Cute, cute, and cute. I guess the whole Grandin Village is cute (please don't get me started on Pop's). We came here during the week on Wonder Woman's last day at the Theatre. A matinee ticket for $7.75 is not terrible and we'd been wanting to come here, and I'm glad we did. We ordered our tickets online and picked them up from the concession (cute, again), and got a small popcorn. After AMC 10, we were just glad they actually had a small at all, and at a decent price ($4.25), too. The theatre was "upper left" upstairs, and there were only two but a beautifully furnished waiting/lounging area complete with bathrooms (cuuuuuute!!). The theatre was compact, a lot more so than we expected, and it actually made for a great cozy, loungeroom atmosphere. Screen and sound were fine, although seats would have started to become a little uncomfortable with more than one showing. Cup holders were attached to the backside of the chairs, which is usual but better than nothing. All the staff seemed to be young and friendly, and we enjoyed the experience. I'd certainly go back.

Best popcorn there is. Wish they were open during the week. Tough parking most times, plan accordingly.

From the looks of this theatre we are nearing Roanokes theatre extinction. Which is sad and this review won't help but I keep my reviews unbiased and transparent. The theatre itself was incredible hard to find as it was tucked directly behind Kroger and not visible at all from the main road. I ordered tickets online $28 for one child and one adult. Got the kids box (popcorn, candy, drink) for $12 and was pleased with the price for this. Checking in at the concession stand and picking up the tickets was relatively simple. Top advice would be, don't look down. The floor was absolutely disgusting and clearly it does not get cleaned often. The carpet is probably the original and is just beyond icky. Popcorn and trash everywhere. Showtime was at 4:15. The movie didn't start until 4:40. There were multiple retirement home and retirement cruise commercials that sort of set the tone and it was clear they are marketing to elderly patrons. The theatre itself was small and the seats are old and low to the ground, my child was basically awkwardly folded up in hers the whole time as she was not heavy enough to hold it down. Small children would have a hard time seeing here. But the movie itself was good, sound was fine, screen was fine. It didn't smell despite the carpet looking like it probably should. The bathrooms were not clean either and trash was overflowing. The space is large and the staffing is probably low and young. Lots of dirty work here is not being kept up with but at the end of the day it was a movie and my daughter enjoyed it.

I had time to kill during my short stay in Roanoke, Virginia. I looked around the area via Google…read moreMaps and found Valley View Grande theaters within walking distance of the Valley View Mall. I had a few hours to kill so I ended up coming to the theaters and watched a movie. Before I walked over, I looked online to see what was playing that day. After deciding on what movie was good, I walked on over and entered. The space inside was pretty large and reminded me of my favorite theater back home. Complete with a snack bar and what you'd expect from a typical movie house, I spent about 45 minutes looking and observing before buying the movie ticket and some snacks at the snack bar before heading into the movie theater for my movie. The theater lobby was nice and clean, clearly what you'd expect from a professional movie house these days. The service at the snack bar was friendly and pleasant. I had forgotten that the prices of snacks are inflated and it's because you were at the movies. Oh well, it is what it is. It's not that much more, so I just chalked it up to being on vacation. The theater itself is a semi large one with stadium seating. While the seats do not recline, there was room to put food and drinks. While I was there, only a handful of people decided to join me for the film. The theater was clean and definitely nice to see a film in stadium style viewing. I sat in the middle of the theater, so I got the full experience of the film without having to angle myself to see everything. I was glad that the movie theater had restrooms, so I didn't have to leave the theater mid film to do things and skip out on large portions of the film. I normally don't watch films while on vacation, but when I do, it's nice to have Regal here in Roanoke. The overall experience here at the Regal Valley View Grande theaters here in Roanoke was typical and yet refreshing. I hardly go to the movie theaters these days, but when I do, it was near the Valley View Mall In Roanoke, Virginia while on vacation. I was glad that the movie prices were $10, which was a nice price for a movie before 4pm. It was a nice movie experience and I'm happy that I got to watch it. Having that downtime during vacation helps with alot of things these days. While this Regal cinema is a good place to go with family and friends to catch the latest movie releases, it's not a place I'd typically would go unless I was bored. Still, glad to find this place during my vacation. The snacks were typical and movie snacks are always fun and delicious. Be prepared to spend a bit more for yourself and your friends and family. The seats were comfortable and I had a lot of room. It almost felt like watching a movie at home with a really large theater system. It was nice having that stereo surround sound that makes being in a theater that much more exciting and enjoyable. And so, if you feel the need to watch a movie while working or vacationing in Roanoke, Virginia, consider coming to the Regal Valley View Grande for a new film release or two. Whether it's to watch the latest film from Hollywood or just past the time with family and friends, you'll find and discover that it could be the hottest ticket in town. This Regal Valley View Grande theater location is centralized in Roanoke, Virginia. It's a short walk across the street near the Valley View Mall. It's physically located at 4370 Valley View Boulevard NW. They accept major credit cards as well as cash. As far as parking goes, there's limited parking for y'all who drive. For those of you who love public transportation, local Roanoke bus service route 15 direct services the Valley View Mall. Just walk a bit from the Mall. There's always Route 25/26 serving the airport, but you'd have to walk about 2 miles thereafter. Then of course, there's Uber and Lyft that can help you with that as well. For the most part though, spending time and watching the latest movie releases was something that I didn't think was possible in Roanoke, Virginia when I was here. Truth be told, it was a nice experience that made my vacation a better one. The snacks were delicious and the popcorn was fluffy and buttery at the same time. I rarely have popcorn, so having it with my movie with a large soda was definitely a treat. Do yourself a favor if you're in Roanoke, catch a movie here at Regal Valley View Grande. Quite possibly the highlight of your trip here. 5.0 stars for the overall experience, mostly for location and the movie choices. The seating was great and felt like I was at home with a really updated movie studio. Support local! A+

