What can I say? IT IS MY DREAM PRESCHOOL! I wish I could have gone there as a child! I might forget something, but let`s start. My almost 4-year-old daughter has been attending since February. The school`s concern with security go beyond all schools I have ever visited. Having two doors, one that opens for everybody and one that only opens for caregivers make a big difference to me. That besides the outside cameras and fact that is not common to find the reception empty leaves us in peace. The fact that there are only main teachers is also something I have never seen, which has a huge impact since I know how quickly teacher assistants come and go, and how confusing that is even for the assistant teachers themselves. Both teachers, Miss Sam and Miss Angela are so lovely! I cannot imagine anything bad that can be said about them. During the online sessions, I see all the patience they have with students. My daughter is not fluent in English because we speak another language at home asnd she has not been in preschool for too long. She does not feel pressured by them. My daughter also takes a long time to do everything, but the tecahres do not keep rushing her. Moreover, they have changed the format of the sessions when they realized it could be improved. That shows great sensitivity and flexibity. Not to mention the content they choose to teach is awsome! I also forgot to mention that once my daughter made a mess trying to poop in the toilet at school for the first time. She had never pooped in school. I was embarrassed when I arrived at school and saw Miss Sam helping taking off her a little dirty underwear, but she was very helpful and calm. I love the structure of the school, all the resources they have! They have basically all the resources I wished my daughter could play with to explore her learning possibilities! The playground is colorful, appealing for kids, but safe. The outside space is big enough. What is more,the grass is artificial, which is a relief from bugs and kids throwing sand on my daughter`s eyes, (this has happened before, and I know itr is normal). As someone who is concerned with what my daughter eats, I like being able to send her food from home. Most importantly, my daughter has loved it from day one! We moved to Winter Park over the summer and began our first daycare search. After touring several in the immediate area, I was having a hard time finding a place I was comfortable with leaving my son for the first time. Goddard was the last place I toured and I fell in love. This was going to be the first time I was leaving my son in other peoples hands and I did not take the task of researching and touring lightly. Cleanliness, communication, safety and genuine warmth and caring were my priorities - and this place checked and continues to check these boxes and more. I love that the facility is new and functions as more of a school with actual classrooms rather than just an old house with makeshift dividers jamming all the kids into one space. As a former teacher, I also deeply love that they are a curriculum based center rather than just a daycare. My son has now been with Goddard for 5 months and his level of communicated with us, language development, fine motor and gross motor skills have increased exponentially. Every week we are amazed at the new skills he is learning, the amount of activities he gets to participate in and how social he has become. I am beyond happy that I chose Goddard. I truly feel like myself and my son are part of a family. As a very anxious new mom, Goddard eases all of worries. I also love that they communicate throughout the day with an app that shows pictures of what is going on in the classroom and a full report is sent when I pick him up that goes into detail about his eating, naps, behavior and goals learned. Just to note also - all kids get sick at daycare - it's very normal and any pediatrician will tell you that it takes 4-6 months for them to build up an immunity to it, but it's the responsibility of the PARENT to keep your child home if they are sick, it is not up to the school to diagnose your child (and that goes for schools at any level). In the few cases that my son showed any symptoms, they were very prompt about bringing him to the office, taking his temperature and keeping him away from other kids until I could come get him. They do this will all kids. All in all, I couldn't be happier with our choice to send our son here, the teachers are truly wonderful, warm, and care for him as if he were their own. read more

