Golden Leaf has a great selection of sticks! I started coming here back in 2014, when a coworker's son worked here. Since then, I have seen the selection grow and watched them expand to multiple locations. The prices are good and they usually have what I'm looking for 99% of the time. I also like the fact that I get a discount for being a Veteran. They also have a lounge and usually have the tv turned to a sporting event. Check them out if you're in the area! read more

Love this cigar store and lounge. The pipe selection is nice and interesting. Obviously the prices of the sticks vary depending upon many factors. I pulled some vanilla flavored sticks and some super smooth Perdomo sticks. The owner is extremely knowledgeable about his trade. The store has a new owner in 2025; and he has made many GREAT improvements to this wonderful smoking lounge. He has made some change changes to the sales area with many new brands of fine hand rolled cigars and there are full ... NO EMPTY SHELF SPACE and had ADDED MORE stand alone humidors for even more of a selection. He has brought in some of the best personal Humidors by Savory; so he now has added a bigger selection of humidors to sell for a person to purchase right there a... and purchase as a gift or personal use at home. Great atmosphere, it was a little bust before with many chairs that were not in working order: but he has changed that, along with a fresh paint upgrade. He has brought in many new lines/manufactures of cigars while keeping all of the established standby and industry favorites that were there. Lots of great industry boutique cigars that increases the selection of what's there to smoke. The ventilation is great and has been updated this year, various areas to sit with groups ... even a private room that has a conference table sitting 6 to 8 (there is other conference table in the general lounge area too.) people with a TV and private bathroom in that room. He has added new later hours till 8 pm, check the website for exact hours. The big thing besides the DRAMATIC INCREASE in cigar selection; the PRICING HAS BEEN DROPPED as much as $5.00 a cigar. The service was fantastic, had an issue with pricing in Chesterton compared to Hobart and they made it right, right away. Wow, this place has certainly done a 180 since my first visit. It is warm, welcoming, and has an adequate, although not extensive selection of cigars, as well as a nice variety of all the doo-dads a cigar smoker needs. Most of the time when I go into a lounge I don't want to partake in a bunch of conversation, and there are more than enough seating areas where I can disappear into the furniture (no easy task) and just sit and enjoy my cigar. If I lived closer, this might just become my favorite lounge pretty quickly. As it is, visiting when I am in the area will have to suffice. My last couple of visits, albeit over a year apart, have been made memorable by John, who clearly pours his heart and soul into his job. He is knowledgeable, helpful, and treats everyone who enters as if they were the most important customer in the world. He is, without a doubt, the store's biggest asset. read more

Wow, this store is amazing. The cigar selection is excellent, and their lounge is spacious and relaxing. First time I ever stepped into this store was late on a week night. After searching for this store and getting lost, I finally found it a bit after their closing time. Luckily, the gentleman working there at the time was nice enough to let me in and showed me around. When you first walked into the store, all you see are cigars. The popular catalog brands are sitting in front of the cash register and in a cabinet next to the register. As you look around in the store, there are different accessories displayed and a large coffee maker in the back. The humidor is stocked with excellent cigars, and they are being well kept with the humidifier running regularly. The lounge is in the back of the store. Comfortable sofas and high-back chairs all around. There is also a large TV on the wall. The unique thing about this lounge is that there is a pool table, which is a big plus for me. This is an excellent lounge to smoke cigars, relax, and hang out with friends. I would recommend this location to everybody. read more

Also if you are in Michigan City they have a store right by the outlet mall. The owner has revamped the store completely. ***revised*** so I recently came back to this place to give it another shot and the issue that I experienced with the previous employee that was rude and condescending has disappeared. That employee is no longer with the company to my knowledge. I'm so glad that this place has taken the right actions to make this a more welcoming environment for their customers. I used to drive 15 miles further to go to a different cigar lounge because I refuse to give business to this company, but the environment here is great and the service is exceptional now. I'm very glad that they took consumer feedback in order to improve the company. read more

Very good selection even on more rare cigars! Not sure what others are talking about service. My first time here and John was an incredibly gracious, attentive, and knowledgeable host. Its a Diamond Crown shop. Very rare-especially in Indiana. When you get past the smarmy dude ( nice hair) who works days, the selection is very nice. Looks like a great place, but for some reason, I think if you had a badge, it would be alot friendlier. I've been in there a few times and always got sideways looks because I wasnt 'from here'. Wish they would remember that a smoke shop should be social as well- not only an FOP- especially a Diamond Crown. I will keep trying local shops looking for new customers and go here when I need a nice cigar at a decent price and smoke it where these cliquey Super Troopers aren't giving me crooked stares. Just make sure your car registrations are in order if you do smoke here. 10-4 Hobart Indiana. Must admit, though,the selection is great for such a small humidor. Same as in Michigan City. read more

I love the Golden Leaf. The shop is well organized and has a wide variety and the walk in humidor is very nice. I'm not a huge cigar smoker but every once in awhile when certain friends are in town we venture here and pick a couple up. Much better then the discount smoke shops haha. read more

This place is top notch, the cigar selection is huge the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They encourage you to hang out in the lounge which has big screen televisions, a pool table, leather couches and a true man cave atmosphere. Although they cant sell you a glass of scotch, because they don't have a liquor license you may bring your own bottle and enjoy it in there lounge. I frequently go here about once a week for a smoke.
