I hired Sharnice in January of 2022 to represent me during my divorce because she seemed knowledgeable, aggressive, and responsive during the consultation. During our time together, Sharnice missed a court hearing, and I was compelled to pay half of the mortgage that I never paid during the course of my marriage. After receiving various updates or inquiries from me regarding my case within the client portal, she communicated that other cases took precedence. Sharnice essentially made me feel that my case was not a priority to her. Additionally, she failed to thoroughly review my case to discover that a counter-petition for alimony was never filed by my previous attorney. After discovering stock accounts that my ex-husband actively trades with and his salary being significantly greater than mine, no argument was made for durational alimony. Sharnice was ill-prepared to handle my case and didn't thoroughly comb through the case until the final weeks of March prior to my April 4 hearing before the judge. Sharnice also failed to file my child support withholding order after we signed our MSA. I had to request for it to be done in May. Advice for Google or Yelp review readers, be sure to research the Florida Bar and all types of platforms before hiring ANY attorney. Not sure why it says I'm from CA, I'm right in Tampa Bay.

This firm was given my past dues and set me a letter the dues plus $400 in legal fees. After refusing to work with me they agreed to split the payment. I immediately sent the first half of the payment , which they received/applied on 05/19/25, and 2.5 months later (on 08/06/25) they have sent a new later, demanding more fees including fees to place a lien on my home. When they decided to accept splitting the payment there was zero mention of a deadline of any kind. It's my opinion that this should not be allowed, and may not even be legal. This is probably something someone should investigate so they aren't draining people of money to simply send letters.
