David and Beth Simon of Front Door Properties at Smith Mountain Lake Virginia were a pleasure to…read morework with. They were knowledgeable and so willing to answer our many questions. If they didn't have the immediate answer to a question they always quickly researched the issue and got back to us quickly with the answer. David is very knowledgeable about the lake and surrounding area and knows the real estate market well. He was very honest in assessing each property visited. On the day of closing David made sure we knew how to use all of the home's many amenities. He also has a lot of contacts for various services in the area to help make connections for repairs and maintenance if needed. David was also able to provide financing suggestions. I would not hesitate to recommend David Simon for buying or selling property. He will go the extra mile to make sure you have an easy and successful buying or selling experience.

We contacted several relators when looking to list and by far David was the most responsive. He put together a detailed proposal that included significantly more data than just comps in our area. This was greatly appreciated and spared us all a lot of back and forth Q&A. We were fortunate to sell our property quickly and used the staging recommendations his wife offered. While the offer came quickly, closing posed challenges based on the buyers. David hung with us throughout the entire process and really went the extra mile. He helped coordinate the repairs needed on the home using his local network; drove around town to have forms signed quickly and even shoveled the entire drive so trucks could get in after a heavy snow. We are appreciative of his efforts; his great upbeat personality and helping us see everything through to closing. We highly recommend David.

She was unethical. She was extremely passive aggressive. She was rude. She was not helpful and gave my child more anxiety than was necessary as the first time homebuyer. You should have support , encouragement and someone that's looking out for your needs because you represent them and she did none of that, we feel like she has been so unethical that there is something shady going on in that office that they are pushing relentlessly to use their lender, pushing to use their title company and then trying to sabotage the situation. They were terrible and I would never recommend them to anyone in the Salem Roanoke area.

We had a home inspector chosen but some how the brother of the owner inspected the house. My husband didn't realize it was him until I saw the signed email for payment. The realtor apologized and then he stated he would return our money but that didn't happen. When we moved in we had HVAC and Septic issues.Last but not least the $600 in repairs that was for fixing issues was never sent to us or repaired by the sellers as they promised. They kept saying they couldn't find the check. They do shady business and I will never use them again and will advise others to choose someone else.

Karen Kryzanowsky whom was supposed to be marketing and selling my property for the past 18+ months couldn't even send me the correct address and listing for my property when I questioned her about it last week. When I asked as to why I have NOT received a single offer over 18+ months of being in business with Karen, Karen gave excuses to why my property wasn't receiving interest. I simply asked to see the listing which I could NOT find on any search I made. Karen insisted she could see it. However, when I used common search engines to see my property listing, the listing was nowhere to be found. I made recommendations to help market the property on multiple commonly known real estate websites. Karen insisted it already was being automatically marketed on those same websites I recommended from the time she listed it on the MLS. It was NOT. When Karen finally showed me the property she could see but I could NOT, it was the wrong address being marketed by a completely different agent. Since this incident, I have neglected to work with Karen and plain and simple, if you would like for your property to actually be listed and marketed, I would NOT recommend Karen to anyone in search for Real Estate guidance or services.

I didn't get my "welcome letter" or a response to my maintenance request from them until a couple weeks later. When I did get the request placed, I had to call them to find out that the key they had didn't work, and they asked me about getting a replacement. Thankfully I didn't have any more maintenance requests after that was finally taken care of. I gave my notice to vacate 3/1/20, and was told to notify Crystal if I would like to be present for the move-out inspection. I did so, and after two weeks of trying to contact her I got a response stating that due to COVID-19 I could not be present. (I could not find any rules regarding this; it would have been a meeting of two people and I had stated I would wear a mask.) Towards the end of the lease the property I was renting was put up for sale. MKB notified me whenever a realtor was scheduled to enter the unit. However, one afternoon at work I received a voicemail from Amanda accusing me of changing the locks because a realtor had trouble getting in. (screenshot of the voicemail transcription is attached) When I called back I got a non-apology of "sorry that offended you".  During quarantine I advised MKB that my at-risk fiance was working from home. Despite their closed office and their hesitance to give me a date for move-out inspection, they were fine sending realtors and prospective buyers to the occupied unit. Amanda generously told me I could open a window while other people were present. Two months after giving notice I received a date for the inspection. We were to meet at the property at 3:00, but Crystal didn't show up until 3:40. The return deposit check arrived within time frame, at least. My experience with MKB was a huge stress and their staff is highly unprofessional. Don't rent from them if you can help it.
