This is my 3rd visit to Louisville and The Grady has become my favorite boutique hotel. The hotel is located right on Main Street walkable to bars and restaurants. The lobby is beautifully decorated and there's artwork throughout this historic building that was built in 1883, which was commissioned by pharmacist J.B. Wilder as a medicinal bourbon apothecary. Our king room was small, but had plenty of drawers and a small closet for clothes. There is a room safe and small refrigerator in the closet. The bathroom is a nice size with a huge shower. The bed was very comfortable. I also liked the great steamer provided. The staff at The Grady went out of their way, very kind and friendly. Shoutout to Linda in the evenings. We loved seeing her and chatting each day. She'd make sure we had water bottles as did other front desk staff. The negatives ... no coffee maker in the room. It was a pain to have to get dressed and go to the lobby or restaurant for our complimentary first cup of the day. Messy hair, no makeup - ugh. BIG fail. Also, our room facing Main Street was very loud because of racing cars zooming by and loud people. The noise gave us interrupted sleep. Ask for a room away from the street. I highly recommend the Grady. It's in a perfect location, beautifully decorated and extremely well kept rooms with a comfortable bed. We absolutely loved this hotel.

Brandon met us at the door, eager to help. Alexa and Marcola did a great job to welcome us and check us in. We had a blast at this hotel. Our room is great, very modern, the lobby and seating areas are wonderful. The best fireplace! A special treat, we found the lounge restaurant downstairs, it had a speakeasy flair to it. Cocktails are great and that's where we met Melanie, Josh and Lance, they are awesome! Rooms were great, bed was comfy and the shower was good. We went to grab a bite to eat, and when we came back, we were able to get into a great conversation with Brandon. Great people! Great cocktails in the wild Swann. The history of this building is amazing. It used to be a hat factory. I decided to go for breakfast and that's where I met Mark, he was delightful. I WOULD RECOMMEND $40 for valet, and the note sounded like they did have street racing last night.

This hotel was absolutely wonderful. I found them on Yelp about a month prior to my visit and the reviews and photos sold me. I booked a room for 3 nights, right then and there, and when the day came to check in, it was perfect. First, the location is prime time. Second, their staff was incredibly friendly, as in above and beyond, they brightened my day/night each time I walked through the lobby. Third, the vibes are on point. Very elegant, says Louisville in a classy way. Fourth, my room was super comfy and chic. The bathroom was huge, the bed, comfy, and I loved that it had a refrigerator. I was even told that the giant luxurious robe in my closet paid homage to Muhammad Ali (he was from Lou). Next, the continental breakfast was interesting. In the basement of the lobby is a restaurant/cocktail lounge. You had to go down there and sit down at a table and order. Not what you would expect and it was simple (fruit, a croissant, and a drink). It just took a lot longer than the normal, buffet style breakfast. I wish I had time to grab a drink or full meal there. Very cool space, kinda of speakeasy-like. In short, I would totally stay here again and would recommend it to anyone... hence the five stars. I don't have a single complaint.

A wonderful hotel. We only stayed one night, but it was a pleasure. The interiors are beautiful!

I would like to reiterate we were never refunded $400 despite having hospital documentation let alone receive a PHONE CALL or even RESPONSE! Management please reach out. I'm so embarrassed this hasnt been addressed by now.

The Grady is a hidden new gem in downtown Louisville. This cute little hotel is a must visit - everything has been thoroughly designed with the history of the building and patron in mind. The rooms are on the smaller side , but is to be expected in a hotel like this. The decor was done perfectly, simple and elegant. The bed was very comfortable and the room very clean. There is some noise from the street, but that is to be expected when you stay downtown. We did not get to enjoy the Wild Swann for dinner or drinks, but we enjoyed their complementary continental breakfast. Juan who was working breakfast is amazing, funny, polite and very helpful - also a hidden gem in this hotel. Can't wait til we can go back and visit The Grady again.

I had to review for the aesthetic. It's such a cute boutique hotel. Room is clean and quiet. Bed is comfy and the staff was so nice (after we checked in at midnight cause of airport delays). A cute hotel in a very walkable area if you like boutique.

Beautiful state of the art hotel with modern and chic decor. Located under the lobby was a speakeasy style bar that serves delicious free breakfast in the morning. The bourbon selection was immaculate, wish I could try them all! The staff was very friendly and delightful. The Grady Hotel will be my go-to hotel for any future stays in Louisville!

