Talk about holding something ransom, clean your room or no 4-H Camp; you better get good grades or no 4-H Camp; what, you want to talk back to your parents ... It works, for the most part. Both of my daughters have been attending the 4-H Camp for two years and we have been doing some extra curricular activities there for four years also. This is one of the best summer camps that I have ever seen or been a part of and I believe that my daughters would agree with me. If you want or need something all you have to do is ask and if they can accommodate you they will. Anthony, the camp director, ensures that safety and fun are the top priority once you arrive. I'm not sure how much has changed over the years but it was easily one of the best weeks of my life. I learned archery, kayaking, canoeing & embossing. At the time, you could pay $5.00 and choose to make any craft that they had to offer; I still have a wooden dog I painted (if you press it's nose it plays music) and it was the first time I ever participated in a scavenger hunt. The camp grounds were always kept very clean, the staff was amazing and it was nice to see that the property is exactly as I left it. I attended a wedding here today & would recommend Camp Whitewood to anyone looking for an affordable & alternative wedding venue. Although our friends explained to us that you cannot have alcohol unless you rent all six buildings but this didn't ruin our evening. The building they choose had two bathrooms, a decent sized kitchen, a large stage & plenty of room for eating & dancing. Younger children might be bored as there isn't a playground; however, you can enjoy a fire pit or a stroll through the woods. All the buildings, with the exception of the cabins, are handicap accessible . There's also plenty of parking in a secluded area surrounded by nature. So weather you're considering hosting your next event here or having your children stay for a week or two; Camp Whitewood is the place to be!

He really seems to enjoy and get a lot out of these one week classes. We used to have to take him to different locations were ever classroom antics could rent space. They now have a permanent location in North Royalton which is close to the house. The instructors are very knowledgeable and excellent at explaining the technologies to the kids. These classes are also reasonably priced.

It was her first time being away from home for more than a night, so we were both a little nervous. She said she was homesick for one night and by the next morning she was busy riding horses, trying new things and making new friends! By the last day, she didn't want to leave. She actually cried because she had made such amazing memories and wanted to stay longer. As a parent, it was so heartwarming to see her gain confidence and independence while being surrounded by such amazing staff and a positive environment. Falcon Camp truly gave her a summer she'll never forget, and she's already planning on going back this year for the full summer. Best overnight camp ever!

Our group was staying in the main house and we were in one of the upstairs rooms. It was about what I was expecting. Three bunk beds. The one negative is that it was HOT in there. It would have been great to have a fan, The food was delicious (noodles and ground beef, sausage/egg casserole and chili). A highlight for me was the hayride. Probably because we all had a chance to be together and it was a nice long ride The only reason I didn't give them five stars was because they couldn't accommodate larger riders. I totally understand that they are live animals and can't take excessive weight. But it was still disappointing that I wasn't able to join my daughter for the ride.
