I made it to the back by the clearance rack before someone came out. She was nice; just kind of made me aware she was there but didn't stop to talk. The clearance rack is huge and over stuffed with items. They're overpriced. A t-shirt with a pocket and rhinestones shouldn't be on clearance for $24.97; especially when it's practically see through and short sleeved. That's $10-15 max. No thanks Torrid. Nice clothes but overpriced. Not enough specials for me to **update, as of 2/28, I never heard back from Torrid. That says a lot! **

My Daughter and I recently went to Torrid in Columbiana to find her some Flats. I normally wait…read moreoutside the store for her because it's kind of tight and hard to move around in . On my last visit the smell from the changing room was so bad I finally just left the store. On this visit the smell was better in the changing room but there was hair trash and dust all over the floor in every corner. Not a big deal but it really was gross . My daughter picked up her items and was preparing to checkout. The sales lady mention a buy one get one free deal that we had with one of our purchases, so my daughter went back to grab a free item. She brought back a bra and a t- shirt to show me. She couldn't decide which to get so the sales lady volunteered "why don't you get what you need most". My daughter said I need bras. The sales lady says "we'll get the bra." As I was looking at the bra I noticed that the material look very stretched and worn. I told my daughter she might not want to get that particular bra because it looked like it had been worn all ready . Even for a free bra it was in bad shape to me. My daughter agreed and went with the T-shirt. I guess the sales lady didn't like that I gave my opinion or that I criticized the item, either way her attitude immediately changed. She started directing all her comments to my daughter like I no longer existed. When it came time to pay she told us the amount and I pulled a Hundred dollar bill and tried to hand it to her. She ignored me for a bit and asked my daughter if she wanted to get a credit card and the answer was no. I'm still holding out the money and being ignored. This went on for a while so I finally withdrew the money and I told my daughter let's go this lady is rude and I'm not begging her to take my money. The lady comes back with " I was doing something else I didn't see your money. I can't do two things at once!" One: That's was a flat out lie I saw her look at the money and turn her head to continue talking to my daughter. Two: All she had to say was " sorry I didn't see your money there," and I would have gladly continued doing business with her. I normally don't write reviews. I knows customer service is a very hard and sometimes thankless job. I really try to go out of my way to be nice to those in the service industry. I've worked in customer service and the last thing you do is ignore the person who is doing the paying. I've had some good service in this store as well. But for the most part I avoid it and make my way to Layne Bryant.