This school is not all it's cracked up to be. They're new (just made a year) and so they are still working out the kinks. If you want to deal with an arrogant, unprofessional owner (Scott) who employs staff who are as careless and unprofessional as he is then this is the place for your child. The reviews are fake and written by Oviedo Goddard School staff and their family members. We decided to withdraw our child as we no longer wanted her to participate as one of their "test subjects". A more attentive, compassionate, nurturing and professionally run facility was better for us. This place is a sh*t show at best, very substandard and subpar. The building is new so it shows well but what goes on inside ain't all that great. They'd be better off turning this place into a doggy daycare or kennel. My only regret is that we didn't pull our daughter out sooner and that it took us longer to realize who these people truly were. Be prepared to have your child sick often as they don't seem to enforce a sick policy. Seeing kids in my daughter's class with yellow-greenish snot oozing from their nose was a regular occurrence. They're so worried about getting their VPK attendance supplement and other attendance based funding( money) each month from the government that they allow sick kids to remain in attendance. Be prepared to deal with this and stock up on cold meds, Kleenex and antibiotics. I can go on and on but won't so Choose Wisely. Know this facility is new and some of these people caring for your children are just looking to get a check until something better comes along. Look into facilities that have been around awhile that have earned a reputation in the community and not one with fake 5 star ratings written by staff and their family. These people will smile in your face, nod and pretend to be concerned with your concerns but who won't actually follow through to address your concerns. Your child is just a paycheck for them and this is their main concern. You will soon realize they they are not mentally or professionally equipped to deal with your concerns. Just drop your kid off, don't ask them too many questions, pull off and you'll be fine. Their "open door policy" is for the deaf, blind and mute! read more

We sincerely appreciate The Goddard School of Oviedo, with all the leaders, teachers, and support staff. Everyone has been extremely caring, helpful, and professional over the past two years as first my older child then both of my children attended the school. The curriculum is developmentally appropriate at all levels, with amazing summer sessions, and with the kindness and caring from all teachers and staff, my children have loved going here. During this stressful time as we all navigate our new lives during COVID-19, the school remained open for children who needed care as it adheres to various health, safety, and educational guidelines. For children who could stay at home, there are daily Zoom sessions (morning and afternoon) in which they can continue their education and keep in touch with their teachers and friends. Offering such online experiences is very unique especially with the little ones. All sessions are developmentally appropriate, fun, and engaging. All teachers are able to assess children's attention and change activities if needed and they do this with grace and the highest professionalism. If you want both an incredible educational experience and a loving atmosphere for your children, The Goddard School should be your only choice. Since we moved both of our children here, they have thrived in all areas. Scott, the owner, is onsite every day to assist Ms. Kelley (director) and Ms. Jasmyn (assistant director), but does not micromanage their leadership at all. Our son is absolutely in love with Ms. Ruth and Ms. Jen. My daughter thrives with the balance Ms. Danielle and Ms. Naimatu brings to her classroom. I am especially impressed with how The Goddard School has handled the Covid-19 situation. Scott has been both understanding and innovative, offering virtual education options to families that has worked out great for even the youngest children. read more

I just have to say, Goddard is AMAZING! It's been my daughters first year in school and I have been so worry free. I truly feel like they treat the children like family. They have an app that allows you to see pictures of your child during the day which is my favorite. My daughter has been learning so much and has come a long ways Academically. I love that they are super clean and take precautions appropriately. I would recommend Goddard School in Oviedo to everyone. This school is seriously as good as it gets. I've had my little ones in 3 different daycares/schools so far, and they are only 2 & 3 yrs old and Goddard Oviedo is the only one I have felt 100% comfortable with. I am able to drop them off and have a stress free day. No need to worry. Goddard is the CLEANEST place you'll find in Oviedo for your little one and the teachers are by far the key to their success! I have loved every single teacher I've met! Barely any teacher turnover and if you are a mama of a little one, you know how important that is and how hard it is to find. When looking for the right daycare Goddard at Oviedo is the best. Not only, they have a great staff the learning experience is also wonderful. The school is very clean. My daughter looks forward to seeing Miss Aaliyah and talks about her and the activities she had learned from school all day. I recommend this school it's not just a daycare of singing and play the education is very hands on which is what I was looking for. We have had our daughter enrolled at Goddard since she was 3 months old. The support and attention from the teachers Ms Mandy and Ms Sue made us feel good leaving our little one at daycare! Makenzie is now in the 1 year old room with Ms Shea and Ms Kiana and she gets so excited to see all her teachers and play! The administration team has been awesome with communication, especially during the pandemic. They stayed open and took many measures to assure safety. I love how I can leave my daughter and not worry if she's ok! Scott and Kelly are very nice and understanding people. Her teachers are very sweet.
