My family and I stopped here for some wine. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by the owners and was shown a table. The area I has a lovely lounge feel and their was a band playing. I believe the menu mentioned that Fridays and Saturdays were music nights. What's really cool is that they have so much variety of wine lining the walls. Each wine organized by features (ex: Bold, Smooth, Sweet). Underneath the features are a list of the recommended wines. My family and I shared the sweet and salty dish, which included pieces of chocolate, salted caramel chocolate balls, almonds. This was the perfect pairing to the wines and helped bring out their complexity. I had the Sweet Bitch Moscoto, which was sweet (not overly sweet), fruity, and slightly sparking. It was so good! Considering the fact that we are in the midst of a pandemic, I felt very uncomfortable by the fact that the worker/owner wasn't wearing a mask or keeping 6 ft away from me. Unbelievable to see a whole establishment not care about the lives of others. I will not be returning. read more

Looked on google for wine bars in Davenport and was led to this gem. Had some of our favorite varietals from growers we had not had the opportunity to try before. All top notch. So let's start off with the positives. Really nice interior. Reminded me of smaller wine shops in IL that I like to frequent. It was cozy and the darker colors made the room feel warm. The selection of wine was definitely above average. Seeing as I was only in the area for work, I did not have much time to sit down and really enjoy the place. Instead I planned to buy a bottle to either enjoy after work or take home and enjoy. The staff member there was very friendly and was able to distinguish between the various pinots and syrahs I was looking at. I settled on a Belle Glos Pinot Noir that was set out special. I am partial to Belle Glos wines and was unable to resist. I frequently like to look up bottles of wine I get to see if I paid too much or not. It turns out that I could have found this particular wine for almost half the price that I paid. I could have bought from numerous other wine stores for 40 dollars rather than 75. I know the Grape Life is a specialty wine store and may not be able to offer comparable prices, but the difference in prices is pretty drastic. This was a cute little place. They offer flights/ by the glass or by the bottle. It is not what you expect from the location (next to Panera's) in a relatively old strip mall. I really want to rate this place 3.5 stars, but I used the laws of rounding and went up to 4 instead of down to 3. The good: Cute location and decor Friendly staff (owners) Great live entertainment The bad: The cheese plate was just meh and they didn't have anything else to offer. They were out of meat and it was fairly early in the night The service was good, but several folks in my party (myself included) had glasses removed from the table that were not empty. This is a little irksome based on the prices. The pickings are slim in Quad cities so go support The Grape Life. Oh and their website is sort of out of date. Not sure what's up with that. read more

First time experience on a difficult travel visit looking for an opportunity to relax and sample good wine and spirits. I was welcomed and found a sophisticated choice and conversation. It is unclear why we couldn't bring our 7 week old baby there. It was 3pm on a Thursday and no one else was there. Even if you don't want kids in the establishment for the "vibe" or whatever at least give me a warning since I dealt with the Kimberly traffic and the shitty location of this place. Extremely RUDE!! Didnt even have my car in park before the owner or employee came out and caused a scene for me to move my vehicle because shes tired of Panera taking up her parking. Dont get me wrong, i understand it could get frustrating not having parking for your business, but verbally attacking me and causing a scene is not the way to go about it. ESPECIALLY since my husband and i absolutely love going to different places for wine tastings and always purchase "too much" wine for home lol. This place should definitely have more reviews. Laid back atmosphere, plenty of chairs and tables to choose from. The owner is super nice, very attentive. Let's you sample the wines before you choose. Free massages on Wednesdays and on the weekends they usually have a musical act. Highly recommend! Easily one of the nicest restrooms I have ever used (public or private). The cleanliness is magnificent. A really nice, upscale establishment with a very relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. It is family owned and run and everyone makes you feel welcome. They have live music starting at 8pm on Sat evenings and complimentary chair massages on Wednesdays. A great selection of wines and you can buy by the bottle or glass. They do not serve food but you're welcome to bring your own and Panera Bread is right next door. I've heard this place use to be great until the new owners took over and having recently experienced it I can understand the loss in profits. The owner? stood behind the "bar" snarling and couldn't be bothered to come out from behind it. She snapped "didn't you already get a cup? Go get it, we are short on cups". One of my absolute favorite places in the QCA. I love the atmosphere, the complimentary bread, and the selection of wines that you can't find in the store. The staff is very friendly, helpful, attentive, and knowledgeable. I have tried numerous wines from here, and they are all great. They have wines of the day/week that you can try and flight deals. They can also open a bottle of wine for you so you can hang out for a bit. If you love great wine, you will love this place! read more

Attended an event here. Was excited to check it out. Unfortunately, I will not be going back. Owner (man) was rude to my group b/c one of us was not drinking (only drinking soda). He made us feel rushed and was very curt. The place was supposed to be open til 9pm so there was still 2 groups talking and drinking. When he realized that we were not ordering more, he told us "closing time" and basically booted us out. In the parking lot, I asked the people from the other table and they said they were not done drinking but he told them "time to leave." Not impressed at all. Our book club met there tonight and after 2 (one of which was pregnant) of the first 3 girls to arrive didn't order drinks right away the server asked why we would come there if we weren't drinking. She was exceptionally rude and unwelcoming to the point that we left. They lost a customer for life and all the members of book club that would of gladly ordered wine. read more
