Not enough PROS to outweigh the CONS, unfortunately. First of all there didn't seem to be enough people working there to run the place smoothly. The parking situation was WILD. Free to park on the street (none available) but $17 to park in a spot BEHIND the hotel was wacky. No one to help you with your bags. As an able-bodied person I was barely able to do it myself. The entry includes about a 3" step you need to navigate on top of holding the door and pushing the cart all on your own. It was a $17 inconvenience. We thought the Myriad would be ok for our kid due to the pool and minimal/industrial design (meaning not a fancy 5 star spot). We remembered reading that they sell day-passes to the pool as a neighborly nod to the folks living nearby. When we arrived we were surprised to see the pool FULL of probably 15+ adults, some of whom were necking and a few with lit joints. Felt like the pool was for them instead of us, the folks who paid $260 to stay there. We waited a few hours til around dinner time and by then the pool was completely empty and we were able to enjoy it all to ourselves, but we were bummed to learn both the lobby bar and the poolside bar were closed. We saw later the pool's capacity is 8 people. Hmmm. Our king room was nice but super dark for some reason. No overhead lighting, just lights on the headboard. We had to have our phones' flashlights on to unpack in the afternoon. No real cable, just "Roku-free" style TV and to sign in to your own subscriptions. The windows were drafty which wasn't a problem in September until night time when we could hear dozens of cars/bikes racing in the street outside. All that said, it WAS a cute place. Kiddo loved the party lights in the elevator. The pool was majestic. You can tell it was designed by someone who knows what style is. But somewhere along the line the particulars were lost in the wind. The bed was comfy, the room was big, but the whole experience lacked the priority and hospitality you'd expect would come with the price tag. Sort of just felt like, what are we paying for? Probably won't be back.

Staff is awesome. This area and hotel are a little funky and a lot fantastic! Be prepared - this isn't your template hotel room & free breakfast kinda place. With that in mind though enjoy the vibe.

We needed a couple do things and they were instantly brought to us. Their valet service was wonderful too. You got such quick responses. There were also cute touches like a bourbon drink every night to ring out prohibition. The room was lovely and everything was so clean. We stayed at 3 places on our trip and this was our favorite.

The only real impact was that the bathroom was split into a toilet room and a separate shower room, with a hall in between. Completely manageable, just a little odd. We were more put out that they'd not mentioned the change at all. We were also placed on the 4th floor, immediately above very busy and very loud main street. I've never been a fan of soft water, and they do treat the water, so bring a scrubber if you want to get clean in the shower. Several of the doors in the suite are sliding barn doors, which can be a bit loud and unwieldly. The room could be kept dark and cold and the bed was comfortable, so ok for a good night's sleep, they just lack any good foam pillows which we prefer. Failed to connect our device to the TV - the HDMI ports are accessible, but the TV throws some error message when trying to use another device and the message can't be closed without unplugging the device and restarting the TV. At least they have Netflix. An attractive hotel, I liked the style of the place, and the prohibition repeal theme. Just too many bumps to get them to 5 stars. At least there are several alternative high end hotels convenient to downtown.

I was a bit out off by the limited base hours. It's Louisville. Should've the bar open before 5pm on a Sunday? She explained that the bar is separate from check in and the kitchen or something, and they couldn't justify bringing in a bartender. Just makes no sense. How somebody that can check people in and pour drinks. It wasn't that just. The good ... Location. Convenient to Yum Center, downtown bars and restaurants, Roots 101 (super recommend this), and the Muhammad Ali Center (further but walkable). The bad ... The rooms. The rooms are tiny. Not much room for more than the bed, shower, and restroom. You definitely don't want to have 2 people. There's no place to lounge at all. My housekeeper didn't come a couple days I was there. My bed was never made up. But, I did come back to some fresh towels. We only stayed here because a group of us came from California for the Cal-Louisville game. Had I known the rooms were this small, I would have stayed elsewhere. But, I understand that this is their "thing," so I can't fault the hotel. If you're looking to save a little and don't mind a small room, this is a good spot. But, is your tastes are more for a larger room, stay away.

We got a cheese board and some frizzy water to keep it light as it was the night before a work day. Thank you 21C for providing the 2 of Us with such a wonderful time and experience. I remember getting home that day and being so happy because it was a wonderful time at a sensational place that made all the sense now that I can think of it deeper as I am an artist myself.

Once I went when they had Korean based art and it captured the beauty of the oriental style in a modern look and there was a story telling room where each art piece told a continuous short story which was such a neat concept! Last night when I had visited my partner and I got greeted by Darrel the security guard and he was very friendly and accommodating! Art can make you think, smile, and even laugh! Our experience has been so poor that we've decided to cut our stay short and leave two days early rather than spend another night here. Problems started as soon as we checked in. Our first room was unacceptable, forcing us to move to a second room that was only marginally better. By the time we packed everything up, moved rooms, and got settled again, we had missed the evening Manager's Reception--the complimentary drinks and snacks that are one of the signature benefits of staying at an Embassy Suites. Hoping to salvage the evening, we went to the lobby restaurant. They were out of Chardonnay, and when my wife asked about it, she was told that Chablis was "the same thing." While Chablis is made from Chardonnay grapes, simply dismissing a guest's request that way reflected a surprising lack of product knowledge and customer service. The hotel itself feels worn down, cleanliness was a constant concern, and the overall atmosphere was uninviting. The staff was not particularly welcoming or attentive, leaving us feeling more like an inconvenience than valued guests. The surrounding area was equally disappointing. It felt run down, there were numerous homeless individuals nearby, and the restaurant options were underwhelming. Even dinner at Guy Fieri's Smokehouse was disappointing after we observed an employee handle the cash register and then immediately plate food while wearing the same gloves. I've stayed with Hilton enough to know this is not the standard the brand is capable of delivering. Choosing to forfeit two prepaid nights and drive to another city says everything about how disappointing this experience has been. I sincerely hope Hilton addresses the cleanliness, maintenance, and service issues at this property. Until then, I cannot recommend it, and I will not be returning.

Our Mississippi River Cruise from American Cruise Lines put us up here for a couple of evenings at the end of our cruise and we stayed an additional three days to tour Louisville. Not having to worry about a car certainly drop the stress level down a bit. We were able to walk to most places and where we elected to 'Uber,' the rides were just a couple of minutes. Our room was very nice with plenty of moving and storage space, great views, excellent TV, solid bed, good size bathroom with a wonderful shower and HOT water, and... a great view. We ate breakfast in the hotel a few times and all was good and very reasonbly prices and when we ventured out, there were plenty of shops just walking-minutes from the hotel. I ventured up to their rotating restauarant and swear I will be back on my next visit. It is beautiful and the food looks and smelled wonderful (See seperate review.). We also ate lunch at one of their restauarnat and found it very good. Our favorite place, "Jeff Rubys" was just accross the street and made dining there for the one minute walk back better then perfect. I am not sure why I see reviews under four stars.
