Having an industrial loft atmosphere, this venue is right in the heart of downtown Toronto near the Entertainment district and hustle and bustle of King West. My partner and I had gotten engaged in 2019 where we had signed a contract with Second Floor Events after looking at many other venues in Aug 2019. Our wedding was supposed to happen in Oct 2020, but due to the pandemic, we were forced to postpone where we officially held our wedding reception at Second Floor events in Oct 2021. From the very first meeting with Nicole, the Events Producer, to tour the venue, to meeting our Event Coordinator, Cindy, we knew we were in great hands. When COVID hit, we had decided to postpone our Oct 2020 date to Oct 2021, something Second Floor Events was very accommodating with. We were able to choose a new date to our liking with no extra added costs. Due to pandemic restrictions, it was tough knowing when to start planning for our Oct 2021 as my partner and I eagerly waited to hear more news from the provincial government. Finally, as the pandemic restrictions slowly lifted, we reached out to our event coordinator, Cindy, about 2.5 months before our event was supposed to take place. With a short timeline to pull the whole event together, Cindy was responsive and answered all our questions during the planning process right to the day of the wedding. We were also surprised when we had the tasting how good the food tasted (which was very important!); we were also able to customize/change any aspects of the dishes we tried to our liking and tastes. During the wedding day, Cindy as well as the Second Floor Events staff was able to make sure things were more or less on schedule. Although we had a few hiccups, many guests raved about the food and what a great time they had. The beautiful venue itself added to the atmosphere of the entire night. As stressful as the planning was, we were glad and appreciative of the staff at Second Floor Events and wouldn't have imagined celebrating with our family and friends any other way. Overall, beautiful venue in the heart of downtown Toronto, great tasting food, and great staff to work with and coordinate your next event. Could not have asked for more! As a place that is hosting special events, the seating count is small to mid-lowish head count, I would probably recommend no more than 120 to 130 people in attendance. They seem to only book 1 wedding a night, so you would be sharing the space with club members. But overall the members are in their own area and your paths won't really cross much, unless you're out on the grounds taking photos, etc. The view is amazing and there is a wonderful feel to the place that makes you forget you are in Toronto; with the expansive view of the Lake and the Bluffs in the distance (it does get a bit foggy/misty in the morning - but if your ceremony is in the afternoon - it clears up so you get a gorgeous view) They have a large private space for the Bride to get ready in and they keep you plenty refreshed with refreshments and food for the big day. The staff, in general, are super pleasant and very welcoming. From what I saw, they were quite easy to work with as well. The food is quite excellent, as well. One small minor detail is that dance floor is outside, so just be aware that bugs ( namely Mosquitos) can become an issue. I've been to many different venues around Ontario, and nothing comes close to comparing to this place. With lush green spaces on the edge of the lake, this place is breathtaking. It's strength is in the amples of outdoor spaces. They even have a champagne somelier on staff for sabrage which is an excellent touch to mark your celebration. The food is exceptionally good and prepared to perfection. This is rare at any wedding venue when cooking for large groups. I think the reason for this is because they cap capacity. The place only holds about 100 ppl for dinner. Also, they have an excellent chef on staff. The bridge and groom showed and discussed their dinner options with me whilst planning the wedding. They boiled it down to three options, but it was a tough decision because everything that The Hunt could prepare was impressive. It really took banquet food to an elevated experience with simple refined touches. And i have to say that the prices were fair and not outrageous at all. Since the wedding was a mixed British/Indian wedding, the Hunt Club went out of their way to prepare dishes tailored to the bride and groom that were not typical to the preparation the Hunt is used to. The anglican and indian ceremonies were separated by a high tea course (all excellently and traditionally prepared), followed by indian inspired canope's. They were authentic to my surprise. They even prepared a special recipe tea that the groom is famous for, and they got it almost bang on. I'm so impressed. If you are having a smaller wedding and looking for that special venue, this is the place. Beg borrow steal to get yourself connected with a member here. My only complaint is that the serving staff are a little young, so don't have the finely refined serving skills that would complete the picture.

I like the open bar layout in the room I was in - it had a variety of drinks available and I love how it opens up to the grand lobby that's right beside it. This is perfect for weddings - doing some sort of mini photo booth; or birthday parties, where you can just hang around, mingle and see different table set ups. Inside the hall can probably host up to 15 tables or so. Great sound system, dance floor and high ceilings. I also like how they have spaced out the tablets are appropriate as possible to ensure social distancing. All the staff were also very accommodating and making sure each guests are served. It's tough nowadays with the pandemic to host large venues, but I'm glad Mississauga Grand was able to make everything easy to follow!

I also realize now that there were a few glitches that occurred behind the scenes and she managed to sort through it all without me having to know at the time. I am so appreciative of this. Madison also corresponded with me in the weeks leading up to the wedding when she was away on vacation - I think this is the definition of going above and beyond! Toronto Concert Orchestra created such a welcoming experience at Palais Royale. The waterfront location is gorgeous, and enjoying the harbour view before the show made the night feel like a mini getaway without leaving Toronto. We upgraded to the VIP experience, and I thought it was worth it. The waterfront lounge, food, and drinks were a great way to start the evening and made it feel like more than just attending a concert. The performance was incredible. I especially loved how they transformed familiar stories into opera, making it easy to follow and enjoyable even for someone who has never attended one before. This is such a great idea for a date night, anniversary, girls' night, or even a solo night to do something special for yourself. Don't forget to arrive early to enjoy the venue and views!
