We LOVE it here. All of the teachers are so great with our daughter. The communication is amazing. I love the pictures I get throughout the day, updates, and daily sheets that give me an overview of her potty,sleep, and snacks. Also, the food here is GREAT. Luciana loves sitting down with her new friends and enjoying different breakfast and lunch options. Do not send your child here. We attended this daycare with our daughter from Oct 2022-August 2023. All positive reviews are prior to the new owner. The new owner only cares about the money and if you bring any issues/concerns up to her, you become the problem and are treated in a very hostile manner. Every month there was an additional fee for "catering" or "misc." we never once paid the agreed upon rate and we're constantly up charged for expenses which were never disclosed to us. During our time we watched all of our daughter's infant teachers leave, her two toddler teachers quit and multiple other teachers left as well. The new staff she has hired are constantly on their phones and are unfriendly to parents and the students. We witnessed a child left outside unattended and no report was ever filed as well as teachers yelling at older students. Our daughter and 2 other girls all started saying "hurt" and referencing their private parts. Do not under any circumstance send your child here if you care about their health and safety. read more

Goddard: Off 138th street in Olathe (right by Walmart) This particular location and this particular Goddard is absolutely amazing! I went through plenty of day cares, both corporate and in home in the Olathe area and always came back to this one. The staff is very welcoming. EVERYDAY you will get a very DETAILED report of your child's day. It is academically appropriate and you can tell that your child will be loved and taken care of in a safe and secure learning environment! read more

If I could give this daycare a lower rating than a 1, I would. If you are interested in taking your child to a daycare that has nothing good to say about your child and tears down there self-esteem this is the place for you! My grandson has been attending this daycare for a few years now and has had multiple issues with multiple teachers. My daughter and son in law have been made to feel their son is a bad kid. They have went up and talked to the director and teachers to try and come up with ideas to "help." He does not act the way they claim he does at home or when he is with anyone else. When he was 3 yrs old he came home and told his parents his teacher got upset with him and told him she was going to whoop his butt with a belt. This is not a term they have ever used! When they went to the daycare to discuss this with the director, the teacher Ms. Jess admitted she had said this to him. She tried to say she wasn't going to do it she told him his parents would do it. Either way....THIS SHOULD NEVER BE TOLD TO A 3 YEAR OLD!!! He is now 4 and in a new classroom. He came home yesterday and told his parents he can never do anything right that Ms. Abegail called him a baby and told him "he needed to get his life together." Both of these things he came home saying are not things he would know to say if they hadn't been said to him. This little boy is full of energy and ornery just like many his age but he is in NO WAY a bad kid. It breaks my heart that he goes somewhere that is supposed to be a loving, safe place while his parents are at work and is treated so poorly!! If these "teachers" feel this way about kid they need to look into getting a job elsewhere!! This is a daycare enistien...a place you should work only if you care about kids!!! A 4 year old should never feel so bad about themselves at this age and feel they cannot do anything right. I understand kids need to follow rules and learn for when they get to school but I also understand tearing a child down like they have and continue to do is NOT ACCEPTABLE!! My daughter has talked with a few friends whom have children his age and have found they know of people with similar issues at this daycare. He will NOT be going back and I suggest you do your research before putting your child in their care!! read more

Our daughter has been attending the Goddard School since September 2019 and we love it. The staff is nice and welcoming, and our little one is happy there! I will definitely recommend this school to any parents who would like peace of mind knowing that their child/children is/are in good hands when they drop them off at daycare. read more

