market just steps away- for provisions after hours. In the states we are used to hotel rooms having in room refrigerators- but the market made it easy to get cold drinks every night. 10/10

Ssshhhh! I honestly don't want to tell anyone about the Lime Tree Hotel - it's only 26 rooms and…read moreprobably the best kept secret in this very posh area of London!! But for you, Yelp, I'll spill the reasons why you should stay here on your next visit to London... 1) The Location is awesome. You know the three rules of real-estate, right??? location, Location, LOCATION! Lime Tree (hence-forth, LT) is located in a very posh area of London. I saw McLarens and Rolls-Royces parked ON THE STREET where the hotel is located. Who parks a USD$200K+ car ON THE STREET?!? It is short walk to the Victoria Coach Station(s), Trains and Underground (Tube). There are plenty of pubs, restaurants, grocery stores and shops around. Our room overlooked the Peggy Porschen Bakery, which I kid you not, is Instagramed during all hours by "influencers". I only hope they get as much busy as they get featured in pics on the Internet! Also, down the street is Philip Treacy, Milner to Royalty! Again, LOCATION! 2) I would be remiss if I did not mention The Service at LT. There is an eight-hour shift rotation of lovely front desk people that check you in, collect your key when you leave (yes, there is a physical key to your room door and they ask that you leave it at the front desk everytime you leave). I am goingto butcher their name spellings (probably), but during our 8 night stay here, we came to know Simone, Martine, Maggy and Laura very well and all were charming, helpful and total professionals. My mother has stayed here several times before and was hoping to speak to the owner, Matt and Charlotte, but they were off on holiday, but I hear they are as hard-working and amiable as the Wondrous Women of the Front Desk (henceforth known as WWFD) 3) The Buttery - the SMALL breakfast/lunch restaurant in the LT (but you can't charge your meals to your room in the LT). The Word is out on on this place - there were just as many Locals eating here as there were guests at the hotel. RESERVATIONS are HIGHLY recommended (they are on OpenTable). I wrote a seperate review on The Buttery, so do a Yelp search and find that, but you honestly can't go wrong here. We ate 4 of the 8 days. TomTom across the street is also a one-location (at this time) gem and is packed after 9am. Early bird gets the good breakfast! Much love to the Lime Tree! I'll be back someday
