I was given great opportunities here, and the majority of the teachers were great. But, there were times when things got kind of dark and questionable. There were several times that I was beat with a paddle behind a closed door. I have a broken memory of being paddled and humiliated as 'an example'. In front of other children. I don't know if it was just me, but there was a teacher who would pinch me really hard on a daily basis. This was all for no reason. I was an extremely well behaved child and never looked for any trouble. There were two extremely misbehaved and loud mouthed boys that liked to blame things on me and while Beech Tree knew that I was innocent, they knew I wouldn't be loud about said punishments like the above-mentioned boys would be. I was quiet, and was good friends with Miss Heidi's family. But I am a man now and I honestly do not care what becomes of this review. I was diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome and ADHD in my first grade year, and towards the end of that school year my family was told that I could no longer attend Beech Tree. This was years ago, and I'm sure things are different now, but there were other things that were allowed to happen that I haven't mentioned, and I'm sure there always will be no matter where you send your children. But this place has a far from blameless history.

My Second Home has provided my son with a caring, stimulate, stable, educational, and a happy clean environment. It's an amazing feeling to be completely comfortable when sending your kids to school. They hire qualified caregivers that really do care. I started taking my som there when he was about 5 month old. My sons educational is very important to me. My son has learned and will continue to learn so much. My Second Home has truly been a blessing for me and my son. He loves going to school and he loves all of his teachers. You will not regret taking your kids here. I highly highly highly recommend My Second Home.

When issues were discussed there was no resolve or interest to do better for the safety of the children. There is a strong lack of communication between the owners and the classroom teachers. Business owners are alarmingly defensive when discussing issues and would rather lose your child as a student than work towards a better plan. Teachers are blasé and have no real passion for working with kids. I've been to child care facilities before where the teachers treat the children as their own and you can literally see the joy on their face when they're playing together. This facility lacks that joy.

When we walk in the door every morning, the positive energy is just exploding and the welcome from each and every employee is the best way to start our day. My son loves the teachers and thoroughly enjoys this facility. We toured several daycares when we were pregnant and found only two that we would even consider sending our child. I love that there are no screens for the kids, they have dedicated outdoor time everyday when the weather is nice, and there are cameras in the rooms for parents to peak in on their kids during the day. I never feel like we need the camera to make sure he's being treated correctly, but being able to see him playing and interacting with the other kids brings a lot of joy. The teachers send a daily report and there are nearly always photos. I'm so thankful we found such a wonderful place to provide childcare.
