We don't normally do buffets but we thought we would give it a try. (They have a menu you can order from too). The buffet has a good selection of different dishes in small portions so everything stays fresh. The food isn't too greasy and has good flavor. We thought is was good, solid Chinese food. Quite possibly my favorite restaurant in the Flint area. My wife and I don't get to go out too often, but this is the place we've been going to since we were dating and it's never failed to be excellent. The favorite dishes here are the Mongolian Beef and the Hoi Sin Sauce Chicken. Both are awesome enough that we get full orders of both so that we have tons of leftovers to take home. I eat in expensive restaurants all the time but this probably the best American-style Chinese I've had in a long time. Don't get dissuaded by the "truck stop" exterior appearance or the dated decor of the dining room. The quality is great (nothing is greasy), the food portions are incredible and the service is always great. Best Chinese in Flint. I went in today for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. I didn't realize the buffet didn't start until 5 (arrived about 20 minutes til 5) but they said the could get it started early which was really nice. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive as well. As far as the food... I will Probably not be going anywhere else in Flint for Chinese, someone has been passing down recipes for awhile to get this. The Orange Chicken was Amazing, so was the Almond Chicken. Stay away. We clearly ordered a dish, and were given the wrong one. When we notified the employee, we were told the correct dish would be made. No dish was ever brought out. When asked where our food was we were told no new dish was being made and we needed to pay or the cops would be called. And being told the waitress was new, what should we expect. I expect to get what we ordered! Not pay for something we didn't. Not to mention the salty egg roll and the egg drop soup that looked like pure cornstarch. We will never go back. So I had this place last year at a catered bridal shower and it was pretty good. So I decided to order take out Sunday August 31st 2014. I got the orange chicken with fried rice minus veggies, and my husband got the general chicken with regular fried rice. Well my orange chicken was NOT what I was expecting. It was REALLY zesty and had actually chunks of orange rind in it.... I've never experienced this in orange chicken, nor do I ever want to again... I don't know why they think it'd be tasty to include this in the recipe--because it's NOT!!! I ate like 2 bites of it, and tried to manage a 3rd.. it wasn't happening. My rice was OK- but very greasy. My husband's general chicken was better than the orange chicken- but only better in a way that it was manageable to force down. I will not be returning here and feel that I wasted a good $17 that I could have taken to WING GARDEN in Flushing; where they actually know what they're doing!!! I was completely grossed out by this place. I came with a friend for lunch and the lights were very dim, I understand mood lighting for dinner but during the day it makes the atmosphere feel unwelcoming. I ordered the buffet that was EXTREMELY overpriced and there were not many options. The soup looked cloudy and was lukewarm, in fact all of the food I tried, even the rice, was room temperature. They appearance of the food alone was not appealing, and the taste was nothing exceptional. It tasted, to be frank, GROSS. My friend and I did not finish our plates. The building in general was also not very clean, the baseboards were covered in crumbs and there was a definite need for a deep cleaning! There were spider webs all over the ceiling and lights, ick! I do not recommend eating here, it was overall unsanitary. However, I have heard good reviews about takeout so maybe try the option instead! read more

I've been eating from here for a while but now I'm disappointed. They used to have great egg rolls and egg roll sauce. But now they went with those same old egg rolls that everyone else sells, which I don't like. Also their fried rice needs to be seasoned and needs green onions, etc to make it taste good.
