We like the customer service and the friendliness of the nurses and staff all around. They do a great job of keeping the kids at ease whether sick or just wary of what is happening. Another big plus is the after-hours nurse line. Not only do they call back fairly quickly, you get a caring, helpful voice on the other end of the line that helps you sort out what to do until the office or pharmacy opens in the morning. We definitely feel that our children's health is in good hands here.

Not only is this terrible customer service but it suggests that similar improper charges will repeat in the future and that the practice does not take accountability for its billing beyond maximizing the cost to the patient and delegating the patient relationship outside of the exam room to non-doctors (frankly further making the billing code I challenged bogus at its core because it indicated it related to the doctor managing the continuing care relationship). I was also a patient at Southdale Pediatrics when I was a child and continued the relationship for my son with the belief that we would get personalized care. Moving away from an actual doctor patient relationship to an experience where a bot manages the relationship entirely soured me on the practice. It is not the way to provide a professional service.

The nursing staff that came in to take vitals were great and knowledgeable. They were friendly as well, making us feel very welcome. The Dr Reed came in. She was fantastic. She has a wealth of knowledge of pediatrics and has years of experience and has seen it all. She would talk about how some current trend started years ago and replaced another trend that came out of another trend. We talked about a range of topics and she answered all of our questions with ease and she was very present with us - she did not at all appear as though we were annoying her or driving her crazy with all of our new parent questions. When he was seen he had…read morea low temp, which wasn't a concern of mine because I run a low temp also, but the Pediatrician told us to visit the nicu right away. We went to the hospital immediately after; turns out he was dehydrated and couldn't regulate his body temp. He spent a few nights in the hospital under a heat lamp with a feeding tube. Once his weight increased and his feeding and body temp was much better we were able to take him home again. Thanks to South Lake Peds we were able to get my son the care he needed right away. I am grateful!

The staff is thorough, including a doctor calling us at home, on a holiday, to check on our daughter who had pneumonia. I especially appreciate that you can come in anytime for ReadyCare visits - because of course children don't get sick on a schedule. Expect to wait if you come in for one of these visits -- but it's much better than our old clinic, where we were not able to get in for unexpected issues. Front desk staff has always been pleasant and courteous, and the doctors are fantastic. And, you can even get a flu shot when you bring your children in to get theirs. Our children are now teenagers, and they still feel well cared-for and comfortable here.
