A year ago was the last time I was late, and one of the manager daycare provided told me I had to pay $1 per minute I was late. I made no issue, even though this was never discussed prior, and I paid the amount in cash. This daycare worker took my money and gave no receipt and made no effort to give me the change. She simply said that she would start a tab with the change, which was significant. Highly unprofessional. A year later, recently, I was late again. I was asked to pay the late fee, and I mentioned that I actually have a running balance from about a year ago. The owner looked up that it showed me paying a late fee about a year ago, corroborating this, and the daycare worker even admitted that I had given more than the balance owed, but they told me an amount that was NOT accurate or correct, and had NO records to show otherwise. The owner had made no additional comments to me, but then I hear her talking poorly of me to my daughter's mom and asking her to pay a late fee of mine, knowing FULL well at this point that I had a running balance that wasn't documented at all, let alone professionally. I give customers credits of hundreds and even thousands for the sake of customer satisfaction, but to be that petty over what can't even pay for a meal anywhere? Just unreal. The daycare had also asked for me to give a schedule for my daughter, after one had already been provided by my daughter's mother, who enrolled her. I gave a full description of the days I have her and don't via email. They said this wasn't good enough, and wanted it on a calendar. I provided this to them in writing and they said, it STILL wasn't good enough, and they wanted me to send a calendar electronically. I asked for a menu for what my daughter was eating there, and I wasn't given one for MONTHS. I frequently call in, and nobody is at the office to accept the call. Once, I had called in numerous times, until someone picked up, and this daycare worker told me she had to abandon her children in order to answer the phone, and therefore wasn't willing to abandon them again, to go upstairs to check to see if my daughter was in! Which is against NYS regulations btw, to not only have the proper staffing, but also a head staffing person with a degree, who can float around and answer phone calls. They've also made comments that they have had less teachers than legally allowed on buses for field trips. They've also complained about a friend's son for being too hyper when it was made known ahead of time that they had ADHD. They make this same complaint about my daughter's brother to her mother. When I was using the app, I was often told my other parents of events that were never told to me, which resulted in my daughter not being able to participate in activities, due to not having a swimsuit or towel and such. I've never dealt with a daycare so unprofessional, talking behind your back as well as just plain violating all sorts of NYS mandates. They're one call away from the department of labor from being shut down.

They keep us up to date throughout the day with pictures, videos and food logs. They address all our needs in a timely fashion. We have been very pleased . The facility is not high tech or "state of the art", but I am in no frills parent. My greatest concern is that my children are comfortable, educated and well cared for and all of their needs are met at this daycare. Also, full time cost is the best around for what is included .

Mindfulness is practiced here among students and teachers alike. Yes, students do chores. That is one of the tenets of the Montessori way, and one main reason why I chose Trinity. Kids are taught to be civil with each other, to be responsible, to learn practices associated with real life in addition to the usual disciplines, such as math, writing, reading, etc. The approach at Trinity is to nourish the whole person with kindness, patience while imbibing a sense of responsibility to the whole classroom. I am extremely disappointed with the care my son received at this daycare…read more My son has behavioral challenges, and I was the one who initiated discussions about creating a Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) to help him succeed. During the meeting, I left feeling hopeful that we finally had a plan in place, especially since the daycare agreed to the strategies outlined. Unfortunately, once behaviors occurred, many of those agreed-upon interventions were not consistently implemented. Instead of following the plan, situations were often allowed to escalate until my son was ultimately terminated from the program. Throughout our time there, I frequently felt that my son was viewed as a problem rather than a child who needed support. I was expected to provide incentives and workbooks for staff to use because the daycare did not have appropriate resources available. I was regularly informed when my son injured another child, but there were multiple occasions when I was not informed about injuries my own child sustained. I was also concerned by some staff interactions. On one occasion, a teacher took my son's paper, crumpled it up, and threw it away in front of him, which only escalated an already difficult situation rather than helping to de-escalate it. There were too many children for the number of staff available, and I did not see evidence that staff had adequate training to support children with significant behavioral needs. It often felt as though any unexplained issue or injury involving another child was automatically assumed to be my son's fault. What was most frustrating was being told that the daycare could not accommodate my child after agreeing to a behavior plan that was never fully implemented. The final comment that they would "pray we find a placement" felt especially dismissive after months of struggling to get the agreed-upon support in place. Parents of children with behavioral or additional support needs should carefully consider whether this program is equipped to provide the accommodations and interventions it promises. While I understand that not every daycare can meet every child's needs, I expected honesty about those limitations from the beginning rather than assurances that support would be provided and then not consistently delivered.

Parenting is a lifetime subscription, but we often enroll children in daycare with the unspoken (or it seems in this case with highly spoken) expectations of hoping trained staff will "straighten out" difficult behavior. While daycare can be a valuable environment for social growth, it is not a miracle cure for deep-seated behavioral issues. Expecting daycare workers to single-handedly transform a child's manners, attitude, or respect for authority is not only unrealistic--it's unfair to both the staff, the child in question, as well as the other children in the classroom. High-quality daycare centers provide structured routines, opportunities for social interaction, and exposure to early learning. Skilled caregivers can model positive behavior, encourage cooperation, and set boundaries. However, their influence is limited by time, context and capacity. A child spends only part of the day in daycare; the rest of their environment--especially at home--has a far greater impact on long-term behavior. Outsourcing children's behavioral challenges hoping it comes with a "90-day fix my kid" guarantee often comes with great disappointment. Teachers and staff are not miracle workers and are tasked to in helping a classroom of many children thrive in a happy, healthy and safe environment. Soft disciplinary tactics and gentle redirecting always sound better within intervention plans, but in reality, administrators have to take into account their teachers and the other children's safety and mental wellbeing. Sounds like this center took the welfare of their teachers and other families seriously and recognized that some cases call for more specialized and intensive behavioral care as well as parental support and guidance. Putting a childcare center on blast with a negative review doesn't seem to fill the void. Perhaps a more productive use of time would be to have the root causes of inappropriate behavior further explored or perhaps finding therapeutic parental support will help with caring forward. The staff is very helpful when we have questions about schedules and activities. We take advantage of the child drop off which allows us to workout and gives our kids something to do. They have daily drop off times which is helpful. We also enjoy the pool and hot tub, as well as the ability to go to any other YMCA in the area and use their facilities. It is a great value for our family of 5 and while we have only been members for a month, we look forward to our weekly visits and it has become part of our routine.

She didn't answer my two phone calls. This is a woman who watched my children for 10 weeks and I thought was a good partner in child care. She made us wait (and wonder) for 3 full days without an explanation. So, while her program may be amazing, she may dump you without a reason. Then ignore you while you try to find out what happened.