We moved to Olathe in January 2015 with our son, who has always been in a small in-home daycare. My son was also extremely shy and introverted and would nearly have anxiety attacks when being around people he didn't know. We put him in Goddard School once he turned 2, and about a week and a half later our son was a completely different child. He would wave to people he would see walking by, he would look you in the eyes when he talked to you, he just blossomed. We have now been at Goddard School in Olathe for 6 months now and I am just amazed at how much he has learned. He comes home from school telling me about what new yoga poses they did in class, what new sign they learned in sign language, and he even talks about Miss Lily (a fabulous woman who comes around to the classes each week and teaches Spanish). Miss Rachel is his classroom teacher, and she does the best activities with the kids and can really keep these 2-year-olds engaged. I honestly don't know how she does it. Besides the outstanding curriculum the kids learn on a daily basis, they also incorporate life skills and manners. My son now washes his hands before and after every meal, says please and thank you, and will clear his plate when he is done eating. And I can't forget to mention the amazing menu the children get to eat from. They have an in-house cook that makes everything from scratch, and the food is so nutritious. So I know my boy is getting healthy meals when he is at school. One of my favorite things about Goddard School is the daily report. They email you an electronic daily report sheet after you pick your child up at the end of the day. You know exactly what they ate that day, how many times his/her diaper was changed and the status of that. The daily curriculum is also included, and a few pictures each day is also on there. You never have any question about what your child did that day, it also sparks up some fun conversations with your child that evening on what they did at school. I know my child is getting the best possible care at Goddard School. They have the friendliest staff and teachers, and my son absolutely LOVES coming to school every day. I would 100% recommend Goddard School in Olathe to anyone who is looking for more than just a daycare holding cell for their child. At Goddard School, my child is getting an education, social interaction, and building a strong foundation of his character that will shape him into a well rounded human being. I enrolled at this Goddard School because it was basically one of the only places with an infant spot within the time frame I needed - and then I became aware how great it actually was. While the facility could do with a little cosmetic facelift, the people who work there go above and beyond to help you out. They also have a great curriculum and my infant daughter actually got to experience many different activities, from sign language to exploring materials while being somewhat "helped" to create art masterpieces (at least in mommy's eyes) at 4 months of age. They make their day so diverse and fun and I just knew that my little one was being well-cared for since she always broke into the biggest smiles when she saw the staff upon her arrival in the mornings. I had the chance to scale back at work and work part-time, so I actually decided to move my little one to another daycare which was quite close to this school and that offered part-time care (unfortunately Goddard does not offer that for infants). They had a beautiful facility and their security system was quite interesting, but once my little one was there, I absolutely did not like it. Their curriculum is practically non existent for infants. At Goddard my little one had books read to her, learned sign language, explored materials, textures and had great interactions with other babies. The teachers really taught my little one things. None of this happened at the new daycare. At the end of week 1 at the new daycare I actually got in touch with Betsy Allen, the owner of this Goddard School and asked whether my little one could return there. She was great and we were able to work something out. I'm glad that my little one will be returning to this awesome place, where I felt that not only was she watched, but she was also loved and taught important lessons while - she may be young to retain much, she is at least being exposed to different activities and possibilities! read more

My 3 children were at The Goddard on Blackbob for 6 years and I can't say enough wonderful things about Goddard. The people who work here are outstanding, are kind and involved and made it feel like family was watching my children. Even years later we still keep in contact with many of the staff there and some of them even babysit for us. The owners, Sadab and Muhammed, are extremely thoughtful and invested in ensuring top quality childcare is provided at all times. They were also very receptive to feedback along the way. My son has been going to the Goddard school and it has been nothing but great my son has learned and progressed over the years. I'm always so surprised when he comes home and tells me all the things he learned. They have an amazing curriculum that is adjusted to the kids learning capabilities the teacher turnover rate is so low. It's a very close family environment and would highly recommend this school. They also have extra curricular activities such as soccer and gym bus which makes him even more excited about school everyday. read more

This school was truly a warm inviting place for my family until about a year ago when a handful of staff decided to leave, Ms. Lynsey had a way of making everyone who walked into her school smile and feel important, Ms. Juli and Ms. Amy were hands down the best two teachers any of my children have had yet. Those key three left and it has never recovered. The communication was gone, the friendly welcomes were gone, my questions never could be answered by Ms. Christie who would never give me the time of day. It was very clear why that school was so great and I'm so disappointed that this school lost the 3 people who made a difference. read more

I would not enroll my child at this location ever again. The office staff is very friendly. However, my son was moved to the preschool classroom and had Ms. Ellen. She had no classroom management. She also did not talk very nice to the students and you could see her frustration on a daily basis. I thought that I was placing my son in a quality and loving center; however, that was not the case. I gave two stars because the my son was in Ms. Julie's class for a few months before being moved. Ms. Julie is very sweet with the kids, has a calm demeanor and had classroom management skills. However, I do not recommend this Goddard School. read more
