Not only did Tye execute my vision beyond my imagination, it was a COVER UP! A lot of artists refuse to touch or cover someone else's work, but when I reached out to Tye about a different tattoo during the consultation we both agreed that his work next to my current tattoo would make it look even more ugly than it already was. I wasn't for what I found, but I'm so glad I started following Self Made Tattoo Colorado two years ago and Tye moved back 6 months ago. I'm glad I was finally able to sit in sit in his chair. I also was able to get squeezed in by the life of the party piercer Mike! I got the 3rd piercing to complete a triple lobe and an orbitalin my left ear. Mike was able to get me in and out within 7 minutes! I'm so glad I found a tattoo artist who not only delivered beyond expectations, but was extremely transparent and wanted the art to speak for itself. I'm honored to have been pierced and tattooed in this dynamic environment. Definitely looking forward to more artwork to come!!!

The jewelry was also very low quality and WAY too short, as to why it was causing so much irritation and not even trying to heal. I do not recommend this place to get piercings done. I planned to get my collarbone tattooed and didn't want anyone who didn't have impeccable line work. So when I planned a trip to Colorado Springs I wanted to get him to tattoo me. Especially with the fact that with COVID it's been incredibly hard to find a tattoo artist whose books are open and they're good! He quoted me for our tattoos for my collarbone, two arm tattoos, my Viking Inguz and my cousin's Unalome and semi colon. They were all smaller tattoos but they were easy tattoos and an artist needs to be paid for their time! Also, being from Portland, his rates were absolutely fair. He also quoted me about $100 more than he charged me which was a bonus. He's super nice and friendly, which I never expect from an artist as most are quiet and reserved. He high fived me and said I did great after. Which I've never gotten (though I have loads of tattoos and lots of big ones I wuss out EVERY time I get new ink!) from any other artist. So thanks for your patience and kindness. You made is ridiculously easy to communicate via your Instagram and to make sure we were set for our appointment. We showed up and Moises got to work on designing my star and sun, originally I was going to have him copy another artist's designs but he is so good I wanted a stamp of his authentic work on my tattoos. I LOVE the sun and star he drew out. They're unique to anything else I have. My favorite thing about him was that he has a super light touch. I was NERVOUS AF about having my collarbone tattooed and it was pretty unremarkable as far as pain went. I'm not gonna lie my new sun hurt quite bad close to my elbow but it was small and easy. His style is so simple and beautiful. I really love all of my tattoos so much from today. If you're a tattoo virgin, I feel like he'd be perfect for you, since he has such a light touch. Steven did a wonderful job on my tattoo and I was very comfortable in the studio. He was very attentive if I needed a break or to stretch and I enjoyed a nice conversation with him.
