We stayed until she was almost 3 but were already planning to leave due to high staff turnover, staff not helping us parents with potty training (using changing tables and diapers while we use the potty and underwear at home for example), and dirty bathrooms. I had let the director know we would be withdrawing. The day I did this, the unthinkable happened. The last straw and the day I took my child out for good was last week when I arrived to pick up my child (2 years old) and I found her ALONE IN A CLASSROOM. No adult anywhere nearby (none in the front or adjacent classrooms as all the classes were outside). Another parent witnessed this. My daughter told me "my friends left me" then said "a monster was going to get me" when I asked her what happened before she was left. I walked outside and found her class and teacher (as well as an ex teacher who was there visiting?) . When I confronted her teacher there was automatic lies about some person who wasn't even there and shouldn't have been alone with my child regardless. A bunch of excuses. The director was apologetic but the next day stated "she was only alone for 3 minutes" which even if that was true, was only because I showed up. I did report this center to the state and to corporate. This center was good once upon a time but needs major help. We will never use this center again.

Every one seemed average, and just like the rest. When we got to the Red School House, and took a quick tour, we were instantly aware of some, "above and beyond", going on. In the class our little one was going to be in, there were two tables full of very attentive boys and girls doing actual school work! Instantly we knew this was the place. Come to find out we had several friends/ and clients that rave about the school. The entire experience can be summed up into an observation that I made during the Christmas sing along. The staff was very into the whole process. Ambitiously singing in front of several dozen parents and relatives takes a lot of posture, but imagine the dedication it took for them to teach all of those songs to the kids. Our little one has been singing Holiday songs all month long. But the thing that got me was one of the children came late. As he walked up, one of the teachers while in mid song called his name, gave him a quick hug, and said, "I love you", in a very genuine way, then went right back into it. THAT.... is the type of people I want my child around.

I would like to share the letter that I forwarded to the Saint Johns school district…read moreso maybe one day things can change: "Good morning, we live in Ponte Vedra Beach exactly 2 miles from Ocean Palms Elementary School but to not lose my job (no after care) we were obligated to move her to Flagler Charter School and now I'm driving around 30 minutes to my daughter to go to school with after care available. We've tried all the private schools around our home without spots. Nicole was adapting well and loving the school and the After care and school administrators didn't bother even to answer Yes or No after 6 months trying waitlist and several phone calls and e-mails. The last time Ms Kim LaMondie answered "At this time we are on a waitlist. We will be sure to put Nicole on the list. I will reach out to you as soon as we open our waitlist." was on Jan/23/2023 and since then we didn't have any responses after several times trying contact. So, to not lose my job I was obligated to change my daughter to somewhere with after care. Now we drive very far every day for school. I don't think this is fair to us and our daughter always cries missing her neighborhood friends and the school - It looks like we are out of the social neighborhood now even though we live right there. We hope this situation can change because we are very unhappy to not be able to study around our home and to be excluded from the social around there for this reason. There have been several instances of miscommunication from leadership with our family. Even more concerning, is the notable leadership turnover in such a short period of time. Unfortunately there is not a standard practice in place for routine class transitions which allow children of the same age an equal opportunity to access all learning tools which the school prides itself on. It's extremely disappointing to see such obvious stagnation and regression in our child's classroom engagement and learning for what appears to be the sake of appeasing incoming families on waitlists or special circumstances. I do hope moving forward the school is able to put in place more concrete class groupings so that all children are afforded an equal opportunity to engage and excel in their pivotal early learning years with the developmentally appropriate materials and tools the school has to offer.

The aggression stems from them not knowing how to use their words. He had behavioral therapists there with him everyday and he was only at this school for four days before they kicked out a special needs child! A normal non special needs child takes a week to transition to a new place....a child on the spectrum takes at least two weeks maybe three. The owner did not allow that. The teachers have no training on how to handle and teach a child on the spectrum at all. The owner also LIED and said the behavioral therapists sat and let my son hit and kick the teacher and they ignored it. TOTAL LIES!! I have the proof from the notes that they have to put in every week from the sessions. So the owner lied to me, the teacher lied also. I called the ADA and was told what they did violated the ADA act and to file a complaint. I have filed a complaint with the ADA. This place needs to be shut down for good. They are horrible. They also wanna charge almost $1200 a month you have to pay on the 1st of every month and they don't provide lunch, you have to provide lunch for your child and they wanna charge that much. Basically a daycare for rich snobby people!

They're always sharing news with us about my son's behavior or his needs (both opportunities and praises! which we appreciate). We've been sending out child to Primrose for 2 years now and are very pleased with the quality of care received. Getting in: There is a length wait list because this is quite a popular school. I recommend signing up as soon as you find out you're expecting if this is the school you want to go to. We signed up at 6 months pregnant and had a year wait list. Our child was able to start in their Infant 2 class and is currently in their toddler 4 class. Fees: There's no way around this. It's expensive. This is a quality daycare. The facility is in immaculate condition. There are lots of toys in each of the classes. There are several great playground on site as well as a splashpad. Tuition includes 2 meals and 3 snacks daily. Parents are served breakfast and snack once a week. Staff: The staff are great at this location! The turnover is very low and most of the teachers that we've had in the last 2 years are still there. I think this speaks to the quality of the school, helps to justify and price, and the work environment for the staff.
