Nude vase + custom floral arrangement, mirror, candles, and vintage tree topper are all from Golden Slipper :)

Going into the Golden Slipper is an immediate mood booster. The store is whimsical, the inventory is fun and ever-changing, and Abbey and her team are always kind and helpful. Any time I need a gift, Golden Slipper is my go-to because I know I'll be able to find something unique and have options in various price points. It's also where I buy 95% of my home decor and all of my candles. (They smell amazing & last forever!)

A wonderful shop with treasures for children, gifts, and Christmas at this time of year; it also had typical boutique finds like soaps, candles, and such. Gorgeous inside!

This small store is packed with a big personality. They have a wide variety of decor, gifts, snacks, and hosting essentials. The decor is unique and curated to fit the boho aesthetic. The gifts are eclectic and colorful. The staff was friendly and efficient on a busy Saturday. I got the cutest retro Santa and glass Christmas tree. They even have an online store. This is a must visit when near nashville!

I adore this boutique. I live just a few blocks away, and occasionally when I can get away for a short walk, I'll always pop in for a quick browse. They have so many gorgeous and unique items that it's an excellent stopping point--regardless if you're local, or visiting from out of town. Every time I visit, I find something new. These little air plants were a hit with my dinosaur-obsessed son (seriously though, how cute are these?!). And the Nashville city skyline scarf is perfect for my other child, hehe. They have gorgeous dried flowers too, unlike any I have seen elsewhere. As soon as I figure out where I can put them, I am picking some up on my next jaunt!

I took this off their Google page and this is what the store looks like when you first walk in - so cute!

When you fist walk into this eclectic boutique it fills you with so much excitement- if you love to shop that is! I went here with a friend before Christmas and I must say what an amazing place. I absolutely love little boutiques because I find they have a lot of items that you just don't normally see in department or chain stores. I actually ended up splurging on these adorable cordial glasses (picture to follow) and a taco ornament. Everyone needs a taco on their tree let me tell you!! You can find all kinds of things from candles to cookbooks and jewelry to hand lotions. They have specialty food and coffee, even local cheeses. You should stop here and not miss out on an enjoyable experience!! It's so important to support small businesses and you won't be disappointed visiting this boutique. Plus you can go have a facial down the street at Smooth Skin Company (see my review), grab a burger at Jack Brown's (see my review), or snag a steamed bao at Steamed Boys (see my review). Then walk around this great area of Germantown- grab a cookie at Christie's (see my review) and have an amazing day downtown!!!

This place is filled from floor to ceiling, no embellishment, with doors, windows, mantels, hardware, door knobs, lights, handles, cabinets and other items. While majority of the items were aged quite a bit, it did appear that they had some new build doors and such if that is what you are after. Honestly, I think 50% of the inventory is doors of some variety, and I wasn't mad it! It is such a cool space to wander around for a bit. We stopped by looking for antique furniture and while they have a few pieces, that is not what this place is about. Even though we didn't find what we were after, it was cool to wander up and down the hallways and through the maze of rooms scoping out the goods...we really loved some of the windows and lights they have hanging around. Some absolutely beautiful, and pricey, finds that I could see absolutely making a space! The staff was pleasant and friendly, she greeted us when we were walking around and again as we were leaving. Overall, I could see the need and popularity of a place like this, especially when it comes to remodeling, replacing or upgrading a space.

I had a great time shopping outside of the "Pop Up Market" in front of Dashwood Vintage. There weren't many shoppers at the time due to the light rain . When I walked inside, I politely told the front clerks that I just came from outside and is it alright if I had my items. Then, the imbecilic older lady with dark hair didn't believe that I had purchased the items from outside. She kept saying out-loud " Did I buy them? " "Did you buy those ?" " Where did you get those items ? she argued. (Where would I have bought the vintage items , if it wasn't outside of the DashWoodVintage Pop Up market. Are you daft ? ) This was in the front of the store . Instead of holding my goods that I bought , like most stores , she told me I needed to get proof of purchase from the vendors . I told her that vendors should I have given that out .. And there were no signs and of that policy anywhere . Hello ? Not a customers job! She started to do it , but I told her don't bother . ** BIG MISTAKE! ** YOU LOST A SALE. ** And I doubt she made a big deal about the other patrons who came from outside from the open market that afternoon. I was in love with all of the Turkish rugs-- sadly they were out of a college student's budget. lol. The stickers varied from pop culture, tv shows, politics, and local nashville merch. We got two! I feel like so many shops in nashville all have the same stuff; however, this hand-curated store felt different, as i had not seen many of the products here anywhere else. From the store and store's social media, it is prevalent that their mission is social justice and social change. It was so exciting to visit and support a local business that is supporting is local community. The cashier was friendly and welcoming. The store is clean and modern. We will be back!

If you're visiting Nashville, I definitely recommend this store - either before or after you go to Pancake Pantry!

Pre-lockdown experience…read more This has all the makings of one of my (now) trademark grim reaper reviews: 1 prior review (from 2017, no less), non-food related, out of the city core... Things weren't looking good. But one check of the socials and my fears were for naught. This is just the type of business that doesn't get a lot of attention on here.* Home boutiques in this part of the metro just make sense. I'm always eager to call it 'Bellevue' but concede that West Meade might suffice. I just wouldn't call it 'Nashville.' That's not an insult; it's just, I don't know, cartography? I came here in search of good Christmas presents for mom and that's what I found. From clothes to rugs to candles to tschotskes, I was very happy with the selection and possibilities. If I was going all out (and was buying in town), I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that the furniture options are fantastic. I saw couches, tables and chairs I'd like to appear in my home one day. There's a lot from which to choose so when you come in, do so expecting to spend some time. Also expect to interact with nice people. For the entirety of my time in the store (early winter, late Saturday afternoon), I was the only person in the gallery. Rather than feeling awkward or conspicuous, I was greeted with warmth, offered a cider (I passed), given gift advice, and engaged in a conversation about (what else) Vanderbilt. Even if I'd had no intention on buying a thing, after my interaction I would have done so. I truly appreciated the hospitality. In a home gallery, that couldn't be more apropos. Two For Home isn't a place you wind up at. You plan to come here. But planning yields dividends. I'd be shocked if you didn't leave here with more than one item -- and more on your list of possibilities. Shop local and discover your metro all in one place. I think you'll be a fan of the experience. *That is a mistake.
