The Maple Cottage has a little something for everyone, including antique tools, automobilia, vintage toys, and much more. The store was tidy and well organized and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Had it not been for the Grand Opening sign and the free candy station in the back, I wouldn't have guessed I was shopping at The Maple Cottage on its very first day. If you're passing through Guadalupe and you love antiques, you have to stop at The Maple Cottage.

I normally donate to this store and shop with them, but not anymore. In January we made a very…read morelarge donation of furniture, dolls and household items that came from my mom's house, no problems they took everything even her organ. I called last week to set up a donation, got an answering machine left a detailed message of what was being donated. When I did not get a call back in a reasonable time, I called them back. Was telling the gal what I was donating, she said she knew, I was on her list of calls to make. Set up the pick up for today, said I didn't have to be here, so I went shopping. When I got home they did not take the big things like my organ, the note they left said they don't take big items, but they did take the big, heavy expensive TV stand. When I called them about this just got that they no longer take big stuff, under new management. Well why didn't they say this when we set up the pick up. Well I will not longer shop there, make any donations to them or recommend them to others.