The room is nice. The shower temperature and pressure are good. Toilet is in a separated room. The design is a little weird to me. Once you enter the room, you see the big sink with towel/lotions/hair dryer. I feel they could have moved that in between shower and toilet and free up the space at the entrance. Nonetheless, it's a good bathroom. Beds are comfortable. We have 2 beds. 4 pillows on each one. It has a street view facing YUM center. TV, refrigerator, coffee station, a little bench against the wall. They packed a lot of stuff in the room. When I put down our luggage, there's not much room to walk. Parking garage across the street (daily fee $22). once you exit, you will have to pay again. Valet parking is $47. Breakfast was wonderful. The only real impact was that the bathroom was split into a toilet room and a separate shower room, with a hall in between. Completely manageable, just a little odd. We were more put out that they'd not mentioned the change at all. We were also placed on the 4th floor, immediately above very busy and very loud main street. I've never been a fan of soft water, and they do treat the water, so bring a scrubber if you want to get clean in the shower. Several of the doors in the suite are sliding barn doors, which can be a bit loud and unwieldly. The room could be kept dark and cold and the bed was comfortable, so ok for a good night's sleep, they just lack any good foam pillows which we prefer. Failed to connect our device to the TV - the HDMI ports are accessible, but the TV throws some error message when trying to use another device and the message can't be closed without unplugging the device and restarting the TV. At least they have Netflix. An attractive hotel, I liked the style of the place, and the prohibition repeal theme. Just too many bumps to get them to 5 stars. At least there are several alternative high end hotels convenient to downtown.

Check in is at the bar, no stuffy hostess station. So check in your room and order a drink at the same time! At this particular location, trying to bring your luggage in could be a challenge as there is no parking on site. There is a parking garage down the street. You can pay $25 for overnight or $35 for in and out access. That said, you have to double park, run your bags in, then drive down the street to park, so that's kind of odd. Also no valet if you are like me and used to that at hotels. The rooms are small. Kind of remind me of "tiny house" living. So don't come in with a whole lot of stuff, there isn't a ton of room but you have everything that you need. Also if you need an iron/ironing board, they have one on each floor near the elevators because there is really no room in your hotel room to have them. On Friday night the hotel has a DJ in the lobby! LOVE LOVE LOVE that! He would even take requests. You can dance down there and chat with other people just a lot of fun and bonus the bar doesn't close until 1am! There is also food you can buy (tacos) so when you are coming in late no worries food is there! Nice touch. Really enjoyed the hotel and looking forward to trying other Moxy's in other cities!

How somebody that can check people in and pour drinks. It wasn't that just. The good ... Location. Convenient to Yum Center, downtown bars and restaurants, Roots 101 (super recommend this), and the Muhammad Ali Center (further but walkable). The bad ... The rooms. The rooms are tiny. Not much room for more than the bed, shower, and restroom. You definitely don't want to have 2 people. There's no place to lounge at all. My housekeeper didn't come a couple days I was there. My bed was never made up. But, I did come back to some fresh towels. We only stayed here because a group of us came from California for the Cal-Louisville game. Had I known the rooms were this small, I would have stayed elsewhere. But, I understand that this is their "thing," so I can't fault the hotel. If you're looking to save a little and don't mind a small room, this is a good spot. But, is your tastes are more for a larger room, stay away.

If you're going to charge guests $36 for breakfast, don't advertise it as "on us" or complimentary. Just be honest about your pricing. Like Channel 39 should have been COZI but came up as BRAVO. And several channels came up as unavailable. So not only couldn't I hear the TV, but I couldn't find the programs I wanted to watch, even with closed captions. When I arrived, the A/C was set at 66. The wall A/C - heater was efficient though and warmed up the room quickly (although it took a while to warm the shower area). And when I arrived and found the light switch, it turned on a dim night-light luminescent panel near the door. I had to feel around the room to find a lamp, and then feel around some more to find the switch. And there were only 2 lamps in the room near the beds, so working at the desk was nearly impossible after dark. Many of the aforementioned hotels welcome their guests with a free bottle or 2 of water. The Galt welcomes them with a $7 bottle of Smart Water which costs around $2.50 in stores.
