From our first meeting there the staff was amazing from helping with accommodations to every detail in helping to make our day about us. Even though I know we were not the only couple getting married there it felt like we were. They made us feel so special. After we booked our day, they invited us to their wedding extravaganza. We were able to taste the food, meet the DJ, see the flowers and meet the staff. It was so great to be able to do this and meet the vendors before our wedding. They took so much stress off of us the week of our wedding. Our planner helped with our rehearsal at the church and was at the church to greet us the day of our wedding. They had refreshments for us and our bridal party waiting before the ceremony. They even helped direct our guests from the church to the Hazlehurst House. Once we arrived for the reception they had food and drinks waiting for the bridal before and after pictures. They made us feel so special. The DJ was amazing at introducing us to getting everyone on the dance floor. The food was amazing!! All of our guests raved about the food, staff, DJ, planner, flowers. My mom loved that she only had to carry her shoes to the car. The staff loaded all the gifts for her...so thoughtful and sweet. Only advice I'd give is to make sure you order more crostinis. I saw plenty of quick word of mouth drive traffic right to them and everyone loved the unique flavors that the filet with smashed avocado, honey goat cheese topped with roasted tomatoes and pesto drizzle, and caprese delivered. Nothing in the contract was delivered and we paid 4000.00 dollars for garbage we threw out. The food was full of salt, not cooked enough (raw chicken, raw greens, etc.), over cooked (burned dressing, burned ham, overcooked vegetables that were to have been fried corn and fried squash), stove top stuffing burned, watery potato salad, etc. I am willing to show anyone the photos of the dog food presented that we flushed down the toilet and garbage disposal, and sent back to her by her staff. The food was also delivered late and my family was completely disappointed and those that ate some of the food became ill. I would not have served this food to a stray dog.....beware. The pasta is very watery, to the point that there's liquid sitting throughout the container. This is not what I expected at all, especially when I'm paying for a quality meal. I understand restaurants can have an off night, but this is honestly unacceptable to serve to a customer. I shouldn't have to drain water out of my pasta before I can even attempt to eat it. I'd appreciate it if someone could make this right, whether that means remaking the order properly or issuing a refund. I'm not trying to be difficult--I just expect the food I paid for to be prepared and served properly.
