King Thai Massage did not mention that they would not be covered by SunLife and when my husband put the claim in through later that night it was rejected as King Thai Massage is a delisted provider. I am now out $60 on something I assumed would be 100% covered. I requested some accommodation by just refunding me the $25 RMT premium and the location refused. Needless to say I will never go back and I hope to warn others ahead of time as well.

The therapist should cover whole of your body and concentrate on your pain points. Massage should have a relaxing effect and an instant relief in body-aches. I don't like therapist talking constantly during message. The massage pressure should be controlled either hard or gentle, but I hate when you ask for a hard massage and therapist just elbow your back for whole of the time. So Kelly's spa met all my expectations without saying. The therapist are professional and they will understand your pain area and cover your whole body from head to toe including hand and legs, giving a special treatment to your pain area, for me it was shoulders and neck. The therapist also applied soothing balm, which gave me more relief. I felt like sleeping on the table. There is nothing to complain about. Totally worth the money, infact the place is reasonably priced or say a steal-deal, compared to other useless spas.

I went upstairs to check in, and they led me downstairs, which was quiet and appeared to be an overflow area for when it was too busy upstairs. Lily was ok with English, and quite skilled too. I now know to ask for the pressure at the beginning if they don't ask, and she was good with heavy pressure, although not quite as intense as at XiangXiang. She also seemed to know where to apply pressure that would do the most good for me. I found that a good masseuse will know where the pressure is needed, without having to ask. The pacing was pretty good, although she was interrupted a couple times with admin but given how busy it was, it seemed not overly disruptive. She also seemed to have her eye on a surveillance monitor which was in the room, allowing them to keep watch on several different areas of the business. I haven't seen this anywhere else, but was understandable with how intense this place can get. I see that Yelp lists them as open until 10:30 pm which is at least an hour later than anywhere else, although I didn't confirm the hours during my visit. Overall a great experience and I will consider them in my top tier.

I decided to do the 30 minute foot reflexology with the 10 minute shoulder massage and then get the free 10 minutes added on to it. At the time I went, it was $40 total. The place was clean and the rooms were private. Seating area looked very nice. I really enjoyed my foot rub but I did find the shoulder massage was mediocre. I don't think the therapist was targeting the right spots. Perhaps getting one of the other staff might have been better. Other than that, it was a good price.

My first impression is that this is the most legit spa I've seen in Chinatown so far. Even their business card says "accept insurance" on it so someone there must have a RMT license and adhere to the rules enough to keep their license. The other thing that gave me a more elevated impression about Blue Sky is that they have some expensive looking gear in there. Not that I know what it's for but it looks impressive. Now that I've tried reflexology, I'm hooked on that and find it relaxing and a great way to get in the mood for a massage. It helps to be in the right mood for a massage to be effective. If it takes a half hour into the massage to get that way, then that's less time for the massage to do the most good. I had a smartly-dressed more mature woman named Lucy take care of me, and she told me to try and sleep or relax with the reflexology and turned the lights right down to pretty dark which was great and worked a treat. Since they tend to massage up your calves it's almost a good idea to take your pants off, or wear light sweatpants so they aren't fighting their way down during the reflexology. Next the massage and her technique was quite impressive. She wasn't a large person but amazingly strong and could boss my body around without a problem. I appreciated how she could grab a leg or other part and shake it like you sometimes want to shake sense into someone (but can't) and in this case my body needed some sense shaken into it, so wow I'll be considering Lucy as my go-to for the best value in Chinatown massage done right! I didn't see it on the sign in the room, but at the desk they listed a 90-min massage as an option, which would be awesome especially coupled with another 30-min of reflexology beforehand. Booking online is a breeze and they bill your insurance company directly. Everything is just really well organized and run. Front desk staff have always been friendly, not to mention their tiny dog who you might see in the reception area! The facilities are clean and spa-like. They always have some kind of cucumber or fruit water at the front which is a nice touch. I've been coming here for about half a year and have no complaints. Would recommend this to those who are looking for an actual therapeutic massage, rather than just a "relaxation massage". I.e. the more questions you ask or information you can give the RMT, the better they will tailor your treatment to help with particular areas of discomfort. They will often give you stretches to do at home or other lifestyle modifications to optimize your posture and mobility.

Got a 60 minute Thai full body massage with Sandy…read more I asked for a Swedish but she started doing Thai and I (internally laughed and) thought to myself, "oh well let's just try it" - I did not regret it! Some parts of the massage hurt like when she used her fingers and toes to lessen the tension in my back and neck but nothing was unbearable. She focused on my back, shoulders, and legs. The deep tissue massages through my sore muscles was very much needed! I particularly enjoyed when she'd distribute her body weight by stepping on my back and legs. If you've never had someone step on your back, here's a place you can try it! Sandy also used Thai oil and it made my skin feel and smell amazing. I love how comfortable the room was with great smells, a comfortable massage surface, and really relaxing music. In addition for massages, I prefer if there's minimal talking and we didn't speak at all which was a bonus. I was so relaxed I drooled and was drifting to sleep! Note: no registered massage therapists available here and you can get a discount if you pay with cash. I would certainly return.
