Here are the opening hours and quiet/busy times. Sunday * 12pm to 7pm Monday * 10am - 7pm Tuesday * 10am - 7pm Wednesday * 10am - 7pm Thursday * 10am - 7pm Friday * 10am - 3pm Saturday * Closed This review will probably change to five stars when I go. Still, I'm a big online fan because otherwise I can spend half a day looking for somewhere to eat. And the online menu does say they love people with allergies. However there is no mention of gluten or gluten free on the menu. Maybe this is related to the tightening of Australian rules into "gluten friendly" rather than gluten free. Since their specialty is hot sandwiches, I'm up in the air on the gluten front. If they will allow choosing from the sides and extras menu, that would be perfect. I also like how many of their prices have stayed reasonable, with five dollar coffees, I don't know if I can eat them but their egg sandwiches for Brekky look positively dreamy.

What a unique interior- hard to explain but almost like being on a ship. They told us they have a business in Alaska and fish for their own salmon and transport it here so of course I had to try the special. It was fantastic. Can't eat it like a sandwich so ask for a fork :) Hubs had the Deli Rose and loved it. Ate every bit. Friendly service, lots of languages spoken here. Loved it Aussie 43.50

We dropped into Leura Gourmet, which had good seating and a soothing decor in the back though it had a busy entrance. I was expecting to make do with just a coffee and snacks but I looked at the menu, and asked our server if anything could be made vegan. She suggested the Oven Roasted Pumpkin as easily veganized and I ordered it. The pumpkin was roasted just right and the greens and coconut rice complemented it well. but the pièce de résistance was the accompanying beet relish. I'd never eaten beets done that way before. The coffee with oat milk I ordered next was a lovely finish to my meal, it was quite filling leaving no room for dessert . Sigh, I wish I could recreate that yummy meal here. It's a fond memory of our Australia trip.

I had been in Sydney for about a week and couldn't find any good salad options on most of the restaurants I went to. There were plenty of salad and gluten free options on this menu, I got the chicken salad - $24.90 iceberg lettuce, avocado, cucumber, pickled ginger. I'm Not sure if the salad was that great or if I was so excited to finally eat a salad. I don't remember the service being that great. I was in/out pretty quickly. The restaurant was cute but I don't remember seeing the views that some others mentioned.

Located approximately a two hour's train ride from Sydney's Central Station, I ended up going here…read morefor a big morning "brekkie" before walking to the Blue Mountains. I arrived at this place around 8:30 AM and when I walked in, I felt like I was walking into a NSW (New South Wales) countryside diner with a tiny bit of sophistication from the 1940s. I got a Breakfast Special, which I ordered my eggs to be poached, it came with bacon, ham, some hash browns and some toast with vegemite. For the first time, I had the tastiest bacon in months. Loved the tenderness, it was not overly fried, the eggs were also good, and the hash browns had a decent crisp. The toast was also good, spreading a little vegemite gave it an interesting but slightly tasty flavour. The dish, along with some orange juice, was about $12. My stomach was really full for the whole morning and part of the afternoon as I went exploring around the Blue Mountains. The service was just ok, nothing very spectacular. Wished the people could be a little nicer, but then I realised that I was in the NSW countryside, not in a nice city. Overall, if you are looking for a decently good traditional Western hot breakfast with some Australian flavour in a NSW countryside town like Katoomba, this is a pretty good option.

We are locals and this is a good place for the kids. Food is like the traditional pub/club food…read morebefore that genre of eatery went all posh and pricey. In other words it ain't top shelf but it's good, honest, tasty food. The art-deco ambiance (which is mostly original; this place was probably last refurbished in 1932) is a hit with the kiddies and hipsters alike. A lot of reviews comment on the service; we've never had an issue. Nothing is too difficult, including checking whether eggs are used in chicken nugget preparation for my nugget-loving but egg-allergic third issue. Tip: if you have egg allergies, always get them to check. They change suppliers often and it's hit and miss whether today's nuggets were prepared with egg or not. But you know what? Most places in town or elsewhere couldn't give a toss so at least they check! The wait staff are mostly young 'uns but pleasant. Never the same staff twice, and I've not seen them around town. Probably mid mountains residents rather than upper mountains locals. But they still speak the upper mountains dialect fluently and are pleasant. If you're from out of town and want to taste "typical" Aussie cuisine, go here and have the snitto and chips... which on the menu reads as chicken schnitzel and chips. It's an Aussie staple and these guys nail it.
