They're always sharing news with us about my son's behavior or his needs (both opportunities and praises! which we appreciate). My son basically jumps out of my arms into Ms. Dixon's arms every morning, which makes me feel so good dropping him off every day knowing he looks forward to who he's spending his days with, and confirms to me he's in a loving and safe environment that he enjoys. My son at the ripe age of…read more2 years old and never having been in school before was expelled on his 3rd day of school for being able to open doors and was classified as a "flight risk". First of all, WHY was my son able to get out if he's being supervised. Secondly, why would you say you can't expect your teachers to run after a student when they're there for a reason. He's 2. He shouldn't be expected to act like a robot. He does not have adhd or anything of the sort to classify him as an "overly difficult" child. Another issue is, nobody could tell us specifics of why he was considered a flight risk other than opening the classroom door. First we were told y'all would give him 2 weeks to adjust to being in school then not even 8 hours later we were told by the end of the school week then the very next day it was, he's expelled. WILD behavior. Not to mention on his last day when I arrived to pick him up, he was being "disciplined" in the front office and I was never called or told he was up front. I lived 5 mins away and would have came to get him immediately instead of yall holding him in the front office. Again. He's TWO!! As a previous preschool teacher and someone who has talked with numerous other preschool teachers AND a child psychiatrist, we are ALL disgusted by the behavior and treatment towards my two year old child.

I was told there was availability and that I should come by and tour the school and pick up an application. Sweet! Oh until I mentioned that my daughter was in a wheelchair. ::record screeeeeech:: Then I was told there was actually a small wait list....it must have slipped the front office administrator's mind...but hey it happens. So we get on the wait list and call to check in from time to time only to be told "there's just one more child ahead of her" time and time again. After several months we talk directly with the owner and straight up ask her if there's an issue with my child being admitted because she's in a wheelchair. She assured us this was absolutely not the case and our child would be the very next one admitted once an opening became available. So TWO YEARS (because apparently this is the Harvard of after school care) go by and within that time we managed to find another place for her until that spot opens up. We actually let it go for a while since we found a nice program that had no issue with meeting her needs, and ultimately that's what we were looking for, but kept her on the list just in case. However today we randomly saw the owner again and asked her about it. She ACTUALLY said no child has been admitted in the LAST TWO YEARS. Like those words actually came out of her mouth. I don't know about you, but that sounds awfully suspicious. I'm bringing this up now in the hopes that they will take a look at themselves and ask what they are getting out of denying kids with disabilities. That and so they can thoroughly brush up on the rules and regulations of the ADA Act. We stayed until she was almost 3 but were already planning to leave due to high staff turnover, staff not helping us parents with potty training (using changing tables and diapers while we use the potty and underwear at home for example), and dirty bathrooms. I had let the director know we would be withdrawing. The day I did this, the unthinkable happened. The last straw and the day I took my child out for good was last week when I arrived to pick up my child (2 years old) and I found her ALONE IN A CLASSROOM. No adult anywhere nearby (none in the front or adjacent classrooms as all the classes were outside). Another parent witnessed this. My daughter told me "my friends left me" then said "a monster was going to get me" when I asked her what happened before she was left. I walked outside and found her class and teacher (as well as an ex teacher who was there visiting?) . When I confronted her teacher there was automatic lies about some person who wasn't even there and shouldn't have been alone with my child regardless. A bunch of excuses. The director was apologetic but the next day stated "she was only alone for 3 minutes" which even if that was true, was only because I showed up. I did report this center to the state and to corporate. This center was good once upon a time but needs major help. We will never use this center again.

After only a week he was like alright see y'all later! That was huge for us because the last school we attended he never wanted us to drop him off and leave. I had an issue with my app still showing me the old location we were at , I submitted tickets and called their help desk but it wasn't until I stopped at the front desk one afternoon and talked to Ms. Kaylee (might not be how you spell it but trust me they know who she is!). In about 5 minutes she was able to help me fix the same issue I had been reaching out for help with. So far it's been nothing but good things I highly recommend you get on their waiting list.