After having been selected as number 4 of Yelp's Top 50 most prolific Elites of 2025, a year when I was also awarded the Yelp Triad Squad Photographer of the Year Award at their Yelpies 2025 Award Ceremony, an event that honored the highest-performing Yelp Elites, and where last year I was awarded the Yelp Triad Squad Yelper of the Year Award, I decided that this year, as an All-Star Yelp Elite, I not only wanted to be the first to discover new restaurants, businesses, and entertainment venues, and bring them to the attention of the public, but also to uncover those found in hidden paths that for one reason or another have not reached the public in its totality. And Westlake Cinema, located in Hardy, Virginia is a perfect example. Located in the right corner of the Westlake Town Center, Westlake Cinema is a four-plex movie theater featuring a total of four theater screens with varying seating capacity, all located on a ground floor. Two screens hold 128 seats each and two other hold 174 seats each, to give the venue a total of 604 seats. The theater features first-run movies, stadium seating in comfortable reclining seats, Dolby Digital Surround Sound, RealD 3D, optional hearing assistance headphones, free Wi-Fi, and a full service concession stand. I invite you to view my photographs and videos accompanying this review to get a better sense of the inside of the theater and its amenities. Previously having viewed its website and taken advantage of purchasing my ticket online for their Wed, June 10, 2026, 3:45PM showing of Masters of the Universe, I had received an email with a QR Code to conveniently check in after arriving to the theater. I figure I would arrive early to watch the previews, but when it was 3:29PM and the theater doors were still closed with no one to be seen, I began to be concerned, got out my cellphone and gave the theater a call. No one answered the call but almost right after the 7th ring I heard someone opening the theater's doors. Later I found out that their doors open at 3:30PM, only 15 minutes before the start of the movie and that the movie time is actually the time the previews start. That doesn't give guests much time to purchase snacks at the concession stand. Maybe that is why they have it that you can purchase these online as well and by showing the QR Code, they will only have to deliver the items. Like in many theaters now-a-days, the box office is obsolete. Your are directed to purchase your tickets at the concession stand. When I arrived there, four people were behind the counter: a young lady cashier, two young gentleman, and and a friendly older lady. All of them were eager to be of service and once other customers began to arrive and order, they all went to work, were very efficient, and even began to smile. I was still full from having had lunch at Cancun Mexican Restaurant & Grill, but had them scan my QR Code ticket and stayed close by observing how they handled the other few customers. They did a great job, working as a team, and you could tell they also enjoyed doing it. The screening room was modern and very clean, with nice lighting that made it very easy to walk to your chosen seat. The reclining seats were very comfortable, and the air-condition temperature was just right and very soothing. The screen view and the sound were perfect. Used to going to large cities movie theaters this was a unique, soothing, and wonderful movie theater experience, and I highly recommend the place. This community should be proud of having a theater like this one, run by such a nice group of individuals who work great as a team.

I don't usually go out to watch movies because it gets to be rather expensive and I'm on a starving-student budget at the moment, but on Bargain Tuesdays, it's $5/ticket all day, and for movies starting before 11 a.m. on Saturdays, it's also $5. Otherwise, tickets range from $6-8 depending on how old you are. The seats here are super comfy + spacious! The popcorn and the drinks seem to be all-you-can-eat, which is a novel concept for a movie theater (at least to me). Food/refreshments at movie theaters are notoriously expensive, but considering that you can refill as many times as you want, that makes it more worth it (assuming you really do get up to get more). A small popcorn is $4.75, and the ginormous tub is $6.75, so make your decision depending on how good the movie/your company is and/or how frugal/lazy you're feeling! My favorite thing is probably the fact that they have all sorts of different toppings/seasonings for the popcorn, from your standard butter to...ranch, garlic parmesan, cheddar, caramel, and kettle corn. :D I was going to try every flavor, but got stopped up on the kettle corn, so...maybe next time!

Just asked the person to go to their original seat, which was front row, terrible seating, relative to my middle of theater seating. If a manager does not enforce assigned rules strictly, particularly for when a person refuses to get up, the manager is welcoming this to happen again. I am worried about this happening again.
